The Guardian reports that two British climbers were rescued from a Swiss mountain after three days in a blizzard, by texting a friend in London.

Rachel Kelsey and Jeremy Colenso were winched to safety by a helicopter rescue crew after two nights of sub-zero temperatures, by which time their texting digits must have been in danger of falling off.

We are pleased to say that they have come through their ordeal unscathed, and simply went off for a hot bath when they got back.

However, a spokesman from the Priory addictions unit has contacted them to invite them to discuss “issues surrounding their texting behaviour”.’
