Footing The Bill

‘SADLY, the one thing Grayson Perry forgot to bare on his big night were his toes.

Another of Jimmy Choo’s victims

Perhaps he is ashamed of his feet? Perhaps he is one of the non-beautiful people for whom the words bunion and corn prick with the force of a sharpened stiletto?

But no longer do you people with ugly feet need to suffer in brogues, Uggs and hob-nail boots because the age of freedom is upon you. It is time to get a toe job.

The Independent says that doctors in the US of A are performing more toe jobs than ever before.

On people like Jennifer Cho, who started to develop corns from wearing high heels. The remedy was not to stop wearing the shoes but to have her toes shortened. Easy.

And she’s not alone, since, as the report states, about 80% of all foot surgery is performed on women because their shoes are too tight.

To use the analogy of voting, it’s like a 16-year-old trying to squeeze into a size-18 polling booth. It just looks wrong.’
