A Good Ikea?

Falluja?

News in the Independent that Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of Ikea, is now officially the richest man in the world gets us thinking.

Perhaps Mr Kamprad, who by all accounts lives a very modest lifestyle, would care to donate some of his £32bn fortune in the form of flat-packed furniture to the troubled country.

Not only would it help in the reconstruction of Iraq, but the job of assembling a selection of tables, shelves, chest of drawers and wardrobes would surely keep the Iraqis quiet for months.

In the meantime, the US could hand over power to the interim government and slip quietly out of the country before it erupts again in an anger of bruised thumbs, wobbly legs and missing limbs.’
