Britpop Quiz

Oasis Britpop Quiz‘IF a bird is as bright as a mammal, then they should be able to prove it by sitting the same exams as we sit.

Noel and Liam deny copying from Paul, John, Ringo and George’s homework

And where better to start than with the new GCSE in music which from September will, says the Guardian, include a new module in Britpop.

Of course, this will be a doddle for songbirds, who will only need to remember three chords instead of 2,000 different melodies to get an A.

But for the non-feathered pupils, it may be more of a challenge.

“Oasis were gloriously basic and made a virtue of it,” he says, “but God help the students in the classroom taking apart the music of Kula Shaker and Northern Uproar.

“There’s nothing there.”’
