4×4 The Good Of All

After decades of decline in the numbers of road deaths, the rise of the so-called “Chelsea tractor” is reversing the trend.

When vehicles collide, the people in the small car are 12 times more likely to be killed than the woman in her helmet of blonde hair patrolling the school run in her city tank.

This, to the paper, and the Transport Research Laboratory which carried out the study, is awful.

But surely it is entirely what these designer white vans are about. The 4×4 vehicle is good for intimidating other road users.

As such, we should take our hats off to the selfless men and women who drive these sad vehicles.

If in striking the fear of God into other motorists they can clear the roads of a few cars, traffic congestion will surely ease.

These heroic and socially responsible people should be applauded…
