So when Hello! went to Cheltenham, it would only be a matter of nanoseconds before some blueblood turned up.

And so it came to pass, the magazine that knows spotted Zara Phillips walking hand in hand with her boyfriend, the rugby star Mike Tindall.

Dressed in mini-skit and high boots, Zara “looked every inch the girl about town”, or the paddock, as it was.

And Mike looked just terrific in his light grey livery and spotted tie.

Zara then “planted a big kiss on her big man’s cheek” and rubbed his nose and petted his withers…’
