‘HOW it was that Kerry Katona was not invited to the party for Lynn Faulds Woods’ bowel cancer campaign at a London club we may never know.

As OK! says, 2005 was Kerry’s “annus horribilis”, topping 2004, 2003 and so on. A celebrity showing for bowel cancer would have been just what the doctor ordered.

Perhaps the tale of Kerry’s non-involvement in the Z-list do of the year - so far! - will form an integral and gripping part of any forthcoming autobiography.

What we get instead is to see Kerry attending the opening of a car door as she drops her two daughters off at ex-husband Brian McFadden’s place.

Over no fewer than seven pictures crammed into just two pages, readers get to see award-winning celebrity mum Kerry wave goodbye to her kids - “so their party-loving mum was finally able to let her hair down”.

And before you write in demanding to know – that is Kerry’s brown hair. And it was tied back in a stumpy ponytail.’
