Brook’s Shield

by | 20th, January 2006

‘HE, dressed like a camp Inspector Clouseau in artfully tied raincoat, leather gloves and matching leather hat, she, done up like a mannequin from a 1950s shop window, Billy Zane and Kelly Brook opened the Harrod’s winter sale.

To shoppers’ cries of “Get on with it”, “I love you Denise van Outen” and “If she grabs that sofa I’m after, I’ll kill her”, the pair took their career-defining moment in their stride.

And very soon Kelly and Billy plan to be walking together before another audience – when they get hitched in three months time.

It promises to be one helluva do, even if Kelly has not yet decided on a venue and who will get the plumb job of designing her dress.

But, then, what will we know about it anyhow? Doubtless OK! would be interested in securing the rights to broadcast such a fine wedding to the masses, but Kelly says it’s to be “a private affair”.

Unless Kelly considers OK!’s hacks and snappers part of her inner circle, private means that OK! will not be invited.

So what will we get to see if not Kelly and Billy tying the knot? We need a wedding.

It could be time to dust off that cake, reconstitute the crabsticks and give Phillip Turner and Gary Cockerill another call…’
