If Charles "consulted widely" before opening his large royal mouth on the subject of McDonalds, how come nobody told him that his own Duchy products contain more fat than a Big Mac? And it seems strange that this man, who is apparently soooo concerned about the environment that he "cancels private trips", still took 17 staff (plus Camilla) on a jolly over the pond - bet that caused slightly more carbon emissions than a few polo ponies...?
If the man can't even sort out his own toothpaste, why should those of us who not only have to squeeze the tube but also (perish the thought) have to hold the brush as well and actually operate the thing, take the slightest bit of notice of any of the drivel that comes out of his mouth (or should that be dribble..?)
Until he starts living in the real world, where people are made to pay the taxes due and have to do the minimum at least to look after themselves, Charles will continue to be ridiculed and ignored for the spoilt, spoon-fed, patronising fairy tale that he is, ensuring the further and swift decline of the monarchy for many years to come.
And I for one won't miss it when it dies.
