FORMER Vice President Al “The Goracle” Gore took his environmental message to the heart of government yesterday with an appearance before two house committees and one senate committee.
The Nobel Peace Prize nominee and Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker gave an impressive performance. Warning of a “planetary emergency” and calling for a freeze on carbon dioxide emissions and a ban on incandescent light bulbs he was treated with respect by most lawmakers.
But it wasn’t a clean sweep. In the Senate, James B Inhofe, the ranking Republican on the Environment and Public Works Committee called Gore’s views “alarmist” and accused him of “inaccuracies” and “misleading statements.”
Not surprising really considering Inhofe thinks global warming is a hoax.
Whereas this looks all too real…
