Rosie O’Donnell Gives British Captives In Iran A Tonkin
FORMER comedienne turned talk show co-host Rosie O’Donnell thinks she knows the truth behind the Iranian hostage crisis. The Brits “did it on purpose.”
“There were 15 British sailors and marines who apparently went in to Iranian waters and they were seized by the Iranians. And I have one thing to say. Gulf of Tonkin. Google it,” Rosie told Americans who tuned into the View talk show last week.
O’Donnell was referring to the alleged attack on US ships in the Gulf of Tonkin that provided the pretext for America’s escalation of the Vietnam conflict.
Her comments have thrown her into a war of her own with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly, who insinuated she ought to be sacked, and with arch nemesis Donald Trump, who told a US radio station that O’Donnell should be thrown off the air.
But O’Donnell is unrepentant. On her blog she claims that the British kidnapping was part of a covert operation to provide the pretext for war:
“the british did it on purpose
into iranian waters
as
US MILITARY BUILD UP ON THE IRANIAN BORDER
we will be in iran
before summer
as planned”
While O’Donnell touts her conspiracy theory, New York’s tabloids have been foaming at the mouth over Britain’s lack of aggression.
The New York Post accused Tony Blair of displaying a “surprising weakness and impotence” and the Daily News described Downing Street’s response as “depressingly tepid.”
Meanwhile, the New York Sun claims that the Pentagon and the US military fear Iran may wait until Tony Blair leaves office before releasing the hostages.
“If the Iranians hold onto the hostages until Mr. Blair is out of office, it would…be a blow to American prestige, as Mr. Blair was the most vocal ally of America’s war to topple Saddam Hussein,” the paper reported.

Someone needs to stuff Rosie’s mouth with male genitals to shut her up already. She’s an embarassment to the U.S. Free speech doesn’t need to include ignorant hate speech. Since Rosie seems to love Iran, I wonder if she also agrees with Iran’s president that the Holocaust was a myth.

I can’t believe that someone who is trying to become a respected political commentator would make the cardinal sin of stating opinion without backing it up with evidence or proof. She is stating her opinions as fact, as if there is no other possible explanation for this hostage crisis and then she stops short of giving any real evidence that her opinion is true…other than the fact that it makes a really good conspiracy theory. If Stone Phillips or Charles Gibson had said these same things without evidence, the networks would have had to fire them to save face. There is a way to state opinions so that they aren’t mistaken for statements of fact. Go back to Jounalism 101 and learn it.

Rosie the Reviler is what she is called here. She degrades ALL the service-people fighting for her right to flap her fat anti-American mouth. She has already admitted she’s nuts, but then people rubber-neck a car crash to see the maimed.
She also shut down her web remarks. She can embolden the terrorist with her televised, pro-terrorist remarks but cries when she is called what she is, A traitor to the country where she was born.

I think we have freedom of speech in this country, she just said what everybody else is thinking. War with Iran would help the republicans go back into office. We would have a new bad guy to fight.
