Rosie O’Donnell And Donald Trump’s Bad Taste
THE awards may have been intended to celebrate women in the media, but there was nothing ladylike about emcee Rosie O’Donnell who finished off a rant about her archnemisis Donald Trump by grabbing her crotch and shouting, “Eat me.”
O’Donnell’s boss on the View, talk show host doyenne Barbara Walters, covered her face with her hands, according to the New York Post’s Page Six.
O’Donnell’s rant, at the New York Women in Communication annual awards luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria, was probably payback for Trump’s latest stunt last week when he mailed Walters a framed gigantic pair of panties worn by O’Donnell in the 1994 movie Exit to Eden.
“I sent it to Barbara [Walters] to hang in her office because I didn’t want it in mine,” Trump told the New York Post. “It was funny, except that it was really gross. It’s disgusting. I feel sorry for [Rosie's] wife. It can’t be pleasant.”
O’Donnell’s foul-mouthed retaliation yesterday was in front of a crowd of 2,000 that included Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, media mogul Rupert Murdoch and, according to the New York Post, “17 high school girls who won scholarships to pursue their dreams of careers in media.”
What lessons the girls will take away from O’Donnell’s example is anyone’s guess, after she told the audience it was sad Trump thought she was “disgusting” and “fat” because “it was always my dream to give an old, bald billionaire a boner.”
One unnamed woman told the Post: “I cringed and dove under the table when she said, ‘Eat me,’ ”
Strangely absent from the Post’s coverage of the event was another target of Rosie’s ire, News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch. (Prop. The New York Post.)
“This is a celebration of women who changed the world and no one understands why Rupert Murdoch is on the dais,” she told the audience, adding, “”I was looking for numbers on his head. There aren’t any.”

Seriously people, how can you condone such crass language and behavior? Why are we allowing the degrade of American society by praising such people as these two? In front of high school aged girls? Rosie needs to watch her mouth and think about the context that she is in when speaking. As far as the hiring of a comedian, there are many comedians out there that are actually funny. Sometimes I think that people laugh at people such as this out of pity and that inflates their egos. And they start to think they are funny.
Donald also needs to step off his high horse as well. Listen to what you are saying, Donald. Of course she is going to turn around and bite back. If one of them would learn humility then it would be over. And if the other insisted on continuing the battle they would show just how sad they are and be humiliated.
I don’t pretend to have all the answers and I slip up myself. But I try to be humble about it and ask forgiveness. We do need to start trying to preserve some form of moral integrity. I know we have the freedom of speach, but there is a line of what is acceptable and what is not. Rosie and Donald pranced right over that line. What happened to respect?
Well that’s my two cents.

They both need to consider the consequences of their words (and actions.. crotch grabs, Rosie? Seriously?). They both must love the attention, since they’re choosing to give each other ammo. If they truly wanted it to end, they’d agree to disagree, keep their mouths shut in public and move on. Stop trying to consider Rosie a woman who’s helping to empower overweight women… or lezbians… whatever it is she’s trying to do. Respect doesn’t come to you when you approach problems in such a manner. And Donald… try using your brain instead of your wallet to solve problems. Sue her? Please… Like you need it.

Eat me? Boner? Ahhh, what a lovely lexicon this lady lauds — all of that accompanied with a harsh New York accent.
It is enough that she is ill-informed and displays her ignorance, but she does it with such a lilt. Nice influence on all of her adopted children, I would say.

While I do not agree with many of Rosie’s views or actions, I do take exception to Donald Trump’s hypocrisy as his verbal spewing is very much the pot calling the kettle black. I would expect that a well-known and wealthy business person would rise above the conduct he is constantly deriding others, such as Rosie, for and act with restraint, professionalism and class. Instead he chooses to speak in a bigoted, unprofessional and childishly petulant manner in his attempts to foster a spirit of hate by his very choice of words. What a lousy example he is providing in doing exactly what he derides. I cannot feel respect or admiration for this hypocritical grown-man, only an awareness that his way is to forever take the perpetual “low road”.

I can’t believe that Rosie is still permitted to spew her mouth at any function-public or not! What a disgrace she is to women across this country. Fire Rosie and rehire Imus!

They hired a comic. Comics are vulgar. They got what they paid for.
Oh, and Margaret, you’re an ugly whore.
Feel good getting called a nasty name, douche-bag?

I cannot understand why Rosie O’Donnell is still on TV… She disgusts me and I will not watch the View until she is gone. Her gross remarks are beyond bad taste in a professional setting. I only hope she will soon be gone from view. I am slowly losing respect for Barbara Walters as she keeps her in our face.
I hope Donald keeps the heat on her….She is truly a PIG…FAT OR NOT…
