Watch The US Presidential Debate On The Web

SHOULD we all be able to watch the US Presidential debate? We could all watch the action if the debate was broadcast over the internet.

Many believe the US leaders is the UK’s leader by proxy, so why not let us see the action?

As Znet reports, Stanford law professor Lawrence Lessig, has asked chairs of the Democratic and Republican National Committees to ensure that video from the 2008 presidential debates can be uploaded, distributed and edited by anyone online.

“The initial reaction, from everyone who has responded, is very good,” says Lessig. “It’s a precedent about encouraging citizen-generated content.”

Should we see the debate? And why shouldn’t we?
