Like you, we too are shocked to open the Enquirer and see the pneumatic blonde posing for the snappers. And she’s talking.
Is this some macabre new sideshow in a life of show? Is this what happens when Hollywood’s biggest stars exit stage right?
Who needs to eke out entertainment from nodding heads passing judgement on the dearly departed and bowdlerising their work in kiss-and-tells and cod tributes when you can just keep the real deal ticking on for ever with some animatronics, nylon and glue?
So this is Anna Nicole Smith. The new old Anna Nicole Smith.
To many eyes, the differences between the old and the new appear minimal. But to keen Anna watchers, the one on the left is not Anna at all but Dawn Behren.
As the Enquirer reporters, Anna’s “doppelganger” died with her muse.
As Dawn says: “But now companies are afraid to hire me as Anna for their functions because they’re concerned people may think it’s in bad taste.”
Bad taste? Anna Nicole Smith… Who’s the daddy? Ancient husband… Bad taste? Why now?
“Instead,” says Dawn, “I’ve been posing as Marilyn Monroe, who I used to impersonate years ago before everybody kept mistaking me for Anna.”
And has not Dawn hit upon her new career, by accident.
Hired by the same person who employs Elvis Presley to flip burgers in various locales across Middle America, Dawn could lift the Anna Nicole Smith myth to a new level.
Who can believe the Enquirer would not pay well for stories from people who claim to have seen Anna in a carwash, Anna in a nun’s habit, Anna on a grassy knoll with her legs wrapped around James Dean…

Hey to Dawnn/Anna,
It is a shame that Anna has left the world, but it is wonderful
to know that there is someone who resembles her in so many
ways and is here amongst us. She is not trying to replace Anna;
she can’t help it that she resembles her, and with people
appreciating the fact, why not?!!!
Thanks Dawnn, what a way to help keep someone’s spirit
alive. Not to mention your own gifts/talents that you are blessed with.
I have heard you sing, and I don’t know if Anna could sing,
but Dawnn most certainly can!!!
Thank you Dawnn!!!

Anorak, Please note one correction should be made, I was featured in the Globe magazine, not the Enquirer. At least I wasn’t aware of being in the Enquirer.
If I was in the Enquirer, that’s fine with me, but the original interview was done by reporter/writer Drew MacKenzie of the Globe. Maybe he writes for them too, I don’t know but he really should get the credit.
Still love your story but thought I should clarify that.
Thanks!

Someone spotted me at Olive Garden last night LOL! She said “Do you know who you look like?” it was the usual scenario, fun just the same.
I’ll be sure to let you know when I see Elvis again. We perform together often. I think he’s flying in from England to Orlando Florida next weekend, so I’ll be sure to give him your regards.

Anna Looks just like Elvis, what a fun story!
I am Dawnn Behrens, the Anna Nicole Impersonator written about. Everyday I get comments on my resemblance to Anna Nicole Smith, which I find very flattering. I hope she will be remembered as a very fun loving, sweet, and beautiful woman and mother.

This is an Elvis picture. What happened to the ANS shot? The caption says Anna Nicole Smith, but it’s an Elvis impersonator
