Ryan Fitzerald Is Listening
RYAN Fitzgerald, 20, of Massachusetts, USA, is unemployed and lives with his dad.
He has time on his hands. So as CNN reports, he posted a video with his mobile phone number on YouTube on Friday.
And, as Fitzgerald tells The Boston Globe, since last Friday he has received more than 5,000 calls and text messages.
Says he: “I haven’t quite figured out what I’m going to do about it. Come Monday, no way I’m going to just hang up on people and say, ‘I don’t have the minutes”‘…
“Some people’s own mothers won’t take the time to sit down and talk with them and have a conversation,” Fitzgerald said. “But some stranger on YouTube will. After six seconds, you’re not a stranger anymore, you’re a new kid I just met.”
Kids who are going to find out where you live. Or just stick your number on a toilet door with an invitation to call it for “good times”…
