Turkey’s Neck: More Anti-Islamic Protest
A HUGE protest against Islamic rule in Turkey. And after similar scenes in Pakistan.
“They want to drag Turkey to the dark ages,” said 63-year-old Ahmet Yurdakul, one of the million making the voices heard.
“As a woman I want to be free… We are here to protest against being covered,” said Canan Karatay, president of Istanbul Science University.
“Turkey is secular and will remain secular,” they chanted.
Moderate Muslims are making themselves heard.
