Madeleine McCann: Robert Murat And More Questions
MADELEINE McCann is missing. Still missing.
But today there is news. The daily front-page shots of Madeleine’s traumatised parents are moved further within the papers to make space for the head of Robert Murat.
“MADELEINE BRITISH MAN IS QUIZZED!” says the Mirror’s front-page headline.

After the speculation the paper delivers a welter of facts. Robert Murat lives with his mum. Robert Murat is in his 30s. Robert Murat lives with his mother in a villa 150 yards from the apartment where Madeleine McCann was snatched.
The Sun (“MADDIE: BRIT QUIZZED”) says Murat lives 100 yards from that McCann apartment. Like the Mirror, the Sun produces a front-page picture of “one-eyed Murat”. The Mail hears that Murat lost his eye in a BMX accident when he was a boy. The Mail says Murat lives 80 yards from Madeleine’s holiday apartment.
Murat is “stocky”. He offered to help the police hunt as a “translator”. He lives in Casa Liliana, with his mum Jenny.
The Suspect
The Sun’s Julie Moult considers the evidence. And delivers a piece entitled “stories of a fantasist”. “He always seemed so eager to get involved in the police investigation,” says the Sun’s woman–on-the-scene. “Robert claimed he had a daughter just like Madeleine and said he felt compelled to do anything he could. But to me he seemed like classic fantasist.”
The Sun introduces Martin Brunt, the crime news correspondent from its sister organ, TV’s Sky news.
He says Murat told him he’d been taken inside the McCanns’ apartment by police.
Sky news correspondent Ian Woods says he asked Murat to help him speak with locals.
“I met him and had a conversation with him. I tried to find out as much as I could about him,” says Woods, who checked out Murat’s details. “They did check out, and I left it at that for the time.”
The Mail’s Neil Sears also spots Murat. In “My encounters with a man ‘who just wanted to help’”, Sears tells Mail readers, “There was something more to the friendly expat who called himself ‘Rob’ than met the eye.”
Murat made Sears “feel slightly uncomfortable”.
But it was the Sunday Mirror’s Lori Cambell who alerted police to Murat’s behaviour, she saw as “creepy”.
Writing Wrongs
So much for investigative journalism. Questions were asked but nothing more was done. Murat is with police because he made a show of himself, because he acted as if working in an official capacity. Even though the Times says Murat was acting as “an official translator”.
So now the man in the chinos, with the glass eye, who lives with him mum and whose estranged wife, from Hockering, near Norwich, tells a neighbour “How could someone do something so terrible to little girl like that?’ is all over the papers.
Is Murat guilty? The papers produce nothing to indicate that he is. But if Murat is involved, look out for the stories of how British journalism cracked the case.
And look out for Madeleine McCann. Still missing…

if u read my posts, you will see that i am cynical regarding the psychic, how dare you be so patronising, why is there always someone who doesn’t care about what’s going on, but has to get oneupmanship on others with sarcasm and condesending. !!

Nobody is disputing that what they did was wrong, but a child is statistically far more likely to be killed in a road accident than abducted. Car accidents (unless they involve someone famous) do not generally get the same amount of publicity.

Hayley, stop shouting, please. And get a grip on the risks involved. The parents exposed their children to more risk of harm during the journey from the airport than in leaving them sleeping whilst they ate 50 yards away.

I’m not saying she is right I am just saying it sounds sort of the same and that psychics have been proven right in these sorts of situations and if they dont have any other concrete evidence then they could try and follow this up

Your friend said she was taken by a female german cleaner, now the police have questioned a male, portuguese cleaner and you claim it is proof she is right???
Maybe its really an episode of scooby doo and they’ll pull a mask off the cleaner and underneath the portuguese man mask its really a german woman your psychic friend was right all along

i realli do hope that the perosn / people who have taken this sweet lil girl bring her bak safe and sound and for all the people that are blamin it on the parent need to shut up do u not see wat has happened a lil girl has gne missin and all u care about is slaggin off the parents they aint dne nwt wrong, it the sick people/ person dat has taken her that has dne sme thing wrong and should be put in prison for it and the keg chucked away.
i personal think it is dat man that they have spoke to if madeleine looks like is kid den y nt take her well we will soon see i hope it is all over soon for her mum and dad and also her lil bro and sis they all need her bak safe and sound.

Hello again, thought I would check up on these posts today!
No more news yet, unfortunately, I’m still checking the web sites regularly in hope of an answer to this horrid situation…
Its unfortunate that we still feel the need to point blame at the parents, it will be said time and time again I’m sure.
Its strange to read back on some of these posts and see people making a suggestion that the farther may be involved as he was remaining so ‘calm’! They have to remain calm, they have two small children that I’m sure are demanding a lot of time and attention, they don’t have the privilege of being a ‘wreck’ - Plus, by keeping their emotions in check (so to speak) they are able to do the best job they can at keeping the profile of this abduction high.
Obviously if it turns out to be related to the parents/farther, he should be set free on the streets and mob rule should take care of it…
Anyways, another day is well on its way past, and we’ve still got no ‘real’ progress.

that psychic is a friend of mine leanne, i’m normally very cynical about these things but it seems to be becoming chillingly accurate.
she said 2 men and a blonde german woman, she said she was in gibraltar and frightened but she sensed she was alive.
she said the cleaner took her, and she could feel the wind in her hair, which i guess would indicate she had wandered out of the apartment and was picked up on the street

i know it makes people angry-i have a one year oild daughter and i would not leave her-but people are not perfect and we all make mistakes,
you cant blame the parents for the sick people in this world.

apparently a psychic phoned polive a couple of days after she was missing and said she had been taken by two men and a german woman and that she had been taken to gibralter and was scared but safe…. they have to consider all possibilities - in the Ian Huntley case Hollys parents spoke with a pyschic and she was spot on with what they found a week or so later….it has been proved that it works so why arent they doing it? sod your beliefs for 5 minutes when a childs life is at risk!

I KNOW IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY WHEN THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO CANT HAVE KIDS AND THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO TAKE THEIR KIDS FOR GRANTED IF THE BABYSITTING SERVICE WAS FULL PARENTS SHOULD HAVE EITHER TAKEN THEM WITH THEM OR NOT GONE OUT
