Madeleine McCann: Robert Murat And More Questions
MADELEINE McCann is missing. Still missing.
But today there is news. The daily front-page shots of Madeleine’s traumatised parents are moved further within the papers to make space for the head of Robert Murat.
“MADELEINE BRITISH MAN IS QUIZZED!” says the Mirror’s front-page headline.

After the speculation the paper delivers a welter of facts. Robert Murat lives with his mum. Robert Murat is in his 30s. Robert Murat lives with his mother in a villa 150 yards from the apartment where Madeleine McCann was snatched.
The Sun (“MADDIE: BRIT QUIZZED”) says Murat lives 100 yards from that McCann apartment. Like the Mirror, the Sun produces a front-page picture of “one-eyed Murat”. The Mail hears that Murat lost his eye in a BMX accident when he was a boy. The Mail says Murat lives 80 yards from Madeleine’s holiday apartment.
Murat is “stocky”. He offered to help the police hunt as a “translator”. He lives in Casa Liliana, with his mum Jenny.
The Suspect
The Sun’s Julie Moult considers the evidence. And delivers a piece entitled “stories of a fantasist”. “He always seemed so eager to get involved in the police investigation,” says the Sun’s woman–on-the-scene. “Robert claimed he had a daughter just like Madeleine and said he felt compelled to do anything he could. But to me he seemed like classic fantasist.”
The Sun introduces Martin Brunt, the crime news correspondent from its sister organ, TV’s Sky news.
He says Murat told him he’d been taken inside the McCanns’ apartment by police.
Sky news correspondent Ian Woods says he asked Murat to help him speak with locals.
“I met him and had a conversation with him. I tried to find out as much as I could about him,” says Woods, who checked out Murat’s details. “They did check out, and I left it at that for the time.”
The Mail’s Neil Sears also spots Murat. In “My encounters with a man ‘who just wanted to help’”, Sears tells Mail readers, “There was something more to the friendly expat who called himself ‘Rob’ than met the eye.”
Murat made Sears “feel slightly uncomfortable”.
But it was the Sunday Mirror’s Lori Cambell who alerted police to Murat’s behaviour, she saw as “creepy”.
Writing Wrongs
So much for investigative journalism. Questions were asked but nothing more was done. Murat is with police because he made a show of himself, because he acted as if working in an official capacity. Even though the Times says Murat was acting as “an official translator”.
So now the man in the chinos, with the glass eye, who lives with him mum and whose estranged wife, from Hockering, near Norwich, tells a neighbour “How could someone do something so terrible to little girl like that?’ is all over the papers.
Is Murat guilty? The papers produce nothing to indicate that he is. But if Murat is involved, look out for the stories of how British journalism cracked the case.
And look out for Madeleine McCann. Still missing…

this is a con, planned by the parents themselves. their cool exterior and reluctance to look at the camera proves this.
A money making scheme i hate to say.
Otherwise, why would they leave their kids that night and how could any passer by know there were children alone in that room at that particular time. Unless it was organized, its all very dubious, unclear and very skillfully planned to con us all, yes i am sure they know their daughter is alive and looked after, after all they know who took her.

I must admit I am in two minds as to whether phychics get it right. I had a reading once and I was amazed at how much was true……I was adamant I would not give anything away!………..I know the Police have used their services in the past, and these have proven useful, I just feel that in this case, it will be too little too late. I wish whole heartedly that Maddy is found alive, if this is not to be, then at least let her parents have a body to put to rest. Please

For the past two days I have read the postings on this site. Firstly, the merits of whether or not Madeline’s parents were right to have the children alone?. I am a parent of a teenager, but when I think back: perhaps I might have taken the chance to grab a pint of milk on one occasion, only to find my daughter pulling back the curtains to look for me. In fear,I screamed the implications of her actions, without reference to my own stupidity. In fact my next door neighobour later reproached my actions and offered her assistance in the future. I’m a single mother,I didn’t have a car at the time and the child neeeded her breakfast!. However, even I wouldn’t have left three children under four unsupervised. It’s just too risky. the babies may have wanted milk, Maddie may have needed the toilet etc etc.
Unfortunately, for the couple, they are paying a terrible price for their “me time” and I truly sincerely hope that their beautiful daughter is found alive, at least god, alive!!!.
With regards to psychic phenomena; if I haven’t missed anything in the postings then her ‘visions’ may seem visionary!!!. However, speaking from a psychological perspective : science wise, it’s improbable. Her hunches are simply a culmination of observed data, she perhaps has spent far too much time on the Internet, myself included !.
With regards to the ’suspect’ Robert Murat. Morally, I believe a man is innocent until proven guility. However, inntuivately, the evidence appears to be mounting, circumstancial, I agree, but perhaps I’m wrong, but I would find it incrediable that the british press and indeed the portugese police would allow all of this speculation to spiral without evidence. Although, I do bear in mnd the numereous miscarriages of justic over the years and so will keep an open mind.
I have searched many websites today, and the consensus appears to be that Maddie let herself out of the room to search for her parents and found herself at the Supermarket. The leads then run cold.
If this was an organised gang, then you surely, do not plan that parents are going to leave their children.Unless, they had observed that the parents had done this previously. I am sorry to say, this 1/2 hourly checks seems dubious. How long were the family at this resort before this incident occurred. Is it true, they went with other friends, who are they?,. Neverthe less, what has happened as a consequence is ……
Hypothesising about what may have occurred, I’m not sure. Looking at image websites of the abuduction, there are numerous roads. perhaps the the liitle girl ran out in front of a car, it seems more probable than a sex attack. If i’m honest, given the number of days, I would prefer that Madeline was a victim of a tragic car accident whose perpertrator became confused rather than at the mercy of some sadistic brute.
Lets’s hope I’m wrong and the little girl is found safe and well, remember the teenage girls found in Russia, after years. The young boys in America.

I am somewhat sad with my thoughts that we may never find Maddy let alone alive. I know this seems rather harsh and we would all wish a safe return, but the longer time goes by, the more my thoughts are darkened by what my have happened to her.
I watch the news with hope of her safe return, but ………………… well I am sure some of you think the same.

London-born Murat also repeatedly went in and out of the family’s holiday apartment, potentially contaminating the crime scene. He helped co-ordinate initial searches and within 24 hours of Madeleine’s disappearance had told locals she was wearing pink pyjamas.Days later, Murat is believed to have returned to the UK to visit his former wife Dawn and their daughter Sofia in Norfolk.
My previous post: Have the police checked Robert Murat’s travel details when he travelled out of Portugal for a few days last week including if he had anyone travelling with him, the possibility of a child similar to his daughter and being treated as his daughter. Could he have taken Madeline with him as his daughter if she is so like his daughter he could have got through the passport check with the child being treated as his own if his daughter is on his passport. It is a possibility.Are we sure that he went directly to England. Surely his travel details should be checked.
This reminds me of the 11 yr old Robert Dennehy from Middleton in Cork when the killer Wayne O’Donoghue helped in the search, visited Robert’s house and assured Roberts mother that he would be found. He only confessed when Roberts phone was traced and his body was found.

Mirror 18th May. He was also linked to a business in Lagos offering boat trips in the Mediterranean and to North Africa.
Mirror 17th May Local reports claim Malinka disappeared from Praia da Luz at about the time Madeleine was plucked from her holiday apartment. Malinka is the third friend of Murat to be interrogated. On Monday, Murat’s German girlfriend Michaela Walczuch and her Portuguese husband Luis Antonio were held.
If these people are innocent forgive me for all the speculation but every suspicion has to be eliminated.
So concerned for Madeline and her parents.

The most imporatant thing is getting this child found.
Robert Murat has been interviewed in relation to the case. Why on earth do the tabloids have to focus on his glass eye, he had an affair, has started an intenet business and lives with his mother? All to quick to want to assume he his guilty, all to quick to want to bring about hate. Tabloids do not understand, they could be driving an innocent man to suicide because of their hunt for scandal, if he is found innocent, tabloids involved should suffer heavily.
No-one has found this child yet, pray that they find her safe and that the person responsible (If she has been taken and not wandered) is punished accordingly.

It’s not a question of “he hasn’t actually been found guilty yet”, as if he inevitably will. Robert Murat hasn’t even been CHARGED with anything.
But I wasn’t making that comment to you, just posters in general making ludicrous comments like: “Also murat says he was starting up a internet company-sounds suspect.”
