If you think millitary service is a pre-requisite for formulating a good foreign policy or leading a war or ending one, think again. Take a lesson in American History and specifically the war times. What you need is a good judgement and the ability to coordinate as the commander in chief. The best wars were coordinated by truly civilian presidents. Their ability to co-ordinate won the war. If you think otherwise you might as well elect our leaders through the barrel of guns.
