Hugo Chavez: Now Venezuela Belongs To Everyone
HUGO Chavez, Vezezuelan President and friend to London mayor Ken Livingstone, has shut down Radio Caracas Television. Chavez refused to renew its license, accusing the channel of “subversive” activities.
The new channel, TVES, launched its transmissions with artists singing pro-Chavez music, then carried an exercise program and a talk show, interspersed with government ads proclaiming, “Now Venezuela belongs to everyone.”
Do you think Ken should get his own TV station. And what about a song?

This quote from Time magazine is a lie. I just watched a replay of the inaugural transmission of TVes. The station launched it’s transmission with the singing of the VENEZUELAN NATIONAL ANTHEM … the same anthem, I might add, that RCTV broadcast (in a very propagandistic fashion) at the END of their transmission.
Now, how can the National Anthem be a “pro-Chavez” song when TVes broadcasts it, and NOT a “pro-Chavez” song when RCTV broadcasts it? RCTV used the anthem to exploit (through visual accompaniment) their “martyrdom”. TVes presented the song in respectful fashion.
Don’t believe it? Look up “TVes” on YouTube and watch for yourself.
Expect no truth from corporate media. EVER.
