I came here, via a Google News link, because this article was marked as satire. I'm a bit disappointed though, because the style of the piece is not exaggerated enough. It reads too much like genuine Zionist rants. You have to make it even more absurd if you want to write decent satire.

I can say that the UCU decision to check ways to boycott Israel academy and as we might suggest that they intend to boycott all their relations to Israeli sources of information, knowledge, search and dialogue accepted within the Israeli public in much skepticism, distrust and disrespect and contempt. I don't know what future will make to this unpractical decision, but many of the British academia personnel will prefer to continue their professional relations with the Israelis.

Those academia personnel who identify with the resolution didn't have ties on professional basis, at the first place, with Israelis. All what they seek is saying their political agenda in public through extreme and unbalanced positions and way of looking at the ME reality. If they want to judge they have to be balanced and unbiased and talk with the mainstream Israeli academia too. But they failed only because of their arrogance and remoteness. So, they can't really judge that case.

I'm sure that we here in Israel will awake up tomorrow to another day and we will forget the absurdity of some honored by themselves British professors. May be some will privately boycott British goods in places they can satisfied with other ones. But Israelis as a whole won't boycott no one as long is not necessary and efficient.
