Thought Police Take UK Driving Tests
THEY want to check your brains. They want to stop the crime before it happens:
Psychological assessments should become part of the UK driving test, a road safety expert has urged.
Robert Gifford, director of a road safety charity, told BBC Radio Five Live the current system failed to root out drivers prone to breaking rules.
He said psychometric tests could help to identify people with the wrong attitude to the road.

Learn and Live has long supported the proposal to require a compulsory attitude test before a driver is allowed to take a driving test. We also want a Graduated Driving Licence that covers the vulnerable period after the practical driving test. However, any legislation requires an increased police presence on the roads and cannot rely on cameras alone to enforce rules that are intended to save lives.
Learn and Live has been campaigning for safer driver training since 1989. Many of our supporters have lost their children as young drivers or their passengers.
