Lewis Hamilton Speeds Towards £50million-A-Year, Police Alerted
AT last, a new golden boy of British sport who actually wins things.
Formula One rookie Lewis Hamilton has made an almighty splash in the motor racing world this season and with a Grand Prix victory already under his belt, the affable 22-year-old could become Britain’s first £50million-a-year sportsman.
According to the Mirror, within three years, Hamilton could see his income soar to over £1million for every racing day he is in the car. Presuming he wins the Drivers’ Championship, that is.
A not inconsiderable £5million has been invested in Hamilton’s development over the years and now team bosses Ron Dennis and Martin Whitmarsh are reaping the rewards of their costly gamble.
While Hamilton’s own predicted rewards could see him joining the likes of Tiger Woods in the superstar stratosphere.
The youngster, who is currently earning a paltry £250,000 in his debut season, is set to appear in a new Abbey television commercial with his picture appearing in all 750 UK branches.
And Hamilton’s picture should appear in more places than that. Hamilton is the first ever Formula One driver of Afro-Caribbean descent, and we urge police to familiarise themselves with the likeness lest they mistakenly pull him over on suspicion of committing the crime of Driving While Black…

And who said f1 was boring????
I think that’s all Gawamaka had to say…
October 8th, 2007 at 10:41 am
..by the way Gawamaka went very quiet didn’t he ???!!!
October 8th, 2007 at 7:39 am
Well let’s hope it is dry and sunny but effectively what we have now is a three-man race which hasn’t happened for decades so will be well worth the watch !!
October 8th, 2007 at 3:45 am
hmmmm no bets here till i know the weather down there.
October 7th, 2007 at 5:30 pm
….mine too, care to place any bets ??!!
October 7th, 2007 at 9:18 am
Oh yeah I remember the M. Schumacher show..LOL…I wonder what plans these drivers all have for Bazil…That is whats gonna be on my mind for the next 2 weeks…
October 7th, 2007 at 8:38 am
Nothing as certain as uncertainty Jason !! Actually this is far better than the “processional” racing that we had to endure when M. Schumacher reigned supreme
October 7th, 2007 at 8:12 am
Now this is exciting!!!!! A three man battle for Number 1!!!!!!

Oh well….tragic end to Hamilton’s hopes due to team not bringing him in for tyre change early enough !! back to the drawing board and now there’ll be no living with Alonso, what a prima donna that man is, trashed his dressing room because Hamilton was 1/2 a second faster than him in practice yesterday ….!! bet he’s grinning from ear to ear right now.

Thank you for your kind words !! Patience has been hard won over the years let me assure you !! I am no “Earth Mother” but my kids - well most of them - are great “mates” and the Grandson who lives with me is just like another “son” I suppose although I’d just got to the “Yippee !”! I’m free!!” part of my life when it became very apparent that there was no alternative but to take him on and he has now been with us for 13 years. He and his mates refer to me as “The Gransta” and I apparently have loads of “street cred” !!
NZ is unbelievable, there are only 4,000,000 people living there at the mo. which is like half the population of London in a country the size of the UK . The part where my son is, is about halfway up the North Island and is thus sub-tropical but it isn’t just the climate and the phenomenal scenery and the geysers and the volcanoes , it’s the people who are so friendly and open. I am even doing a correspondence course in Maori partly because I love languages anyway, and partly because they are absolutely tickled pink if you make some attempt at understanding their culture that way. I am a Tauiwi Wahine just so’s you know !!
Fish is very good for the brain so you will be able to sit on your boat in the Keys and become an Enstein !!
My friend lives in Philadelphia by the way, and we started corresponding in ‘68. I went over once in ‘81 and we now e-mail regularly whereas before, it used to be “snail-mail” by lettter. She is huge fun and we have so much in common, she calls us “soul sisters” !! What neck of the woods are you in ?
October 6th, 2007 at 7:36 pm
Now i know why you were so patient with me..Bless you. You actually sound to young to retire..Well NZ sounds great. It looks so tranquil there.I live in a crazy go nuttz country.Very gung ho here.I think we’re still cowboys and indians here.hahaha… Im retiring and running straight to the Keys at the tip of Florida.Just gonna sit on a boat and fish.( Fish is supposed to be good for you) I also still gotta start working on a family for myself… I need someone to make me crazy..LOL..As far as me being bored. I always find something to do.So Im not worried about getting bored here. Well those kids and grand kids of yours better be taking care of you. You sound like a very great person.
October 6th, 2007 at 7:17 pm
Jason I am soooo proud of you !! See how far we have come together !! Gawamaka has the problem, not you, so rise not to the bait my friend.
Jason - I am going to frighten the Holy S*%~x out of you now, retire ???? Over here ladies are allegedly retirees at 60, gents at 65 although there is talk of raising said retiring age to 70 but there are so many of the “grey” brigade who are still working because a) they want to as they are fit and able and b) they need to because of the chronic skills shortage currently extant due to the fact that no kids these days seem to want to learn anything.
Best Beloved and I run a small business and I am still working at 65, I have five children eldest of which is 48 ( I think) I have a Grandson living with me who is currently in College where he is learning Manufacturing Engineering, I have nine other Grandkids, ten Step-Grandkids and would dearly, DEARLY love to pack it all in and go live in New Zealand where No 2 Son has been living for the past four years and we have been there twice. I could happily spend my days in that paradise but….even so, I think I would also need to be doing something as I get bored easily !!
October 6th, 2007 at 7:01 pm
Im over it already!
October 6th, 2007 at 7:00 pm
Like I always say… You can always look foward towards retirement!! When the kiddies are all grown up.. your savings are nice and huge.(Besides the pound is more than doubled that of our dollar and still stronger than the Euro) and the best part is you will have all the time in the world. Im planning to retire in 10 years at a nice young age.

To all in the forum:
i have been following your discussions with my siblings…we are all black…and i mean pitch black …the kind u can hardly make out on a screen…from the dark continent ….AFRICA (birthplace of the human race, haha, joke.) …we love your forum….will u like me (or us) to tell u wht we see? scared people…one message: get used to this i.e. seeing more smelly coons “invading” your wihte sports and soon other actitivities…a propos intelligence: look out for a nigger with a big dick winning the next nobel for physics….u all are jokers…and in serious need of real life….get with the programme —chin is simple funny, he is first retarded asian we ‘ve met…he is a shame to his ancestry (all of it, haha)… signed gawamaka (real nigger)
October 6th, 2007 at 6:50 pm
The thing was, they spent sooo much time doing it and various drivers and crew would wander by, grinning, and they were so intent on what they were doing you had to feel sorry for them really !! When they eventually launched, we all stood about trying to look nonchalant and disinterested, just waiting for the inevitable which was quite spectacular and something you just couldn’t make up !!
On the cost of the racing, once it got out of hand, there were so many individuals who just had to give it up due to the expense but Best Beloved had had a good run, he began age 16 and we eventually gave up after about 12 years of darn good fun, travelling to all the major venues in the UK, racing with some mad people, had some brilliant sponsors and finishing on a high and I don’t mean the 360 “flight” either !!
October 6th, 2007 at 6:42 pm
Ewww .that sounds like a moment in time that you can never forget. It all happens in a blink of an eye like a nightmare.Safety always cost a pretty penny. Its all goes into the development. To bad it does cost so much though.BUMMER! Now as far as the Americans connecting two engines.Im wondering what wacky tobbacky they were on. You would think they are aware of centrifugal force.
October 6th, 2007 at 6:34 pm
Numbers have all disappeared but Jason, one’s Best Beloved doing a 360 in a powerboat at 102 mph is actually not much fun, I lied !! Fortunately he survived to tell the tale but had to be reminded of who he was for a day or two due to bash on head !! ..but you see, the spectators only go for the blood and guts so he got quite a following. I was really glad when the safety cells came in and it all got a bit silly money-wise. It’s a shame but there are not many venues where it is done in the UK now.
Amusing story for you, the Americans came over when we were racing in London Docks and - not to be outdone - they welded two V6 engines together, put it in the water to see how it would go and the boat spun round the engines instead of the engines propelling the boat !! Larf !!!

ANORAK …Oh revered Master of the Site
I can confirm quite categorically that Jason and I, at least, are at peace and have been so for some time, and are currently enjoying each other’s “company” !!

I stopped a long time ago. We are at peace now. I hope. Ask Ann.

Amusing to watch..But I think a nightmare to the pilot.and clean up crew….Flying boats ..hmmmmm

Well I think it is more the adrenalin junkie thing, yes - the boat only has the back end of the sponsons on the water at any one time and if they ever take off as you may have seen on TV, it is akin to flying but the landings are not so good !! The engines would be an engineer’s nightmare as they do tend to self-destruct quite spectacularly, pistons through the side/top etc and we even had one sheer it’s bolts, fly up in the air like a gyrocopter and lose itself in the lake, then the petrol lines caught fire !! Great fun….!!

Yup earning a living always throws a wrench in things. I just started watching NASCAR cause these three knuckle heads from F1 started driving . Villnueve, Johnny Moe(Juan Pablo Montoya) and good ole boy Scott Speed.I tried watching power boat racing.I dont really understand it cause Im an engineer and I can’t figure out what they are doing but aquaplaining on water. In other words I know nothing about boating..So until I get in a boat I might just understand it as your other half does for you.

Not NASCAR as a matter of course, see it sometimes but our “thing” is Powerboat racing, circuit not offshore, as my Other Half used to race and was sixth in the UK at one point but it all got a bit silly and expensive and other things took precedence, like earning a living !!
October 6th, 2007 at 9:03 am
With those cockpits that protect them.I highley dont think anyone will get seriously hurt…Can’t wait till next year … No more traction control.and possibly no more electronic shifting. That means possibly much more passing. You watch NASCAR???
October 6th, 2007 at 9:01 am
41 Jason Cjin
True…it does make things a bit more exciting just as long as no-one actually gets hurt, should be interesting though and will be watching avidly
October 6th, 2007 at 8:57 am
No it’s not OK!!! Hahahaha Just Kiddin. Im guessing everyone is running heavier and different wing configurations especially Alonso. The man is in fourth? go figure…Everyones time was in the 1:36 except Ham.barely cleared 1:35.Hope it rains again tomorrow..i like rain racing. makes it more exciting!!

Didn’t watch but see he’s on pole position…..that OK with you Jason ? ( smiles sweetly and innocently ..!! )
October 6th, 2007 at 12:36 am
