Challenging National Institute of Clinical Excellence Over Alzheimer’s

Reports coming from mutual friends say his subsquent decline may very well mean he was given the latter.

That why I am delighted there is this week a High Court challenge to the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) advice to the Government not to continue funding anti-dementia drugs. The case for a judicial review was mounted by drug companies supported by the Alzheimer’s Society.

These drugs would cost the National Health Service £2.50 a day to supply each patient the use of acetyl cholinesterase inhibitors. Bear with me, I know that is a put off, but this is important because they may one day save us from a living hell.
