Madeleine McCann, Toscano, Malta And Going Equipped
THE Express likes Antonio Toscano, the man who claims to know who kidnapped Madeleine McCann.
The paper hears Toscano say once again that he knows of “the Frenchman” who stole Madeleine. She was abducted to order by a gang of “wealthy paedophiles”.
But Madeleine has been seen in Malta, or at least a blonde girl has; the Express talks of three fresh sightings. Is it Madeleine? And if it is, do the criminals who seem to have taken her read the UK papers, or want to be caught?
But what should we do if we do see the missing child?
Gerry McCann tells us: “The clear advice is to call the local police as soon as possible, or someone working in an official capacity such as hotel staff or tour representative.”
He goes on: “Please note that the emergency police numbers are variable in each country and for those going on holiday it might be a good idea to enter the number in your mobile phone.”
Mr McCann, who the Express likes to remind its readers is a “cardiac consultant”, needs the world’s help.
We cannot help but feel for him. We want to read about his daughter being spotted and found alive and well. But people go on holiday to escape stress and grief. Only ghouls would go equipped with a Madeleine spotting kit.
Or someone after the massive reward.
Let Me Help
Which brings us back to Toscano. “I’m certain that Madeleine is still in Europe,” says he, “perhaps even still in Portugal, that’s she is alive and is being held by this man.” The Frenchman.
He goes on: “I intend to contact the McCanns and offer my help to the family and get this girl back”.
But Gerry McCann has already advised anyone with information to go to the police.
If Toscano was wanted wouldn’t the fraught and desperate McCanns seek him out? He’s not too hard to find.
What can be gained from him contacting them, aside from fame and the authority to help shift copies of any subsequent book…

Well said indeed!
I didn’t know that he was keeping that close an eye on Kate either, but she looks fit to burst, and completely lose control.
Would just love to see the Portuguese Police suspect list……

swiss I agree, I am not in the states nor the UK for that matter, the mccanns could have been hung and quartered by now if they were in other countries. the fact remains that they did what they did (I leave that thought open) and now they must pay the price,

Muppets… I suppose Jamie Bulgers mother had what was coming to her too when she left her little boy outside a shop all those years ago. Oh hang on a minute, no, she was working class so I shall assume she had a valid reason and wasn’t just lording it up eating Tapas on a swingers million-pound holiday.
You vultures are the type that immediately see the family of some murder/ kidnap victim on tv and are analysing their every facial movement for traces of guilt. You make me sick.

Liz… do you think states are a reference for us ??? Look for other aspect of that society over there… do you think we care that over there McCann would have been jailed??? We are not in the states and the McCanns are not the only people leaving their children sleeping alone in a room while there are in the area not far !!! Try to ask people who have done like them, you will see how many they are !!!!

It is all very well saying you would leave your kids in bed while you cut your garden grass 90 yards away. Thats your home after all. Here we have a stuation where they were having their fun-time 100 yards away, not in their own garden and their flat was in a holiday camp style area. The kids could have got sick within seconds of the half hour check.
The money side of this stinks with me too. Whats it all for? I bet they are still being paid by caring sharing NHS.
Ordinary working class people would have been given short shrift by now.

Chanaze , two people forget about their kids left alone for hours , one goes missing…take it up with the parents, and come to that take it out on the parents. Go and insult them, they left them, no one else did. As you say a 3 year old toddler and babies even younger - deserted!!
Didn’t they do well!
June 28th, 2007 at 12:52 pm
Anonymous - concentrate!
Child, toddler, 4 years old, possibly dead.

Stan, sticks and stones, I am none of those things and I am not going to hell,
Stan the short man syndrome, is that your only input, a variety of opinions is good for the soul, food for thought and all that.
Haruki, welocme to the big picture, now you need to sharpen your pencil abit.
Lynne, Lynne thanks for the memories

Mocking the McCann family isn;t going to anybody any good.It might make a couple of people feel good about themselves for a while, but soon after the joy of criticizing others wears off, they will revert back to their miserable dull lives.
Happy people radiate love and warmth. Miserable people chill us with their misery and unkind thoughts. All these angry and unkind thoughts about a poor couple? With not any evidence against them? You people, your hearts are made of stone.

June 28th, 2007 at 12:33 pm
Oh corky get a life, wake up and smell the roses. everyone can have their own opinion, variety is good for the soul, by reading all the different theories and accusations, I am surprised any one can actually say what happened to madeleine. I beleive she will be found and I think this latest evidence regarding the frenchman is going to be the break through.
Leave the likes of Liz and anon out of this, it is amusing to read

June 28th, 2007 at 12:24 pm
Liz, you’re off your head, and nasty with it.
June 28th, 2007 at 12:22 pm
Were they 100 yards away, or had she already gone? Why must we believe that they were going back to check on her - perhaps that was a blind to convince others, so that when the “abduction” took place, we were all convinced she had been there all along.
June 28th, 2007 at 12:17 pm
Anonymous, you’re full of shit and…self-loathing
June 28th, 2007 at 12:13 pm
Actually Liz, you maybe should go as now you’re having a pop at me for having a big garden and an untidy garden shed.
Me thinks Liz is just out to get under people’s skin.
Bye Liz
June 28th, 2007 at 12:09 pm
you coming with Anon, we can call at tesco on the way
June 28th, 2007 at 12:08 pm
I don’t know of one good reason any stable family would have to have their daughter kidnapped. As there is no evidence to suggest the McCann’s are unstable then I’m going with the abduction. There are far more evil and vile people in our world than couples looking to have their child kidnapped for whatever reason. If you read up about child abduction you will find that it is more often than not a family member who has been refused residency or custodial rights, a childless couple who have exhausted all avenues and resort to paying someone to ‘obtain’ a child for them or the vile sector of the polpulation. I truly, truly hope Madeleine is reunited with her family asap. They deserve our support as I would hope to have their support if anything happened to any member of my family (God forbid)
June 28th, 2007 at 12:07 pm
you are right there Lynne S, it will always be too small, anyway if you would rather tap dance on the keyboard then add to the comments at question I’m outta here. I need to go and clean out my garden shed and cut the grass on my 5 acre plot.
June 28th, 2007 at 12:04 pm

June 28th, 2007 at 12:02 pm
