Londoners “very blasé” Over Car Bomb

THERE are times when I am proud to be British: when Tony Blair exits Westminster and there are no crowds, only a man carrying a placard on which is written “Sod Off Tony”; when football crowds make up chants on the wing; and when we use mock German accents to describe anything officious.

And when there’s a massive car bomb at the end of the street :

Local resident Angela Coster, who lives in Haymarket, told the BBC she found out about the bomb from television news.

“We’re in a residential block in Haymarket it seems strange that there’s 18 flats in the block and not one person was woken up. It’s kind of off-putting in a way,” she said.
