The Truth About Pakistan’s Lal Masjid: A Muslim Writes
Ali Eteraz writes about the Red Fort:
An extremist imam riles up a bunch of women and youth by telling them that he has been receiving “sacred dreams” from the Prophet, extolling him to raise the banner of jihad, start a rebellion, and establish Shariah.
These dreams number upto 300. Hundreds of young men, and under the auspices of his wife, hundreds of young women, sign up to join his phantasmagoria. Here and there a few hardcore jihadis join his cult. They squat on public land and establish the first few square feet of the authentic Islamic state.
They need someone to hate, so they go abduct a mistress, burn cd stores, have ninja rallies for the veiled women to pump their fists and brandish their sticks, and torture Chinese acupuncturists because the Western media these extremists so hate has convinced them that all Chinese masseuses are really whores and prostitutes.
In a grab for authenticity they declare a kangaroo court system, stating that their judges, and their rules will determine questions of Islamic family law at first, and eventually, impose good old fashioned Islamic punishments. Why? Because Pakistan is an “Islamic” Republic, of course. They offer no counter-argument to the fact that Pakistan was founded as a nation for “Muslims” not as a nation for “Islam.”
There was no assurance or expectation that it would be run under Islamic Law. It took eight years for the word “God” to enter the constitution. The founders of Pakistan knew what these extremists refuse to accept: Muslims don’t need a Shariah system to be Muslim.
Eventually, the Pakistani government starts negotiating with the squatters, encouraging them to disband. The extremists reply they have no intention of breaking up and will take over the country on the back of their thousands of eager suicide bombers. Pakistanis, accustomed to hyperbolic assertions from their mullahs, don’t believe the hype. The rest of the world, especially the American right-wing, unaccustomed to Pakistani “Lambi Batayn” (big talk), starts masturbating the invasion phallus, while simultaneously warning against democratic reform in Pakistan lest the Lal Masjid extremists take over. Ali Eteraz tells them that “the fear with democracy is not…that the Islamists will take over.”
Eventually thousands of the purported suicide bombers surrender to the Pakistani military. Not a single one tries self-ignition. During surrender, one of them standing in line to get finger-printed, is seen calling his mother on his cell phone. The leader of cult tries to get away in a burqa, but is identified because “the other girls looked like girls, while he was tall and had a pot belly.” A mullah, not girly enough.
That’s really it. Musharraf’s popularity suddenly soars. Pakistanis running searches for “mujra,” “Pakistani girls kissing,” “hot Pakistani sex,” and “sex in Pakistan” keep hitting on AE’s blog. The guy who usually looks up “turbaned sex” has yet to show up. AE suspects that was Maulana Abdul Aziz, the leader of the Lal Masjid, who so enjoys wearing drag.
This is what happens when the Pakistani cricket team doesn’t have any matches for three months.

See Indian film called “Water” about the plight of 50 million widows called “White widows”. After the husband dies, they are kept in rooms in villages and then sold as prostitutes. The relatives cannot see or even touch them.

I find it amazing that no one addresses basics:-
1. No land was grabbed, truth is masjids are just built by donated money, they
often are not on any legally purchased land but empty land. The Capital authority (CDA) now sees high prices for land so they started demolishing masjid to “grab” land for sale to wealthy friends. Gazi was protesting that.
2. Prostitution is actually illegal so are brothels, many time authorities were called and after some officers calls the culprits be released.
3. CDA has been after lal majid land since its now prime position for sale so needed to trap Gazi so they could call in government todo what they want .all of the land.
4. Fact is there is no law and order in Pakistan all the leaders break every possible law and most pakistanis are so blinded they think who ever is in power is their savior and great leader, remember Sadam, he was considered a great leader by Iraqis, we know some people who hanged him for case similar to lal masjid..
so Musharaf has written his death sentence and next US government will hang him for crimes against his own people, yes Sadam was a great friend at one time too!!

Ghazi Brothers of Jamia Hafsa are being ridiculed by number of people in Pakistan in the pretext of sad incident of Lal Masjid. However, much evidence exists to suggest quite the opposite is true. Over the spectrum of Islamic teachings, the standpoint of the two brothers is well endorsed by the Islamic scripture.
Both the brothers take present regime of Pakistan Government as hypocrite and ally of West, while the same is true so far the Islam is concerned.
5 : 51 O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.
9 : 73 O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell,- an evil refuge indeed
9 : 29 Fight those who do not profess the true faith (Islam).
They believe present Government’s regime is an era of oppression and to fight back oppression is a cause good enough to entangle.
8 : 39 And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere.
They demand complete implementation of Islamic shria law in Pakistan. How a Muslim can ridicule one who demands so?
3 : 85 If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).
If the adherents of Lal Masjid indulge in fighting, then indeed, fighting has been ordained in Islam. More or less 72 wars were fought during the life of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
2: 216 Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you.
During fight, if people are killed then it’s none of killer’s act but Almighty Allah’s, because Allah wanted that way and nothing happens with the will of Almighty Allah. (InAllah ha qulin shain qadire)
8 : 17 It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah: when thou threwest (a handful of dust), it was not thy act, but Allah’s: in order that He might test the Believers by a gracious trial from Himself
Being a Muslim, you are clearly at fault to accept your father and brother as your protectors should they prefer something else over faith. The same very way a government can not be taken as protector of Muslims if it prefers Moderation Enlightenment or else over faith.
9 : 23 O ye who believe! take not for protectors your fathers and your brothers if they love infidelity above Faith: if any of you do so, they do wrong.
In spite of repeated reminders to the area authorities by the local inhabitants against the Chinese brothel house, much had been left to be done by the government. There upon, clerics had to go back and forth to eradicate the evils of society such as destruction of video shops and seizer of brothel house. See below the famous Hadis Shrif of Profit Mohammad (PBUH) and this is what they did.
If you are seeing any false things then fight… (If Allah gives you the power)
If you don’t have powers try to protest it with your voice…
If you don’t have that much energy then at least try to have belief that the thing is false…
Now in order to set your mind at rest “ N ” number of view points ( International relations, Geo political situation, National interest, International politics, Economic fundamentals, Religious extremism, Terrorism, Enlightened vision of prosperity, Law and order, Writ of the Govt, Incompatible theories of 1400 years old , …………………………etc. etc.) can be twisted the way you feel like to counter-argue any or all of the above-stated points. The truth about Pakistan is, majority do not wish to comply by strict interpretation of Shria law so as to live life of their own style or at the worst contrary to Islamic belief. Please ask from very inside of your honest good self, if there exists a clash between living a life of convenience and living a life by strict compliance of Shria law. Be informed, same is the clash between Govt. of Pakistan and Jamia Hafsa. Solution suggests, by the consent of public opinion, either Pakistan be governed by an Islamic government or by a secular one. Can you really support a secular system? This consistency of opinion seems to be a far-fetched idea. The people of Pakistan have to adopt either side of line. The mixed approach or the middle way would take Pakistan nowhere, except to disasters such as Lal Masjid.

It is amazing that a small cult with a few dozen followers makes headlines in the Indian press with dire warnings and adomonitions of impending doom. “Pakistan in Peril” screams one such wishful-thinking headline in the Hindustan Times. Pakistanis are used to this nonsense. In 1947 the same type of bigots predicted that “they would come begging” in 3 months. In 1947 Pakistan had one dilapidated university and one textile mill. Today Pakistan is a Nuclear state, with large industrial estates, with a huge army, and a modern airforce. For all his faults, President Musharraf has presided over a robust growth rate with hundreds of universities churning out professionals. Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves are at a all time high, and investors are pouring in most sectors. Hardly a country in peril. Worry about the Naxalite insurrection, the 50 million white widows, the rampant penury, sati, the Chinese threat, the Bangladeshi invasion, the KashmirI insurrection…the list is long.

This is a simple case of a criminal squatter constructing a building illegally and then making tall claims to hide the tactic of taking over government land that does not belong to them.
However it is very pertinent that the building is right next to the Indian Embassy and that known “Baluch” terrorists are now holed up in the basement of the building. Indian support to Baluch terrorists including the Marris is well known and long standing.
Pakistan has now become immune to Indian “prophecies of doom”.
Analysts see major cavities in India. Today there is an overwhelming body of evidence that a similar fate faces “India.” India’s major problem is not a nuclear armed Pakistan, or 160 million belligerent Pakistanis or even 160 million Bangledeshis or the 160 million Indian Muslims. India’s problem is the 40 million Hindu White widows, and the Dalits and Naxalite insurrection that threatens to destroy the heart of midland. While the urban penury competes with rural poverty the plutocratic, dynastic democrats, the extremist rightists, and the megalomaniacs (Nero’s) dream of a global power, the heart of India is in pain and destitution.
Once again, India is on the losing side in the war in Afghanistan. The real Afghans sick of the extremist “talibaan” and the other stooges will take power in Kabul. Soon Mr. Karzai, the Mayor of Kabul will be seeking Indian asylum again, choosing a condominium next to the Delai Lama. Afghanistan will soon be liberated again , the other traitors and non-Pashtun puppets will hang from the trees in Kabul. As the Afghans win, the Indian Consulates (the den of deceit and inequity) will once again be shut down and the Indian Embassy will again be sent packing back to old Delhi.
If the plutocrats in India do not learn their lessons, there will be another Mahmud of Ghazni and another Ahmad Shah Abdali to teach her that lesson. Missile pun intended. This time New Delhi will lose more than the peacock throne and the Kohinoor.
Forget about Lal Masjid, soon the Crescent and Star will flutter on top of Lal Qila
