Madeleine McCann Not In Malta Or Morocco
FROM Paulo Reis in Portugal:
Portuguese CID spokesman, about Madeleine abduction: “The clue to this mistery is in Praia da Luz”
Portuguese authorities have dismissed as groundless all leads on sightings of Madeleine McCann in other countries rather than Portugal, namely in Morroco and Malta, said Polícia Judiciária (PJ), Portuguese CID, spokesman Olegário de Sousa (…) Further investigations are being carried out centered mainly on the area of Praia da Luz itself, said Mr. Olegário de Sousa. «The clue to this mistery is in Praia da Luz», according to other police source quoted by Diário de Notícias. Note: Kate and Gerry McCann are innocent.

Hi All
I read the post on the Brian Ladd site regarding Michael Shrimpton, and hope that it isn’t true. Once again some of the content seems a bit too far fetched. I can’t really understand why Madeleine should be so much more important than any other child. I just feel that there are sick ‘jokers’ out there that are amused by circulating such exaggerated stories, and in actual fact Madeleine was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. She was watched, she was targeted, and it was cleverly planned, but nothing more sinister than that.
I just hope that these private investigators get on with the search, stop making sweeping statements, such as ‘we are 100% certain she is alive’ and ‘ we are very very close to finding her’, and come up with the goods silently, and let’s all breathe a massive sigh of relief when she has been returned to Kate and Gerry. I think that would be the best Christmas present all of us on this forum could have, plus millions of people around the world.

Hi Annie1, I started to respond to your post and actually typed for 10 minutes before I thought, hey, forget it. You and I are on totally different wave lengths and I don’t really want to waste my precious time by trying to explain to you how I think or come to conclusions. It’s clear to me that you’ll never understand my point of view, as I don’t yours, so why ask and why should I bother to reply? All I would say is that people like you scare me.
So as I don’t come across as being ‘blindly biased’ and totally dismissive of a ‘new’ poster on this forum, I would like to get into some serious dialogue with you so, I would like to ask you to elaborate on your comment ‘there have been so many inconsistancies in the statements of all of the McCann clan - and that is just on TV and media reports through so called friends and family.’
Maybe you could list your points and I will respond to them.
November 22nd, 2007 at 12:03 am
Oh Annie - Please go to another forum that agrees with everything you say. We just want to get on with the search for Madeleine!!!
November 21st, 2007 at 10:06 pm
5029 Isla - How do you know what the PJ have done from day 1 - just because they have not revealed the findings yet of their investigations - how do you know?? There have been so many inconsistancies in the statements of all of the McCann clan - and that is just on TV and media reports through so called friends and family - I think that maybe Tanner did see someone carrying a child - but with GM standing close by talking to the Tennis guy - maybe GM knew about the guy carrying the kid but didnt want to admit that he had not checked properly on the kids and waffled about someone hiding behind a door
November 21st, 2007 at 9:49 pm
NO Kat - You didnt recognise the similarities - I said “all she did was leave a five year old in bed while she went next door on the same landing. Remember the McCanns saying all we did was go out to eat - could have been in our own garden - BULLSHIT?? not from me lady from the MCCamp for over 6 months
November 21st, 2007 at 9:45 pm
CHOSE !!!??? The programme would have aired with or without the McCs choosing to allow it - they probably agreed so that they could have a preview of it - forewarned is forearmed……
November 21st, 2007 at 8:56 pm
5040 - The reason the McCann’s chose to allow that footage to be shown on Panorama was not to show them in a better light but to end all the bullshit speculation that is being printed in the press and to shed a bit of truth on the matter…..wouldn’t you want the truth if you were in their position.
November 21st, 2007 at 7:17 pm
Mike re 5015. How am i obsessed with how the McCanns look? Isnt that the reason they decided to allow that footage to be shown? To show them in a better light? All i am saying is, it didnt. In my mind, it just confirmed what i have thought and have read about them, only now, i heard it from their own mouths. Their stupidity and selfishness, played a huge part in Madeleine someone having the opportunity to abduct Madeleine. That is a fact. They are Madeleine’s parents, that does not make them saints. That does not make them above making mistakes. It does not mean that every word uttered about them has to be one of support. On the other hand, i have no wish to see them vilified either. Just anti this rose tinted opinion of them.
Madeleine, is the victim in this. As i have said, her parents had the ability to make a choice, they have to live with the guilt and the pain that has caused. Madeleine has to live with the reality of the choice her parents made and the implications of that and has done so since May 3rd.

Well said! If that doesn’t get through to the cold, heartless minorities then nothing will.
What a lovely video, full of happy people going on their holidays and has ended in a nightmare, it’s just heartbreaking to watch now. Poor little Madeleine, please please let her be found now ! today!
This whole nightmare is so unbearable I just don’t know how Madeleine’s family cope.

Now is this about Madeleine or about the fact that Kate and Gerry are doctors and getting help from the government?
Also: ”ALL” SHE DID WAS LEAVE HER 5 YEAR OLD WHILE SHE HAD A CHAT WITH HER MATE.
Oh is that ‘ALL’ she did?………… She wasn’t a ‘Mate’ of yours was she? You’re the one that should be thinking of changing your priorities!

A video of Madeleine and family. It starts with the footage of the family and some friends on the bus. Does anyone know who the woman is at the end of it? Dianne Webster?
The family photograph of the McCanns just highlights how much they have both changed in the last few months and doesn’t Madeleine look so happy in most every photograph.

Another article from B. L’s website.
11.21.2007
Brian,
Here is the latest headline:
Madeleine McCann ‘given to child trafficker’
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/11/20/nmaddy120.xml
Basically, the link from today’s Telegraph says that Madeleine was driven to Silves and then handed over to other people.
______
So then, I googled “Mccann Silves” and found this site called USLEUTH. I think it is some kind of forum. Anyway, someone pasted an early article written on May 25th, 2007. It is about a woman named Lina, a cafe owner from a town near Silves. She says that a Moroccan man tried to abduct her blond daughter Carolina from the cafe on a busy Christmas Day in 2006. Lina described the stranger who walked off with Carolina as 5ft 7ins and aged between 30 and 40.
Here is the full story below. It is a link to USLEUTH which is discussing Madeleine’s disapearance early on. I copied and pasted it below for you…but your readers can access the link and scroll down to the actual message with the article about little Carolina. It is from the moderator PFT and is dated 05-25-2007, 10:41 AM :

May 25, 2007
A HORRIFIED mum told yesterday how a stranger tried to abduct her blonde, blue-eyed girl just a short drive from where Madeleine McCann was snatched.
Portuguese Lina Santos said: “When I saw Maddie’s photo I shivered. She is so similar to my daughter Carolina. They are like doubles.”
Lina and husband Abel believe the man who tried to lead Carolina away was from a MOROCCAN community living near the cafe they run.
Just a week ago another woman said she was “99.9 per cent certain” she saw Maddie, four, with a man at a petrol station — in MOROCCO.
The revelation came as police revealed they were following up “new leads” after asking for snaps and videos taken by holidaymakers at the Algarve complex during the McCanns’ two-week holiday.
They are also investigating reports a man was photographing blonde girls on the nearby beach.
Lina, 28, and Abel, 40, recalled how they ran screaming when they spotted three-year-old Carolina walking off with a stranger 300 yards from their Café O Falcao.
Afterwards the crying tot said the man, wearing a hat, asked her to follow him as he had “another little girl for her to play with”.
Lina said: “When I heard of Madeleine’s disappearance my heart leapt. It was only six months ago that a man tried to steal Carolina. Then I saw Maddie’s photo.
“She is almost identical to my daughter — who is unusual for a Portuguese girl because she is blonde-haired and blue-eyed.”
Lina said the nightmare unfolded on Christmas Day near the Algarve town of Silves, just 30 miles from Praia da Luz where Maddie’s parents Gerry and Kate were staying.
She said: “We were working at the cafe. We lost sight of Carolina. Something scared me and I ran outside and saw Carolina walking away with a Moroccan man.
“Abel and I ran after him screaming to let our little girl alone. She turned and ran to us as he walked off. Carolina burst into tears.”
Lina reported the attempted abduction to local police immediately. Two days ago the couple rang cops searching for Maddie after a different Moroccan man — who they believe to be from the same immigrant community — made a threat to steal her.
Lina said: “I was thinking of ringing anyway because Carolina looks so much like Maddie.
“But then another Moroccan man stormed into our cafe drunk and threatened to steal her again.
“I now have nightmares that someone will take Carolina just like Maddie because she is blonde and pretty.”
Maddie detectives yesterday confirmed they were investigating Carolina’s attempted abduction, but said they “were not linking the two incidents at this stage”. Lina described the stranger who walked off with Carolina as 5ft 7ins and aged between 30 and 40.

From Brian Ladd’s website.
Hi, Brian
Well, yet another “line of inquiry”.
1) I have to say that what I am reading in the article below makes sense to me, but it is hard to believe that Malinka’s boat (if true) has not been discussed.
It was written by MICHAEL SHRIMPTON, ADVISORY BOARD, GERARD GROUP
I checked it out - Gerard Group Intl. LLC is a security and anti-terrorism group based in the U.S.

If this has already been posted on your site -I must have missed it. I saw a reference to the boat “Naomi Corlett” and looked it up. The pages that are supposed to refer to it have been closed, and this whole report is fascinating. I have not read a lot of the details mentioned in it anywhere else. If it is legit -why has not the private investigators or even this company made up of professionals taken action? If boats are involved - satellite and radar info should be available, right?
This is driving me (and a few more million people) crazy.
I am posting the report at the bottom of the post.
2) Also found another post on the same site, and it has a lot of similarities to your DDs, but with a different twist: “she is right under your/their (?) feet”, being close to water, the small white light, dark room, bars on window - could Madeleine have been kept on a boat? Does this ring true to you?

Premonitions
Published: Monday July 23,2007 by Amber
Ever since this story broke in the media about Madeleine being abducted, I have had premonitions of her being put into the bilges of a boat and taken out to sea. I have seen her slumped against a vertical post near shallow water but under decking.
I am a professional remote viewer of some 32 years, and I told my boss about this.
My boss, in reaction to this article has emailed the reporter who wrote this story about this but also with vital information that may well now help find Madeleine.
He has sent this email in response:
Dear Sirs,
I refer to your article in today’s issue of the Express by David Pilditch regarding the current suggestion that Madeleine was taken onboard a boat in Lagos or off Praia da Luz. My company provides support services for self-employed psychics/remote viewers. From the time Madeleine was abducted, one of my team has had the consistent intuition that she is or was onboard a boat (”under decking, in or near shallow water (for example in the bilge of a boat) with vertical posts or stanchions”). I don’t know if your correspondent is aware that Sergey Malinka, an associate of Robert Murat, is connected to a business which provides exploration and diving holidays and has a substantial boat, the ‘Naomi Corlett’ normally based in Sao Tome but with a connection in Lagos (the boat was refitted in Lagos, and the business has an address there). We haven’t been able to ascertain whether the boat was in Lagos at around the time Madeleine was abducted, but your correspondent might well be able to check that. Given the connections, this must be worth at least some investigation, but of course it is possible that the police have already done that.
See http://www.corlettmaritima.com (NOTICE THAT THIS PAGE HAS BEEN CLOSED)
We can only hope that someone has the sense to search this location and the boat “Naomi Corlett” and soon. I am convinced that they will find Madeleine if they do so.
So far my premonitions have been spot on it seems.
Thanks David Pilditch for writing this article, it confirms what I have felt all along.” (end of post)
Best regards, Natasha

Note:
I think we should just pass over this neglect issue and BRING MADDIE BACK HOME!!!!! -
November 21st, 2007 at 3:52 pm
Hi Mike
Thanks for the India Knight article. It really just summed up the situation and made you wonder, again, what has gone wrong with so many so-called members of the human race.
Hi Sally
When you read articles that mention that ‘the girl looked scared or was being dragged across the street’ it just makes your blood run cold no matter who the child is. It’s terrible. Worse still when I visualise poor Madeleine’s face. I think that’s why I read Matthew James blog. It helps me to visualise something quite different and helps me to hold onto my sanity.
I’m glad to see that Anthony Bennet got a boot up the backside, but I’m just waiting on someone in Portugal attempting to do the same. The only consolation there is that the PA will probably ‘gag’ them.
Hi Kirstie
Can you imagine the impact of the PA charging the Tapas group with neglect? There would be a massive slump in relation to tourism, because what the T9 did, and got caught out with in the most hellish way, is rife in ‘child-friendly’ resorts such as the Algarve and the PA and the PJ are well aware of the fact.
Hi Annie1
You mentioned that you were ‘a bit disgusted to read that apparently the information phone line set up was a premium charge line - does anyone know if this is correct ? If it is then I can only assume that it is yet another money making scam.’
Why make assumptions such as these without checking the facts of the matter yourself? It’s this type of attitude that makes people think that ‘anti-McCanns’ are nothing more than gossipmongers.
You state that ‘one young woman was given a stretch of community service and instructed to go to parenting classes - this was reported just last week and all she did was to leave her 5 year old in be while whe went to the flat NEXT DOOR on the same landing for a chat with a mate.” Maybe you could post the source for that article. I think that you’ll find that there was more to that story than meets the eye especially when the ‘instructed to go to parenting classes’ has been mentioned. Also I can’t understand why you are trying to justify what she did ‘all she did’ but seem intent on ‘hounding’ the McCanns. Someone could have broken into HER house and taken HER child or a fire could have started. You should really think about that and try and analyse why you feel the way you do about the McCanns.
You seem to be totally obesssesd by the neglect issue and are accusing individuals of ’supporting their neglect.’ Again you seem to be totally out of sinc here. No-one on this forum, as far as I know, condones the neglect of children in any shape or form. And I hate to have to point this out to you, but there is a BIGGER issue here that is needing to be dealt with and that is that a child is missing, her parents are desperately trying to find her and they need help and support in their attempts to do so. If they ultimately become so stressed out by the ‘witchhunt’, comprised of so many people like yourself, or worst still drop dead with a heart attack are you going to take over and go and look for Madeleine? I doubt it very much as, you don’t even seem to be doing anything very constructive to find her right now. Your focus is firmly on the McCanns and you seem to have lost all interest in finding Madeleine, thats if you ever did at all. To be honest with you I’m totally fed up reading and responding to the constant ‘neglect harpers’ and being hit with vile bile and absolute duff guff. I have no gripe with anyone considering the McCanns to be guilty and would enjoy an intelligent debate in relation to the facts as we know them, but the neglect issue ran it’s course a long, long time ago and there is very little that anyone can add to it now.
November 21st, 2007 at 3:38 pm
Well said Kat totally agree with you in your reply to post 5025 from annie!
In reply to you Annie It would appear from your posts that the only reason you would like to see them prosecuted is the fact that they are doctors and are able to use all contacts they have to help them find Madeleine. I have even read posts where people criticised them for the way they look , and act in front of the cameras, how exactly are you supposed to behave when something like this happens - I have never read a rule book which tells you how you should act if your child is abducted!!!
We would never agree with this witch-hunt because most on this forum show “compassion” for them, a word you are unlikely to have heard of.
Many have posted to say that they did this and they did that, and where do we stand now, the DNA was crap, the Portuguese police have been discredited in the way they conducted the investigation, nothing but bully boys in uniforms.
It was said that the parents travelled to Spain with Maddies body in the boot of the car in order to hide or buried her body, then we find out that a reporter and cameraman travelled with them. Don’t believe everything you read in the papers.
It’s time you anti-McCann’s opened your eyes and started thinking of Madeleine instead of bad mouthing the parents as that is not going to help Madeleine.
November 21st, 2007 at 2:46 pm
Well said Swissmiss, and Kat Lol!!!! I do not think it will be a matter of time before they are prosecuted atall. The Police in Portugal have enough of a job trying to find their daughter without anything else and as for the british Police well it’s been said- it happened in Portugal- outwith the English Law and it’s jurisdiction. End of.
November 21st, 2007 at 2:44 pm
Hi all
The PJ have done b***** all since day one and seemingly will call a halt to their ‘Rebelo’ investigations soon. They (PA) dont want to look for Madeleine, never have, and want to prevent others from doing so too. In their opinion, M3 are “ineffectual and without credibility” and may ‘jeopardise their (PJ) investigations’. That’s a laugh.
I have considered the PJ to be a Laurel and Hardy outfit from day one, but I am now seriously beginning to think that something more sinister is going on. They put Rebelo on the case recently and I had high hopes that this man would get to the bottom of it all. However you find out that PA wont allow the Tapas group to be re-interviewed, which you would imagine would be an essential element of the new ‘Rebelo’ investigation.
Can you imagine if two non-English speaking foreigners came to the UK on holiday and their daughter went missing, not re-examining their statements that were translated by the only other B***** suspect in the case? What is it about R. Murat and his friends? Why wont the PJ allow them to be questioned if they have nothing to hide? Am I being paranoid when I say that I am beginning to wonder if this is another Casa Pia scenario?
The whole case from beginning to end has been a b***** farce and in fact hilarious. Unfortunately, there are a number of people who are not laughing at all, most of all a wee girl called Madeleine McCann.
If this case is now being closed, and others are being prevented from carrying on with a search, I am going to write the nastiest letter of my life and send it to a number of people here in the UK and in Portugal. I am rrrrrrrrrrrrraging!
Police warn McCann detectives not to interfere
By Fiona Govan in Praia da Luz
Last Updated: 1:30pm GMT 21/11/2007
Portuguese police investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann have warned the private detectives hired by her parents not to interfere in the case.
Metodo 3, the Spanish agency employed by Kate and Gerry McCann in September to find their daughter, have claimed that they are following up new leads and are “very close” to cracking the case.
But Portuguese authorities, who after more than six months have failed to solve the mystery, believe the private agency is only going over old ground and could jeopardise the investigation.
“We know the Spanish detectives are here and what they are doing,” said a source close to the police investigation, who branded the agency “ineffectual and without credibility”.
The Spanish agency has between 30-40 detectives investigating Madeleine’s disappearance in the Algarve and claim to have uncovered new information that they believe will lead them to Madeleine.
They said they are focusing on an alleged sighting of the girl being handed over by a blonde woman to a man in the town of Silves after receiving a call from a Portuguese trucker to their telephone hotline.
The witness allegedly identified the German girlfriend of Robert Murat, 34, the British expatriate who was made an arguido – or formal suspect – on May 14.
Michaela Walczuch, 34, has dismissed claims she was seen with the girl as “ridiculous”.
Portuguese police said yesterday that they had followed up this lead in the early stages of the investigation and that it had been discounted.
“The Spanish detectives are only investigating leads that have already been talked about,” said a source and warned the agency that they risked breaking Portuguese laws.
“If they speak to any witness who has been named in this case or gain access to any evidence relating to the case they are committing a crime and could be obstructing justice,” a source from the prosecuting council told Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha.
The warning came amid reports that Portuguese police are set to shelve the investigation.
Senior detectives led by Paulo Rebelo, Portugal’s second most senior policeman, are preparing to pack their bags and leave the Algarve to return to Lisbon, it was claimed.
Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas today said that Alipio Ribeiro, the national director of the Policia Judiciaria (PJ), was considering dismantling the team sent from the capital to investigate the case.
The revelation comes just seven weeks after Mr Rebelo took over from former chief investigator Goncalo Amaral and launched a massive review of evidence.
Portuguese police are still waiting for full DNA results from tests on the McCanns’ hire car and holiday flat to come back from a laboratory in Birmingham- but do not expect them to provide a breakthrough or alter their belief Madeleine is dead.
A police source told Portuguese daily 24 Horas: “We are practically back at square one.
“The parents are still the prime suspects in hiding their daughter’s body, not of her death which was probably accidental, but there is no firm proof,” he said.
Another source said: “No proof has been collected up until now that incriminates anybody. The laboratory results received up until now do not allow us to reach any conclusions.”
The paper added: “Detectives are getting ready to pack their bags. Given the current state of the investigation, police chiefs are considering dismantling the team sent specifically to investigate the case and are even planning on moving Paulo Rebelo, the head of the investigation, onto tasks of greater responsibility.”
Portuguese police have also abandoned plans to participate in fresh interviews of the McCanns – who deny any involvement in Madeleine’s death or disappearance - and the rest of the so-called Tapas Nine who ate together the night Madeleine disappeared, 24 Horas claimed.
They will simply send a legal letter to authorities in Leicestershire with 100 questions they want answering.
Mr Ribeiro recently admitted that there may never be arrests over Madeleine McCann’s disappearance.
He said in an interview last week: “I still don’t know if there are going to be any arrests.
“A criminal investigation cannot produce miracles. We still do not have the solution.”
A friend of the McCanns said that winding down the hunt for Madeleine would be the worst-case scenario for the family.
He said: “The worst thing that could happen is for the case to close and Gerry and Kate to remain official suspects.”

Hi all:
What I believe is:
the Mcs did make a horrible decision in leaving the children by themselves in that strange looking apart. For one, if they have money as people claim they do, why did they stay in that particuliar ugly looking apart. in the first place???? - But that’s done and been said… now they are paying for that. I believe that they have gone thru enough of an ordeal that they have been prosecuted enough already for not having Maddie for so long that is punishment enough for them.
November 21st, 2007 at 2:05 pm
Annie1 - you don’t even deserve a reply because what comes out of your mouth is pure shite my love.
I have got my priorities straight and for your information you’ll find the fact is LOTS of parents are NOT prosecuted for child neglect unless it’s in the obvious form that only people like you can identify.
Before you go spouting off your rubbish I suggest you read and then re-read all my posts and you will find that I do not support and have never supported the McCann’s neglect.
Annie says ! and I quote “One you woman was given a stretch of community service and instructed to go to parenting classes - this was reported just last week and all she did was to leave her 5 year old in be while whe went to the flat NEXT DOOR on the same landing for a chat with a mate - Get your priorities straight before you support them ”
What do you mean ALL she did was to leave her 5yr old in bed whilst she went to the flat next door for a chat…..if you condone that then you’re even sadder than I thought you were and I only hope you haven’t got kids !!!!!
Now hush, and go and fly to a different coup.
Whereas before I’d listen to what you had to say and welcome your input, your previous post just shows you for what you are………
November 21st, 2007 at 12:20 pm
Kirsty - It is not IF it is WHEN they are prosecuted for neglect - the prosecutors need to leave the door open without obstruction in case they are prosecuted for a more serious crime - Just imagine - “Sorry PJ cant go to court in Portugal - got an appointment with a court in Leicester on the same day!!
November 21st, 2007 at 12:17 pm
Kat - you say
Crikey I could accuse so many parents of neglecting their children because I don’t approve of the way they parent.
Hey wake up and smell the coffee!! Lots of folk ARE prosecuted for child neglect every day - But so - they dont happen to be influential docs. with a string of ropey government officials trailing in their wake - do they? One you woman was given a stretch of community service and instructed to go to parenting classes - this was reported just last week and all she did was to leave her 5 year old in be while whe went to the flat NEXT DOOR on the same landing for a chat with a mate - Get your priorities straight before you support them - or maybe you have good reason to support their neglect - maybe you are thinking “there but for the grace of God go I???
November 21st, 2007 at 11:18 am
Morning All,
Kat i quite agree, if the PP were going to charge the Mc’s with neglect they would’ve done it by now. I have just read a headline that states PP are under mounting pressure to charge them with child neglect. Well i hope they charge the lot of them and not just Kate and Gerry because they all did the same. Again it is more about a witch-hunt as no-one mentions the other friends who did exactly the same night after night. I think it was quite extraordinary watching the Panorama programme listening to Jane Tanner say that at the time she thought the person carrying the child was a bad parent for not putting socks on the little one- says she who has left her child alone all week at night, and wasn’t her child being sick too???? But that said i do think that K&G have suffered enough. Yes, i can hear you screaming at your screens Annie1 and Lauren!!! No matter what they are suffering and are in pain- but yes ultimatley the one who is suffering the worst is Madeleine herself. The thing that strikes me is that God willing Madeleine is found safe and well and returned home to her parents there will STILL be people trying to petition having Maddie and the twins taken into care….their nightmare will never be over whether Maddie comes home or not and ijust think that enough is enough. The ONLY goal we should all have is trying to think of ways to help bring that little princess home and not how to bring down her parents any further. They will have to live with this forever- their judgment will be questioned by themselves and rightly so for the rest of their lives- that for me is good enough. I have no desire to join the wolves baying at the moon trying to drag them through courts and social services. whatever happened to compassion??? empathy for fellow parents??? Unless they are convicted of anything to do with the disappearence of their daughter and we hear about confessions or irrefutable evidence from official sources i will continue to support them both and most of all Madeleine.
November 21st, 2007 at 9:12 am
5021 - Hi Sally,
Well no surprise that Tony Bennet’s case has been thrown out of court. I think the neglect issue has taken over the importance of finding Madeleine.
Crikey I could accuse so many parents of neglecting their children because I don’t approve of the way they parent.

“It seems that the McCanns are more concerned with the detectives getting them off the hook than actually finding links to Madeleines whereabouts.” Annie can you please elaborate a bit more on why you think this might be the case because I haven’t seen any reason to believe this……
“I was a bit disgusted to read that apparently the information phone line set up was a premium charge line - does anyone know if this is correct ? If it is then I can only assume that it is yet another money making scam” Annie I haven’t heard this, can you clarify where you read this claim……once again I think you shouldn’t believe everything you read. I for one have been fed up of all the false information that’s being leaked out and clouding people’s judgements by PJ’s, M3 and Tom, Dick and Harry.
I’d rather hear nothing than be fed a pack of lies from the media/internet.

A woman who reported seeing Madeleine McCann in Morocco now says she saw Robert Murat’s girlfriend in the same place at the same time.
Isabel Gonzalez said she was “sure” a blonde woman she encountered on June 15 was 34-year-old Michaela Walczuch.
She said the woman and a man with her looked European and seemed completely out of place in the remote town of Zaio.

McCann friends ‘face new police quiz’
Mrs Gonzalez, 60, spoke out after learning that a Portuguese lorry driver has insisted he saw Miss Walczuch with a girl who looked like Madeleine on May 5, two days after she disappeared from her family’s holiday apartment.
The Spanish mother of six said last night: “I have always been sure the girl I saw in Morocco was Madeleine, and now I am equally sure the blonde woman I saw that day was Murat’s girlfriend.”
Police and private detectives working for Kate and Gerry McCann are investigating both sightings and possible links between them.
They are working on the theory that Madeleine was stolen to order by a paedophile gang after a “spotter” identified her as an easy target.
But the gang had not realised the little girl had a distinctive eye defect which made her instantly recognisable.
They panicked when her description was circulated throughout the Algarve and called in another gang to take her out of the region.

Spotted: Isabel Gonzalez claims she saw Michaela Walczuch in this street in Morocco
The lorry driver, who has not been named, may have witnessed the handover in the Portuguese town of Silves, 100 miles from the resort of Praia da Luz where the McCanns were on holiday.
German-born Miss Walczuch was interviewed by police after British expat Mr Murat was named as the first official suspect in the case. They have been in a relationship for almost two years.
She vehemently denies any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance and described the two sightings as “ridiculous” last night.
She refused, however, to say where she was on the days in question.
Mrs Gonzalez reported her sighting of Madeleine to police as soon as she returned to her home in Melilla, a Spanish enclave in northern Morocco.
But she claims Portuguese officers later told her: “It can’t be Madeleine, we think she’s dead.”
Still missing: Madeleine McCann
She described how she saw a little blonde girl being dragged across a street and thought immediately: “That’s Madeleine.”
The child was with an older woman in a Muslim headscarf, who was walking fast and trying to hide her face from passing cars.
Mrs Gonzalez said the girl’s floppy hat was blown back by a gust of wind to reveal her face, She looked “very sad and scared”.
Mrs Gonzalez shouted to her husband to stop their car and they went back to search for the woman and the child, but they had disappeared.
It was then that they saw the “European-looking” couple.
Mrs Gonzalez said last night: “After seeing the news reports of the Silves sighting, I am convinced the woman was Murat’s girlfriend.
“I never saw the blonde woman with Madeleine, but I have always connected the two events.
“They seemed completely out of place, as the town is very remote and everyone else was Moroccan.
“The area around the town is like a wilderness, with hundreds of houses dotted around where a small girl could be hidden away.”
A source at the Barcelona-based Metodo 3 detective agency said: “We are looking into the claims that Miss Walczuch was seen in Morocco.
“It may be that she can prove she was in Portugal, but we have to examine every lead.”
The source said the Portuguese lorry driver claimed to have seen Miss Walczuch in a “very distinctive” hire car on a side road just outside Silves.
She was with a child wrapped in a blanket, which he thought was strange on a hot day.
The source said: “Police believe they can find the vehicle, because it’s an unusual make and colour within Portugal.
“If it was a rented car, records can prove where it was that day and who hired it.”
Detectives believe Madeleine was taken to Morocco by boat immediately after the May 5 handover, either direct from Portugal or via Spain on a ferry to Tangier.
Silves is on the route to the Spanish border from Praia da Luz, but only ten miles from the port of Portimao - where scores of boats leave every day.

Gerry and Kate McCann: Take every sighting seriously
Clarence Mitchell, the McCann family’s spokesman, said last night the couple are keeping an open mind. He added: “This is only one line of investigation. The truth is we do not know where Madeleine is.”
Metodo 3 has received more than 1,300 calls in the two months since it launched a confidential hotline in Spain. Sightings have been reported from as far away as Mexico and Australia.
LAWYER’S NEGLECT CASE IS THROWN OUT
A solicitor’s bid to bring a private prosecution against Kate and Gerry McCann was thrown out by a court yesterday.
Anthony Bennett, 60, accused them of neglecting Madeleine and their two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie by leaving them alone in their holiday apartment on the evening of May 3.
But a district judge court ruled that a British court could not have jurisdiction over something that happened in Portugal.
After the brief hearing at Loughborough magistrates court, father of two Mr Bennett said: “If this concentrates people’s minds on whether it is ever acceptable to leave children alone I will have achieved what I set out to.”
Mr Bennett, from Chippingfield, Hertfordshire, had previously failed in a bid to bring a private prosecution against Michael Barrymore over alleged drugs offences.

jean - even if the private investigators do come up with something that they consider to positive as good as far as the Mcs are concerned - because they have been hired by the Mcs I doubt very much if the PJ will take any of their findings into account, which is fairly obvious. I think that the only thing that will make the slightest bit of difference to the investigation as far as these hugely expensive private detectives are concerned is if they actually find Madeleine. It seems that the McCanns are more concerned with the detectives getting them off the hook than actually finding links to Madeleines whereabouts. I was a bit disgusted to read that apparently the information phone line set up was a premium charge line - does anyone know if this is correct ? If it is then I can only assume that it is yet another money making scam

Thanks Mike for printing the article by India Knight. She is definitely a McCann supporter. I have read an article she wrote previously, which was also on the side of the McCanns. They need every bit of support possible with the vicious attacks they have been subjected to on other forums. If the likes of Annie1 would just go back to page 1 of this forum and read everything we have all written previously she would see that we are all desperate for this little girl to be returned to her parents. We have so much concern for her that I think if we were all millionnaires, such as Brian Kennedy and Richard Branson, we would be on the next plane to the Algarve and be searching for her ourselves. In fact, if I thought it would do some good, I would go tomorrow. Instead all we can do is share ideas and keep each other informed of what we find in the media and elsewhere, and all keep hoping and praying that she will be found as soon as possible.
I really do hope that these private investigators will come up with something positive soon. Surely, because they have had such an excellent success rate on other missing person cases, and their reputation is on the line, they will pull out all the stops to find Madeleine.
