Hi Jean- Your concern for the McCann’s is laudable but i fear a little misplaced. They are, after all, prime suspects in the disappearance of their daughter, so it is right and proper that Gordon Brown should not be involved in the investigation.
Madeline is the most important person in all this and it is right that justice should be seen to be done for her. Any government meddling will only hamper the search for truth in this case and the Pj should not have to kowtow to any interferance like this. The McCanns need to answer tough questions in order to get to the truth of what has happened to Madeline. Madeline is the only real victim in this case as her parents neglected her and her little brother and sister when they decided to go out with their Friends.
Although i hope that the Mccanns are guilty of nothing more sinister than their stupid and selfish behaviour on the night that Madeline disappeared, i do not know for certain that they are not guilty of more and neither does anyone else. That is why the government cannot get involved as they may be shielding the guilty from proper justice and by doing so not working in madelines interest.

Oh .. ok.. sorry for the misunderstanding…… I know.. it is going to be very very hard I’m sure of that………… - can you imagine…….. a child her age… if she is found alive.. I’m sure she’ll always have the constant fear of her surroundings………. - and I’m sure the fear of people. It will be very hard for her to deal with people. I would also love to hear from someone who might work with such cases like that…..

SwissMiss, i know of those cases that you spoke of. I wasnt really referring to how the child interacts when with the paedophile who has taken them from their family. But more, how they are emotionally, long term. I know its a very individual thing. The case of the 2 boys in the US, i dont think either of them were as young as Madeleine. As for the boy who was held for 4 years, i read that he contacted his family twice, via the website they had set up for him, for some reason he didnt say that it was him. Maybe fear of what may happen to him or his family stopped him from saying where he was. But i wonder how he will be long term, 10 years from now, will he be able to have normal relationships with people?
Maybe someone who is knowledgeable regards cases like this will be able to shed some light on this.

He continued: “One of the things that makes us believe Madeleine is alive is
that every day she’s worth more to them. It’s obviously not a kidnap carried out by professionals for economic reasons.
“A professional kidnapper would have done something with Madeleine by now. He would have given her back or left her.”
Metodo 3 has been criticised by Portuguese police as “small fry” and “irrelevant”.
Relatives of Robert Murat, who remains an official suspect in the case, have accused the agency of trying to frame him by pressuring witnesses into changing their statements.
In the interview with the Spanish newspaper-Metro, Mr Marco added: “It’s the highest pressure case I’ve ever had to deal with, because of the press and because of my own family.
“When I get home at night, my children ask me, ‘Have you found Madeleine yet, daddy?’”
Dismissing the suggestion of any involvement by the McCanns, who were declared official suspects in their daughter’s disappearance after she vanished from the Ocean Club apartment complex, he said:
“You only have to spend five minutes with them to realise they’ve got nothing to do with this.
“To this day there’s no proof of any traces of blood in the flat. In the boot of Gerry and Kate’s hire car, so people say, there’s traces of a tiny hair that could be Madeleine’s.
“But that would be completely logical and normal being the family’s car.”
Repeating his earlier promise to find Madeleine before March, he said: “We have a six-month contract. We have always said we want to fulfill it by finding her.”
Clarence Mitchell, spokesman for the McCanns, said the family has “absolute confidence in Metodo 3″.

Last month Francisco Marco again told a BBC Panorama team that the agency was “100 per cent sure Maddie is alive.”
He added: “We’re sure she was abducted and we are very, very close to finding those responsible.”
The claim caused an embarrassed Clarence Mitchell, the McCann’s official spokesman, to brief the media that the private detective had simply got “carried away”.
The agency claims to have around 35 investigators working on the case and is being paid £50,000 a month by the Find Madeleine Fund.
Mr Marco also promised last month that he would find Madeleine, who disappeared on 3 May from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in the Algarve in Portugal, before Metodo 3’s six-month contract runs out next March.
Mr Marco said: “I have always said publicly Madeleine is alive. I have to believe it 100 per cent because I know how to look for living people, not dead ones. But I have no proof Madeleine is alive.
“We have proof of her movements after her kidnap and we know she was alive the day after her disappearance. We are not certain she left Portugal.
“I talk of certainties because we know which group may have her or could have kidnapped her to then sell her on to others.”

Having read some articles from so called psychic’s I have come to the conclusion that the world is full of idiots who think they possess some special gift ,however if you take all the reports and put them together, she is dead , but could be alive and living in every country you could possibly name. However this article I did find interesting because she is a well known psychic, and most repected psychics that are asked to help just say: ” The family or police have to ask me before I can help. ”
try throwing chicken bones across the table and see what happens,,,and as for trevor deely everything is not what it seems,he is dead killed possibly in a mugging as he disapeared in a well known red light district,he was seen talking to a man on cctv a little while before he went missing and the street he walked home on is flodded with girls at that time of the night,he was seen taking money out of an atm in the street,everyone on the street could see him and as he only lives around the corner from where he went missing there are no shops open where he lives at that time of the night and he did not need a taxi so why the cash from the atm,there has been no sign of him since,he probably went into a near by house and was killed there as i have friends who live in the area and thats what they think happened to him,his family think he is alive,i dont think so,
the police said she was dead and said she was alive as well,

the mayor of playa del luz says that its the safest place in the world to bring your kids,do not mind the international child abductor gangs and the others wandering trying to rob your flat or your kids,or the others who are on the run for kiddie crimes who live in playa del luz or the other attempts to abduct children before the mccanns got there,
i would not ask my worst enemy to bring his kids to playa del luz for reasons above,
ok the mccanns left their kids alone that night and so did the others,they have been told it was safe to do so by the mark warner staff so lets not get our coats stuck on a nail with this as it means nothing anymore,its 8 months since the child went missing and no sign of any evidence to say what happened to her and most of the evidence you read in the paper is either rumour or designed leaks to pressure the mccanns,on the front page of the mirror it said that madelines dna was found in his house,this is nonsense but once it becomes public news its is accepted as fact when none has been found,after 8 months we are still missing a large piece of the puzzle that only the mccanns can fill in,
i do not think that she will be home for xmas and i do not think that mondonto 3 will find her by then,they have been at this for the last four months and still nothing,
if murats girlfriend did hand her over to someone in central portougal then she may be the same distance away again,they should really check out what property that murats girlfriend friends from her johovas witness church own in that area as i do not think that in all the time she lived there that she knew no one in the place,she knew a lot of people and one of them may still have the child,

The private investigator hired by Kate and Gerry McCann to find their daughter said today he knows who took Madeleine and is close to reuniting her with her parents.
Francisco Marco said the missing four-year-old has been kidnapped by a paedophile ring and is being held in north Africa or the Iberian Peninsula.
In his boldest claim yet, the director general of Metodo 3 also said he hoped the McCanns will have their daughter back by Christmas.
He said: “We know who kidnapped her. We believe she is in an area not very far from the Iberian peninsula and north Africa. And we have a fairly certain idea of who she is with.
“I cannot say who she is with because we are putting together conclusive proof we can present to the authorities so they can proceed with their arrests.”
Insisting he believed Madeleine was still alive, Mr Marco added: “God willing, I hope she’ll be back with her parents before Christmas.”
The Barcelona-based Metodo 3 has been working for the McCanns since September and Mr Marco has already travelled to Morocco to follow up a reported sighting of a blonde girl with the same distinctive marking as Madeleine in her right eye.
However it is not the first time the agency has made extremely optimistic, occasionally reckless, claims about the case’s progress.

In answer to your concern about Maddie and how she will be.. if she is with Peds.. remember the 2 cases in the US just recently with Shawn and the other boy (forgot the name now). They were with their abductor for 4 yrs. They had plenty of chances to escape… they even played outside etc… but I read that after awhile… they are so totally brainwashed by their abductor (s) that they relate to them as their family! Look at that girl I think it was in Austria? Who was kidnapped and put in a dungeon (sp?) I believe that she was also on the abductor’s side……
I sure hope this won’t be Maddie’s case………. - and I hope she isn’t with peds…….. -

My big concern is, if Madeleine isnt found soon, what long term psychological damage will she suffer as a result of this abduction? If the worst case scenario is true and Madeleine has been taken by paedophiles, how will this affect her long term? Does anyone know of a case such as this, with such a young child, who has then been released. I hope this doesnt sound unnecessarily negative. Im just concerned if the Madeleine who went on holiday to Portugal even exists any more, or would she be completely changed if she has been with paedophiles since May? So tragic to think of a little life, with so much ahead in the future, having been destroyed by the evil scum who may have taken her.
Melanie, i agree with where you are coming from with your comments to Jean. But i also understand what motivated Jean to write to the PM - Madeleine.
I think as much as people who post on this board, want to dismiss Kate and Gerry’s actions on that night, the fact that they did leave the children, plays a huge part in what subsequently happened to Madeleine. And no matter how sorry you feel for them now, the reason we feel this pity, is because they have lost their child. And the pull on all of our heartstrings is very strong. But i do feel the 2 events need to be looked at separately, otherwise, the fact that Madeleine is now missing, and the obvious pain that is causing, will always override the point that her parents, left their children alone, and as a result of them not being looked after the way they deserved to be, they were at the mercy of so many things that could have gone wrong, and sadly, Madeleine has now paid the ultimate price for this ‘mistake or error of judgement’ I dont want to whip up bad feeling against the McCanns for the sake of it, but i do strongly believe, the fact they left the children is neglect and possibly if they were where they should have been, maybe their daughter would still be with them. For everyone who will respond to this by saying the McCanns are paying the price for what they did, i will always respond, Madeleine is the one who is truly paying for this. Her life has either been cut short or she is in some kind of living hell somewhere, possibly never to return to her family ever again. And for what? A night out, a meal? Some drinks with friends. How can that be more important that looking after your children and doing your best to keep them safe?

Dear Jean, What on this earth are your trying to achieve? Gordon Brown is PM of the British Isles, and it would be very, very inappropriate for him to get close to a situation like this when the parents of Madeleine McCann are suspects of a crime in another country. If the McCanns are completely innocent of all involvement, then it is firmly on the PJ to announce this, but until then the PM of Britain must stay and be seen to be completely impartial. Anything short of this would put both him and his governement in a very difficult position. Just because he happens to be a Scot, along with the McCann family, gives them no more rights to his time and attention than the rest of the people in the country. Now, should the McCanns be released from suspect status, they will, according to reports coming from Portugal be charged with somes aspect of neglectful behaviour resulting in their daughter being either abducted or disappearing from some other act. The very fact that officials in Portugal have discredited the McCanns for leaving their children, in a country where is well and truly an offence should distance the British Government from becoming involved. There are hundreds of homeless families and children in Britain, through no real fault of their own, other than maybe poverty. These are the families who should be getting the personal support and backing of the P.M., not parents who by their own admission have neglected their duties as parents, and have enough finacial support to cover both their own needs and probably every needy family within a hundred miles of their home.

Re: Madeleine McCann
A few years ago the country showed considerable compassion for you and your wife when your baby daughter died. Even though this was an exceptionally sad part of your life you had closure, in the fact that you knew where your daughter was, you knew that she was not suffering, and was at peace. Madeleine McCann’s parents can’t have any of these thoughts, because they do not know where their precious little girl is.
It has been reported in the press that you and ‘the Government’ backed away from the McCanns when they were made arguidos. Surely it is obvious that the Portuguese police took this action because of the imminent change in the law, which would mean that there would have to be substantially more conclusive evidence against a suspect before the arguido status was implemented. As far as I can see the police have no evidence whatsoever against the McCanns, and they should now resume the most important issue here, which is searching for Madeleine McCann.
As we all prepare for the Christmas season, we must NOT forget that there is a little four year old BRITISH SUBJECT who is God knows where, and we must do everything in our power to bring her back home. There is a British family who is grieving for their little girl. She should have started school in September, and should now be making angels, Father Christmas’s, and cards for all of her family in the run up to next week when she would have been singing in her first carol concert, and appearing in her first nativity play. How on earth her family will cope is beyond imagination.
I implore you to please, please continue to help them in their quest, and their continuing search for Madeleine.

Instead of taking posters down I have printed new ones and now have two in each of our cars. I also still have my label on my handbag with a photo of Madeleine. This seems to be the only way I can keep her image alive in peoples minds, and it does work. Every time I go out shopping I make sure my bag is on my shoulder with the label clearly on view. Many people have stopped me and asked where I have got the label from, and then start giving me their opinion of Madeleine’s situation. I must say that most think that she is dead, but I try and convince them otherwise, and I believe that they leave after talking to me with renewed hope because I am so positive. I also have a poster on the wall at work, and because I work in a bank most people notice it there and start up a conversation. I feel that this is my effort,albeit small, to keep her in the minds of joe-public and I will continue to do as much as I can to keep it going. Many children have been found months, and even years after they have been abducted. Lets pray that Madeleine will be one of those fortunate ones, and the sooner the better. I echo the sentiment of all on hear, that is that I will never give up on her.

As far as Jenny Murat goes. She needs to get a reality check. Her grown son put himself in the mix and unfortunately has paid the price. As far as the Mcs being blamed for her son getting all the bad press is totally unfair. Put the blame where it is due…MEDIA. If anyone got a raw deal in this war of words, it is the McCanns. No one else has seen the truly evil side of people like they have. Hopefully one day this will all be solved and Madeleine will be home and all can get on with their lives.

Mike, you are not alone in not wanting to ever give up on Madeleine until she is found.
Whatever people may think of Kate and Gerry McCann, they have to give the twins as normal a life as they possibly can. And that includes a happy Christmas. Kate and Gerry cannot go around all day, showing the children how they really feel on the inside, that just wouldnt be fair on them. I think its high time people stopped all this focus on the McCanns and concentrate on the person who needs to have all the focus on her, Madeleine. She is the one, that all our attention.

Some time ago, when the McCanns started giving interviews, Kate McCann said she could take what people were throwing at her because the worst had already happened. She could bear it, she said, because it was nothing compared with the loss of her little girl. Well, maybe Kate and Gerry McCann are strong enough, maybe they can indeed bear anything, but, for pity’s sake, they should not have to. Some people have got into the habit now of suspecting them, of judging their every move; the way they look and talk, what they weigh, what they wear. You can be sure there will be snatched pictures of them at Christmas, looking bereft or maybe too cheerful among the tinsel and wrapping. And, worst of all, the fear that, with the focus on them, it is not on Madeleine, and that people may stop looking for her. In every interview they have given, that has been their refrain; to try to bring the focus back to Madeleine, where it has always been for them.
I will never rest until Madeleine is found.

Murat’s furious mother launches astonishing attack on McCanns

Murat’s mother says that her son has been unfairly victimised over the Madeleine McCann case
The mother of Madeleine McCann suspect Robert Murat today launched a scathing attack on the girl’s parents.
Jenny Murat claimed her family was being punished simply because Kate and Gerry McCann left their daughter alone in their holiday apartment.
In an interview today, Mrs Murat, 71, also accused the private detective agency hired by the McCanns of allegedly bribing witnesses into changing their stories.
Mrs Murat also said friends of the McCanns, who claim to have seen Mr Murat outside the apartment on the night Madeleine vanished seven months ago, were lying. Her allegations have all been vehemently denied.
Mrs Murat, speaking from her villa in Praia da Luz, said: “I really wish the McCanns had never come on holiday to Praia da Luz.
“I bet they wish they had never come on holiday either. The worst part of it is they did something wrong [by leaving Madeleine alone], we did nothing wrong and we have been penalised for their mistake.”
She added: “It is really upsetting. I cannot tell you what has been going on here. It has just been horrendous.”
She said the Metodo 3 agency had hired detectives to follow her for a week. “Metodo were getting people to change their statements; following everybody everywhere. They were certainly following me.
“They were following me everywhere. Why? I don’t know. It’s pretty scary I can tell you.
“I am 71 and I am getting followed everywhere by people. Was it the Portuguese police? Was it the British police or was it Metodo 3?”
She reiterated her alibi for her son whom she insists was with her the whole evening on 3 May from 8pm.
Three friends of the McCanns, who were dining with them when Madeleine went missing, are certain he introduced himself to them and asked if he could help with the search for Madeleine on the night.

Madeleine: British diplomats ‘were told to avoid offering support to Murat’

Robert Murat received far less consular support than the McCanns because of his suspect status, it is alleged
British diplomats were ordered to “avoid offering support” to Madeleine McCann suspect Robert Murat, it was claimed today.
The Foreign Office sent a memo to staff with the instruction three days after the 34-year-old was named a formal suspect in the case, it was said.
The treatment expat Murat received contrasts starkly with the support Gerry and Kate McCann were offered by the British authorities, Spanish newspaper El Mundo reported.
Murat’s lawyer Francisco Pagarete said: “He feels he has been abandoned by his own government.
“This extremely serious order confirms the lack of support which the family has felt since the beginning.”
The lawyer added: “He does not oppose in any way the support which has been given to the McCanns”.
El Mundo claims a Foreign Office document, dated May 17, justified the order because of “the specific nature of the case” and because British diplomats “were already helping Madeleine McCann’s parents.”
The paper reported: “An internal document, sent by the Foreign Office of the United Kingdom, orders British diplomats ‘to avoid offering support’ to Robert Murat, one of the suspects in the Maddie case, unless charges are presented against him.”
British Ambassador to Portugal John Buck joined the McCanns in the Algarve shortly after Madeleine vanished from the family’s rented holiday apartment in Praia da Luz.
Three family liaison officers from Leicestershire Police also flew to the area to assist the couple, both 39-year-old doctors from Rothley, Leicestershire.
And ten days later the Foreign Office sent press officers Sheree Dodd and Clarence Mitchell to Praia da Luz to help with the media.
El Mundo claims Robert Murat’s only support was a meeting with two low ranking diplomats some weeks after he was named as a suspect.
His mother Jenny, 71, tried but failed to arrange a meeting with British Embassy staff, it said.
In desperation she travelled to the UK to speak with her local MP, complaining of a lack of support from the British authorities.
The MP contacted the Foreign Office and met two diplomatic staff from the Algarve.
The MP was assured Robert Murat would receive the same support given to the McCanns, but only if he was formally charged, the newspaper reported.
Two MPs plan to raise the issue of the different standards of support in Parliament in January, lawyer Francisco Pagarete claims.
Robert Murat denies any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance. He was named an “arguido” or formal suspect after a British newspaper reporter told police she believed he was acting strangely.
Portuguese police believe Madeleine’s parents helped dispose of her body after she died by accident in the Ocean Club holiday flat.
Forensic tests have proved inconclusive and police sources have admitted they do not have enough evidence to charge the couple.
The McCanns deny any involvement in their daugher’s disappearance and insist she was abducted.
Police reportedly believe Robert Murat may have helped the McCanns cover up the crime.
A police source told Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas: “We know that Robert Murat knew the McCanns and we have several witnesses who place him in the area at the time Madeleine disappeared.
“But there is no decisive sighting, and no evidence other than the witnesses. It will be difficult to prove his involvement in the case, as well as his relationship with the McCanns.
“And even the witnesses are weak or contradictory. It will take a miracle to solve the case.”
Robert Murat insists he was at home with his mother at the time Madeleine disappeared and that he had never met the McCanns.
Private detectives working for the Gerry and Kate McCann have put Murat and his German girlfriend Michaela Walczuch at the centre of their investigation.
Spanish agency Metodo 3 are investigating alleged sightings of Michaela, 32, with a girl matching Madeleine’s description after the she disappeared.
Ms Walczuch vigorously denies any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance and has described claims she was involved as “ridiculous”.
Today 24 Horas said police do not consider Michaela a suspect and have no evidence linking her to the case.
Several witnesses have placed her at a Jehovah’s Witnesses meeting between 8pm and 10.15pm on the night Madeleine went missing, it was said.
A police source told the paper: “There is no evidence. She was interrogated because she had links with the suspect (Murat) and a worker at the Ocean Club, who as a matter of fact was also interviewed. But so far nothing links her to the case.”

It could possible that someone knew Maddie….. to have taken her for a case of Revenge towards either K or G….. - Remember.. I read one time that O’brien had a malpractice case against him when he worked in Leicester and had to be transferred to Exeter. They took the move a few weeks prior on going to PDL. I believe they also live a few streets away from where RM’s sister lives in Devon if I’m not mistaken. Could there be a link ? There are a lot of things that the public doesn’t know…. like what the malpractice case was all about and if G. had anything to do with it ?? or even K? I believe Obrien is a GP like K… do we know if they worked in the same dept?? Maybe someone told on him?? -

If Madeleine was abducted. Then you have to remember that we are dealing with someone who thought it was ok, to go into an apartment with 3 sleeping children and take one of them. That person is probably a paedophile or associated with or works for paedophiles. Therefore, either way we are dealing with scum, someone with no conscience or care that he / she has torn this family apart. Caused untold pain and suffering. We are not dealing with a human being here, but a sub species. So we cannot rely on who ever has Madeleine to return her, to show an ounce of compassion or remorse for this inhumane crime they have committed. We have to hope that someone competent is looking for her, and that they are really leaving no stone unturned.

I think it’s about time that everything got quiet… and maybe that’s a good sign for Maddie. Maybe someone has hinted to them not to say or broadcast anything anymore in order to save Maddie’s life if it is in critical danger . Maybe whoever has her will finally let her get back to her family so they can move on with their lives. -

Have just read a few comments on the Brian Ladd Website there are a few people questioning why Sky have taken Madeleine off the front page there appears to be very little about her, they are saying it all seems a bit odd, papers gone quite, sky news saying they have re-designed their site, and Metro3 very quite as well, I hope the confident male he is talking about is part of Metro3 or someone else looking for madeleine, when I read other peoples thoughts on things it does make me feel a bit odd, I wonder if suddenly completely out of the blue will we see the headlines “Madeleine returned Safe and Well”

I glean the King Of Vesicas is the change which is perhaps going to take place … and indicates being on the brink of success. The King of Vesicas is a bringer of inner peace …. there is a confident male here … his confidence and his skill are sensed within this working. It seems male will accomplish what he set out to do … the feeling with this male is one is who part of the team looking for MM ….
The Maid of Staffs …. is indicative of a message or a messenger … which is the bringer of renewed hope. There is favourable news to be received. This relates to situations not necessarily reported by the media. The media will thankfully be the last to be informed …. for there is something significant outlined here which will not initially make the news. The Queen of Swords must soon relinquish her custody of the flaming sword … the trail of trust seems now to lead to the sword ….. slowly but surely.
