Daisy, correct me on this if i’m wrong, but isn’t it the case you cannot enter Australia if you have a criminal record? This should totally apply to paedophiles the world over. I should imagine Portugal will be reviewing their laws and sex offenders registers should be instated as a matter of urgency. It should be extremely disturbing to them that paedophiles flock to their country….but then again will it??? with what we know about corruption and Casa Pia maybe they are not so concerned afterall.
Portugal is a beautiful country, but never again will i set foot on their soil again.

You’re not the only one to assume that I have Isla’s email.. and I do not unfortunately.. but I think someone else might have it…….. and I’m sure that when they’ll read your post they will fwd your info to her…
I just feel that there is something more into Maddie’s kidnapping that it is not your “Usual ” kidnapping if I can say it like that. There is something very odd in this entire story!!!!!! - I just can’t put everything together yet……… This is the first case that I’m really into so to speak……. and cannot put it down … I’m not a detective.. (although I wish I was..!) but feel that with the internet tools that are out there available that some people who are tech savy and /or have a police career etc…. that we could possibly solve it… I sure hope so for Maddie’s sake!! I sure hope that she was put up for adoption verus then with peds! and/or as horrible as this sounds…. that she could be with the Mcs friends out of a revenge case for some reason unknown….

Hi all
Paedophiles should not be in the Algarve or anywhere else for that matter. They should be kept in their own country where we can keep an eye on them, preferably in prison where they belong. No paedophile should be allowed out of their country nor should any be let into another country. Years ago if you had a criminal record you could not hold a passport, that law should be reinstated for these evil sick individuals. Maybe this is something we should consider writing to our governments about.
Imho, the McCann’s are 100% innocent of any crime against Madeleine, apart from their irresponsible behaviour. The Portuguese police have no evidence against them and that is why they are trying to keep them as suspects for as long as they can, the Portuguese police are stalling for time hoping to frame the McCann’s so they won’t have to look stupid to the whole world for ever. This opinion is based on what I have seen on TV, heard on the radio and read. The more photos I see of Madeleine and the tortured faces of the McCanns my heart just bleeds for them all.

hello anthony i’m sorry if i offended you, i didn’t mean suspicious in a malicious way but in that you have a very vivid imagination. i’m glad i’m not able to do as you suggest in your last post. i don’t blame you for being annoyed. i don’t post often and when i do its always about madeleine. i have never offended anyone on here. i do read all the posts and i would wish with all my heart that you could solve this but i’m afraid to say that i don’t think you can. i think we are all agreed that robert murat has something to do with it but what can we do? i just hope that there is more going on behind the scenes than we think. i have been on this forum since the beginning but i don’t have the computer knowledge that some of you have so can’t do some of the things that you all do. once again i am sorry so please don’t send me to coventry. any way my prayers are as always for madeleine but i do wish you all a happy new year.xxxxxxxx

Just thought you all ought to know that the PJ have had the blue bag in their possession for some time.
This is the bag reported missing by Gerry initially - documented by the PJ - reported by SKY and other sources and now denied by Gerry and CM.
The contents of this bag are deemed interesting.
The game played out prior to the arrival of the new investigating officer was purely to put added pressure on the McCann’s.
The bag was NOT discovered on a beach or in a layby. The PJ are aware of this and so are the McCann’s.
The fact that Rebelo moved to ’support’ the position of those asserting the truth of the tennis bag is very significant.
It was NOT the bag some have seen CM carrying in an early PDL photo.

hello dasiy,i agree with you there is more than one person involved,3 to 5 people,
the man behind murat is probably a police man,murat is under heavy police protection so no one can get to him to question him,it does not matter as his answers are rubbish,
remember neither him or malinka or his girlfriend did nothing to search for the child,he knows the area like the back of his hand and so do the rest but they did not join searchers,murat is the first person i would have asked where she is as he knows the area so well but he knows nothing and looked no where and his explanation as to where he was that night is laughtable,

I agree with you in that, in my opinion, the PJ don’t have enough to charge anybody or they would have done it by now. I also tend to think that Maddie is somewhere in the Algarve region, or if she is not anymore, the perpetrator lives in that region and there are more than one.

why hasnt all the police and media pressure yeilded anything,because the people who took her know that they have nothing as they are based in playa del luz and know whats happening there,thats why there is no panic by them.nothing to panic about as the child is well hidden by them and cannot be found by anyone other than them,

I see the McCanns as successful, in the sense that they are both University educated, they have good incomes, they have a comfortable lifestyle and live in a large home. Are they happy? I don’t know.
In Australia (and maybe it is also a UK English expression) they would call this the “Tall Poppy Syndrome”: Successful? Pull them down!
I am a sole parent (divorced) with my ex-husband living about an hour away, therefore all the care of my daughter falls mainly on my shoulders. She sees her Dad fortnightly on weekends, but any care after school, sickness, etc. is only and exclusively upto me, as I have no extended family where I live that I could rely upon for some help, if I needed. It’s been a financial struggle all the way, to make sure she is well cared for while I work, after the school finishes or during vacation periods. Very costly!
I make the remark above, because if this case would have been about a single parent, who left the kids alone, because of a work sitaution, who could not afford a babysitter, who had no relatives, etc., I would have felt more sympathetic towards the parent, than in the McCanns’ case, who allegedly had the financial means to afford a baby-sitter for a few nights, but allegedly left them unsupervised to go and have a good time.
However, I see the neglect aspect of this case as a separate issue to the actual disapperance of Maddie. The parents, in my opinion, are responsible for enabling the situation to have occurred, but I can’t say more at this stage, as I have no proof. Do I have my doubts about the abductor theory? Yes, sometimes.

THE last British paedophile wanted for questioning over Madeleine McCann’s disappearance has been cleared, it was revealed yesterday.
The man was among 52 British perverts with links to Portugal, all named on a list given to Portuguese cops by UK detectives.
The Sun told last week how 51 had been quizzed over Maddie but one was still being sought. But yesterday it emerged he has been found, questioned and cleared of any involvement.
He gave a firm alibi for his activities on May 3, the day the four-year-old girl vanished from her parents’ holiday apartment in Praia da Luz. The development means another blind alley for the Maddie investigation.
Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha reported yesterday: “All British paedophiles have been investigated and acquitted.”
Clarence Mitchell, spokesman for Maddie’s parents Kate and Gerry, said the discovery of the last Brit showed police are doing their job. But he added: “There are also people who aren’t on any list who need to be traced.”
One is 32-year-old ex-pat Christian Ridout, also known as DJ Shifty, who vanished two years ago after being accused of grooming a 12-year-old British girl in Praia da Luz.
The McCanns – still official suspects – faced more disappointment yesterday when it was revealed they may not learn of any police evidence against them for another six months.
The couple, both 39, of Rothley, Leics, had been pinning their hopes on a new penal code which would enable their lawyers to access case files.
They had expected this to happen on January 3. But police and prosecutors could get more time.

Kate and Gerry McCann could have to wait another six months to learn why they were made suspects in their daughter’s disappearance.
Portuguese police files setting out the alleged evidence against them were due to be made public on January 3, but are now expected to be kept secret until as late as July, sources revealed yesterday.
Under Portuguese law, secrecy restrictions on police files would be lifted after eight months to allow the suspects’ lawyers to see the evidence against them.
But detectives have not completed their investigation and want to re-interview the McCanns and their friends.
The public prosecutor is expected to be granted an extension to accommodate this, meaning evidence remaining secret for up to six months.
The McCanns, both aged 39, now fear their lawyers could face a protracted legal battle to get their official suspect, or “arguido”, status lifted and might even have to take the case to the European Court of Human Rights.
Under Portuguese law there is no deadline which forces police to charge someone or lift their suspect status and there have been cases of people remaining arguidos for more than seven years.
The couple, of Rothley, Leicestershire, are desperate to have their arguido status lifted so they can talk freely about the case.
Their spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: “Kate and Gerry feel it is a huge distraction and while police are looking at them they are not searching for Madeleine. The suggestion they were involved remains very upsetting to them.”
Portuguese police have prepared letters of appeal setting out more than 100 questions they want the socalled Tapas Nine to answer about the night Madeleine disappeared from Praia da Luz in May. Magistrate and legal expert Carlos Casimiro said police would be ‘desperate’ to extend the secrecy deadlines.
He told the Portuguese newspaper Diario de Noticias he thought the most likely outcome would be “the delay of the investigation in a desperate attempt to seek enough evidence to make an accusation”.
He added: “This is an exceptionally high-profile case and it is the country’s image which is at stake.”
Meanwhile, the police investigation hit another dead end yesterday when it emerged detectives had traced and eliminated all British paedophiles known to have links to the Algarve.
British police gave their Portuguese counterparts a list of 52 known or suspected child sex offenders who they believed could have been in the region at the time Madeleine vanished.
Mr Mitchell said: “If reports are correct, then we are pleased that police are doing their jobs properly.
“But there are also people who aren’t on any lists who need to be traced.”
One man who may not be on any list as he has never been convicted of an offence in Britain is part-time barman and disc jockey Christian Ridout.
The Daily Mail told yesterday how the 32-year-old fled Praia da Luz after being accused of grooming a 12-yearold girl for sex. When he vanished two years ago he was working at an expats’ pub 200 yards from where Madeleine disappeared.

This works both ways. We dont know either way what went on. And obviously as far as the law goes, of course it has to be innocent until proven guilty. But that doesnt mean anyone speculating that the McCanns may be more involved than they admit, are necessarily wrong and should be automatically condemned for thinking such things.
I agree with Karen that the way the Mcs leaving their children alone and how this has been viewed, does appear to be class related. I think a whole different view would have been taken, if someone who lives on a council estate, had gone down to their local pub and left 3 children alone, of such a young age, in an unlocked house. I am sure, that a lot of people would be looking down their noses, tut tutting, and saying what else can you expect. I live on a council estate so i feel that i am able to make this comment without causing offence. As i have had people make comments about what they think someone who lives/comes from a council estate must be like. I think people would be quicker to judge that situation if it occurred under those circumstances and would be jumping up and down, shouting child neglect.
I also agree with Karen that we cannot make assumptions on how the Mcs are feeling, and that Madeleine’s disappearance is punishment enough. We dont know for sure what their involvement was, if indeed they were involved at all. We owe it to Madeleine to keep an open mind, surely that is the only way to find her, or at least what has happened to her. Preconceived notions of what people are like,or what they are feeling, or what their motivations are, are not helpful at this stage. This comment is made about anyone who has been suspected of harming or involved in Madeleine’s disappearance.

Daisy i agree this is much bigger than we know, and may never know the full extent of this case….
I am sure i had read that they (McC’s) requested arguido status as did RM for exactly the reasons you mentioned, so they had the right to remain silent…but also the Police had to make them arguidos in order to ask them particular questions…so not sure.
I remember Paul and him saying there was going to be big news about a washed up sports bag…that is creepy to say the least. Wonder who ‘Paul’ was and if he was right…..

I know what I’m about to write will sound a bit ridiculous and maybe crazy, but, I have a possible theory about something.
Form what I understand, when someone is made an “arguido”, it gives the individual in question the right to keep silent and not answer any questions, which wouldn’t be the case if they were not “arguidos”.
Because, allegedly there has been some intervention from the UK government in this case, which in itself would be unusual, “what if” the McCanns were made “arguidos” with their/the UK Govt consent, to protect them from the Media, from questions from reporters, etc.? The Secrecy Laws in Portugal would then make it easy for the “arguido” not to have to answer crucial questions from the reporters. I say this, because, in my opinion, the real story behind this case is much bigger than we think.

Well, if a bag was really found near Lisbon, maybe that could be the one that allegedly the PJ has in their possession.
As much as I try not to think that Maddie could be dead, the more time goes by, the harder I find it to believe that she still might be alive. Poor little girl!

Missing Bag - Blue Bag
I read last night in a Mirror forum about the bag. One post there says he knows from reliable sources, that the PJ has the bag and has had it for a while. Their discussion went even further, to say that the PJ have the evidence they need but do not know at this stage exactly how Maddie was killed and by whom!! Has anyone read anything about this in the UK media?
