SM - you seem to be fairly protective of RM. Your real name wouldn't happen to be Sergey Malinka, would it?!?!?!!? I know it's ridiculous. Just thought I'd ask.

Always thinking of Madeleine these days, I hope she goes home safely.

Murat has been suspect very early on with little progress so far. I don't know if he is involved in Madeleine's abduction but until or unless he is arrested maybe it is best to keep digging. Again, Murat was suspect very early on but no arrest, huge reward, public awareness, dedicated police work, media attention... no Madeleine.

I don't know about the rest of you but the articles about the McCann's returning for a christening isn't helping find Madeleine. Many of the reporters use the McCann story in a lazy kind of way that involves little work. The same old info twisted into a new little version of something.

One person recently wrote that Mr. Chemello had a house in an area the Frenchman visited. That is actually new information. Whether or not that is significant I don't know but I read earlier that Mr. Chemello and Vaz's neighbors noticed many children in and out of a particular house of theirs. Could that be the same house the neighbors reported seeing many children in and out? Could there be a connection between the Frenchman and Mr. Chemello or his ladyfriend? Did Mr. Chemello have any significant information about Madeleine regardless of his previous jail sentence or other suspected activities? Madeleine is not with Murat so where is she? Isn't it best to keep looking at other circumstances? Does Murat know the Frenchman? Does Murat know Mr. Chemello. Maybe he will say. Ask him.

According to information I read yesterday Mr. Oldfield, a McCann friend, was the last non parent to check on Madeleine. Has anyone checked his computer? None of us know for sure at this point if Murat was in the McCann apartment the night she went missing but we do know it is reported other people, McCann friends, had access. Why the press is hesitant to do a little dig into the people who were actually in and out of the apartment? Does Mr. Oldfield know any pheadophiles? Does Mr. Oldfield know the Frenchman? Does Mr. Oldfield know Mr. Chemello? Does Mr. Oldfield know Murat? Has Mr. Oldfield read about Casanova? No, I am not pointing a finger at Mr. Oldfield. To focus only on Murat appears a mistake knowing it has been a while and no arrest.

So Murat is a suspect but that doesn't mean he is guilty or that there could be more suspects.

Flicka Says:
July 12th, 2007 at 4:44 am

"Murat is a sick person IMHO, killing animals to have his ‘pleasure’ as the articles have said, on camera, and expecting his poor mother to put them in baskets and pots before she buried them or toted them away in the car. I am starting to think much more highly of his mother and think he is a sick wanna-be pedo who fawned on his daughter so much that it caused the breakup of his marriage, and Dawn took Sophie’s passport so he couldn’t steal her away for his pleasure.

In the first article about Dawn, she lied, big time. Then the truth came out in another article about how they watched porn together, etc. She is no angel IMHO.

I have thought all along Murat was approached to assist in the stealing of Madeleine, and that if he wouldn’t condescend, they would also take Sophie.

I think that is why Murat is not telling the whole truth to the PJ. He was threatened that if he didn’t help in skirting her away after she was taken that they would instead take his Sophie, and he might be still afraid for her safety. That is why he desperately called to make sure she was OK and why at this point he is not in cuffs.

He was blackmailed to do what he did, so don’t think he will suffer an outrageous penalty for what he did.

He was panicked, insisting, which told me it was not a normal fatherly Hi Sweetie kind of a deal. He had to hear her voice for himself. And then he so panicked about the rental car, remember that? Why, It was like he was a cat on a hot tin roof.

His Sophie is everything to him. Pervert, yes. But above all, he isn’t about to lose his precious little girlie."

Flicka - (I'm tempted to give you another, although similar sounding, name - but I'll resist the temptation) - your post was made at 4:44 a.m.

I would guess therefore that you are not in the UK.

Some people from other countries who are posting on these forums and who are assassinating Robert Murat's character, or telling downright lies about him, seem to think that they are immune from possible future legal action.

Oh, really ..... !?

The Catholic Church is very much against IVF, and the MCCanns are practising Catholics, but that is really between them and their God, I, for one, think.
But maybe it has something to do with Madeleine's disappearance?

Until this mystery comes to a close, shouldn't we keep all avenues open? including her conception.
There may be a clue, or not ,time will tell

Hal you are certainly heartless! I'm sure they realize their error and are in a state of complete despair now. How would you feel if it was your child missing for 70 days, that is if you have any? And what does IVF have to do with the price of rice in China? Madeleine is theirs' and theirs' alone. What does the catholic church have to do with it? And if they are able to make this horrible crime known worldwide, more power to them.

Hal,you are really a heartless golute! What does IVF have to do with the price of rice in China? This little girl was conceived and carried to full term by the mother. Do you know the particulars of this situation? Just because the father didn't "stick it in" doesn't mean this child is not their's. Who cares what the catholic church thinks anyway! And as far as their media exposure is concerned, what would you do if you lost your child that is, if you even have one. I say more power to them. If they have connections, good for them. Yes, they made an error in judgement but are we all perfect like you? I'm sure they regret this very much. They are missing their child very much and so are we!

Flicka, are you in the UK?

If Flicka is, you can be almost sure that she is detained in a secure hospital at the pleasure of the Queen and, hopefully, she is under close watch at all times.

I certainly wouldn't want her to be wandering, unsupervised, through the hallways of the local asylum with a soup spoon in her hand.

Don't know how she slipped her restraints and got access to a computer; however, I certainly hope that the staff stumble upon her sicko fingerings and add another 10 years to the observation period.

Protect the public! Don't free Flicka!!!

I do feel these friends of the parents should be questioned ,.Especially the last ones to visit,as they were all said to have taken it in turns to check all the children.I would think instinct should tell the parents minds who to suspect.I know what I would be thinking If it was my child gone missing .Even if madeline turns up in a completely different place safe and well. Please Maddy be safe.God protect and love her.Whatever has happened.Maddy is the only one innocent in this.

Murat is a sick person IMHO, killing animals to have his 'pleasure' as the articles have said, on camera, and expecting his poor mother to put them in baskets and pots before she buried them or toted them away in the car. I am starting to think much more highly of his mother and think he is a sick wanna-be pedo who fawned on his daughter so much that it caused the breakup of his marriage, and Dawn took Sophie's passport so he couldn't steal her away for his pleasure.

In the first article about Dawn, she lied, big time. Then the truth came out in another article about how they watched porn together, etc. She is no angel IMHO.

I have thought all along Murat was approached to assist in the stealing of Madeleine, and that if he wouldn't condescend, they would also take Sophie.

I think that is why Murat is not telling the whole truth to the PJ. He was threatened that if he didn't help in skirting her away after she was taken that they would instead take his Sophie, and he might be still afraid for her safety. That is why he desperately called to make sure she was OK and why at this point he is not in cuffs.

He was blackmailed to do what he did, so don't think he will suffer an outrageous penalty for what he did.

But above all, he isn't about to lose his precious little girlie.

Liz, I hope you are correct! The police need to solve this despicable crime once and for all. The longer it takes, the harder it gets. Little, innocent Madeleine needs to be returned to her mother and father’s loving arms. That is is main focus now. After all, she is their own flesh and blood.

Those arms weren't so fookin' loving when the three wee bairns were bunged away in bed, night after flipping night, as the parents left them alone and unchecked as they skarfed down tapas and swilled sangria.
And those loving arm seem to be occupied elsewhere these days, posting semi-literate messages on a blog, ballooning, and counting the torrents of public and (unrevealed) corporate cash that is flooding into their corporate entity.

The more money comes in, the harder it's going to be to chuck the luxury-loving, early retirement lifestyle

And does flesh and blood include IVF flesh and blood? The Holy Catholic Church would hardly call one's own flesh and blood immoral, would it?

They say that misery loves company, but surely misery must hate a company whose income is based solely on the marketing of misery?
