The Committee to Save Miss America: Amy Polumbo’s X-Rated ‘Today’ Show

MISS New Jersey likes to show off her mini pumkins and spread her legs for the camera. But she never thought the rest of the world would find out.

That was until she started receiving threatening emails from “The Committee to Save Miss America” which pulled incriminating photographs from Miss New Jersey Amy Polumbo’s Facebook account and vowed to make them public unless she relinquished her crown.

But Palumbo stood her ground refusing to bow to blackmail. And yesterday she put one over on her mystery opponent/s by making the photographs public on NBC’s “Today” show.

“It’s not in a ladylike manner,” Polumbo said. “I’m not a robot. I’m a human being,”

Soon after Palumbo appeared on the show, the board of Miss New Jersey met to discuss whether she would still go on to represent the Garden State in this year’s Miss America pageant.

The panel decided that the photos were in bad taste, but not so bad as to warrant her dismissal.

“I’m not going to say we were all in agreement,” co-executive director Lou Barthold told the New York Post. “Some [pictures] were worse than others…But our decision is unanimous that there was nothing immoral in the photos.”

Afterwards, Palumbo even got the opportunity to put in a bit of practice for her possible acceptance speech: “I want to thank the public…I also want to thank God for getting me through this.”

There was no mention of world peace.
