What you say is true Terry, round here they care only about the Packers, the Brewers and, to a lesser extent, the Bucks.
Soccer? Huh?
The Milwaukee Wave was fun for a while, indoor soccer! I actually thought that was good in a perverse way. They played in the same building as the Milwaukee Admirals (hockey) it would have been even more fun if they had done it on ice.
Maybe that's the answer, Beckham on ice.

Hi Billy, Yep I like Home Depot but the interesting thing is, unlike B&Q, most of the people in there are contractors. DIY doesn't seem to be part of the American psyche. Whereas B&Q is full of families on a wet Sunday, Home Depot is full of contractors getting stuff for their next job. Suggest spending a Sunday with the family at a contractors store and most Yanks would think you were a little strange to say the least. Perhaps its a reflection on the standard and cost of contractors in the USA or perhaps its the British obsession with houses and how much they are worth. Dunno

Anyway, yes you are right. Talking about somebodys next DIY job IS more interesting than Posh and Becks so best of luck with the flooring. Take care Terry

1/2 million a week for an, admittedly world class footballer, at an age where most in the profession are planning retirement! (he will be knocking years old 40 by the time the contract expires). As for Victoria - just what LA needs, another talent less, self obsessed, has been, 30 something, pouting, tits on sticks bimbo. Still I suppose somebody must think they are worth it.

Nice one with the raunchy photos guys but I fear it has an air of desperation about it. Yes it worked for that other talent less bimbo Hilton but I'm afraid that, "it has been done" if you get my drift.

As for promoting soccer I have lived in America for many years frankly I wish them good luck, they are going to need it. Let me put it this way if the most famous American basket ball player, a house hold name in the US, defected to the UK to promote basket ball what chance do you think he would stand even if he was married to a has been pop star. Get my drift?

Sometimes I find western societies obsession with celebrity and people famous for being famous quite depressing.
