I smoked it too, back then it was rare to meet anyone who didn't.
Don't know if it has harmed the people in power, maybe power is harming people in power, not cannabis?

Its a Nanny state now, but how come the city centres are still filled with drunks high on drugs? the homeless and all the losers in society?
People well able to look after themselves should be able to decide for themselves whether they want to sit in a smoke filled pub or other public place. The down and outs do NOT do pubs, they get their stub ends from goodness knows where, stuff them full of very dubious drugs, and drink meths.
Almost teaching your granny to suck eggs really.

I don't smoke these days, purely my own choice, both financial and health reasons came into my decision to stop, that was back in 93 though, when we were allowed to think for ourselves.
When I want to go out I always did try to get the non smoking area, but equally I would strongly protest if there was one of the great unwashed nearby.
