If Robert Murat is in the paedophile business, abducting young children for the sex slave trade, or even for illegal adoptions, he could have snatched Maddy, made off towards the Church and the beach and met the rich man on the yacht who was docked there for 2 years but no longer was there after Maddy went missing. The rich guy takes Maddy whereever and that is how he supports his lavish lifestyle. Just a thought.

I wouldnt be surprized after so many lies and slurs about the fund and what it is going to be used for that the money has stopped coming in..

If and when you are proved wrong about the McCanns and the fund money does get handed over to help familys of other missing children like it says whats left will be when they find Madeleine. I hope all of you that have helped to stop donations being handed over with your lies and over active minds are proud that other familys are not going to get as much help as they deserve.

I just hope you can justify your actions if you are proved to be wrong.

To Pete and others - when it is proved that Robert Murat is guilty of nothing, then the tabloids will be sued. They can of course afford the best lawyers and are accustomed to being taken to court. People expect it, and afterwards it is soon forgotten. They can also afford to pay lots of money. £1m to Elton John and others for example.

Can you afford to have your names dragged through the courts. Can you face the prospect of being financially ruined?

Is it just me or has the so called fund stopped receiving donations, or is it that the mcscroungers are too busy counting the money to be bothered to update the fund amount on the “official” site. It seems to have been stuck at just over £900,000 for well over a week now!!!!!

To those who constantly state that Robert Murat is guilty, especially Pete, liz and others - you should have said “allegedly” when telling everyone all the things he is supposed to have done. You should have made it clear that it was an opinion and not fact. You actually state all of these things as if they are facts and not just your opinion. You talk as if you know him personally, when none of you do. You know nothing about him. All you “know” is what you have read or heard.

Pete, in one of your posts (July 24th, 2007 at 4:22 am) on “Madeleine McCann: Hope Floats” you make many allegations about Mr Murat, including saying he is definitely a paedophile. That is libel.

You have hidden behind your computers for long enough.

He follows everything on the internet and he reads all this stuff.

You might need a good lawyer?

moderation it seems to me that you are the one who is obsessed with the money. Are you on Gerrys payroll or something? What exactly is your problem with people mentioning the money or how it is being wasted giving the Mcscroungers the high life, paying their mortgage, paying for their new appartment and all their expenses and probably buying new Nike trainers for Mrs mcscrougers little runs up the hill. Shes done it in 16 mins now you know! You never know they might even start using some of this money to help find Maddie - you know the little girl that was apparently “abducted”.

Finally tonight I saw a map of the area including Murat’s house. Judging from the map that I saw it appears only the back of the McCann apartment can possibly be seen from Murat’s. If the front of the apartment is the active area, coming and going, it is hard to know how Murat would have learned about the McCann family or the nightly routine in the first place. Would you think someone would have to be around and notice the child, the routine, how often people come and go, whether or not there is a babysitter, etc. ? From the map I saw it is difficult to understand how Murat could have made those determinations although it appears he could have possibly watched the back of the apartment during an abduction. At the same site where I saw the map I read that Sergy called Murat that night on the land line, assume no answer but don’t know, and then called Murat’s mother’s cell phone. I don’t know if he tried Murat’s cell number or if Murat even has one. The information I read did not indicate whether Murat actually spoke to Sergy so I was left unsure if Sergy spoke to Murat’s mother and that is the call we are hearing about? Without knowing more it is possible Murat’s mother spoke to Sergy and said Murat was asleep? The one unusual circumstance I read is that someone said Murat and Sergy had seen each other recently and other reports state Sergy said he hasn’t seen Murat in three months. None confirmed in any way to suggest reliability.

If the man who was supposedly seen walking off carrying a child headed toward the beach area, as I have seen reported, then that appears, from the map, in a different direction that Murat’s house. The only thing I can determine after looking at the map is that Murat could possibly see the back of the McCann apartment from his property. Without a photo showing hedges or other reasons to block the view I can’t even be sure of that.

Finally, other than recent reports claiming locals saw Murat at the initial search when he says he wasn’t there the rest of the picture isn’t convincing so far. The best I can tell Murat could maybe see the back of the McCann apartment, the parking area, and it is even possible Murat didn’t actually talk to Sergy but I don’t know???? it is hard to make out what actually took place regarding the calls other than it is alledged Sergy tried to call Murat.

On the map it is possible to sort of see the beach area but not much so what is suppose to be at that point I don’t know. Where is the marina, which has been mentioned previously?

When reading reports about a man walking off with a child close to the area Sergy lives appears unusual until looking at the map. The walk to the beach area happens to be going past the area Sergy lives. The overall place is small to begin with and if someone walks to the beach they happen to pass the area Sergy lives. After looking at the map that circumstance isn’t as suspect as it might be just reading.

Sum up so far maybe a man walking with a child toward the beach about the time Madeleine would have disappeared. Murat having a possible view of the back of the McCann apartment or parking area from where he lives. Sergy supposedly calls the land line and Murat’s mother’s’ cell but no indication if Murat actually spoke to him. It is almost impossible, after looking at the map, to understand how Murat could have made the determinations a person would have to make about the McCanns to plan an abduction. No doubt I could be missing something that was explained at an earlier date and I missed the news?

Other than to report a viewing of Madeleine it is hard for the public to help without more information.

AMEN!!!!

I just wish I could find her and hold her and kiss her forehead(like I do my children) and tell it is all right. NO oNE will hurt her. This has made me soooo sick to my stomach…my whole soul aches to find and protect her.

I have been driving my kids and husband CRAZY because I can’t stop thinking about the poor little girl..and now I constantly think of the other poor children ….I can barely let my kids outside anymore unless I am right out there where I can see them.

And yes I do thank GOD for them and their safety…but then why doesn’t he save the “lost children”? OK..that’s a WHOLE other can of worms…

There are toomany smoke screens in this mystery…and hopefully soon..the one’s putting them up will be caught and burn in hell!!

Jim - I agree with just about everthing you say and I feel very strongly about the pathetic money grabbing mc kers.

April401 - apparently when it was “discovered that little Maddie was “missing” by her mother, the twins were infact left alone as she went back to the tapas bar.

I also find this very odd. If as it has been made out, they were only yards away did she not scream for help, and why was she not screaming for her daughter - I know I would be. NO NO NO she just calmly walked back to the bar to tell her husband ( as if he didnt already know)

Now think about it for a moment - YOU DISCOVER ONE OF YOUR KIDS ARE MISSING………What do you do?…..LEAVE THE OTHER 2 KIDS AGAIN WHILE YOU POP BACK TO THE BLOODY BAR TO TELL EVERYONE? ? ? I dont think so! Not unless your name is mccann anyway!

so….when she came back screaming “they took her!!” Where were the twins? Did she leave them ALONE again…after you fear someone just took your child, do you leave the children AGAIN to get her husband? DId she leave them again? Was she sure they had the child they wanted and were not coming for the other two?
I want Maddie back as much as the rest of you. I feel panic in my heart and frustration in my brain because I cannot help. But this all seems soooo weird to me. Like they are gonna pop up with her and tell all of us parents that this COULD really happen and we need to protect our children. Or it seems like they already know what happened…just not telling us.
I don’t know, I am just scarred for Madeleine.

Gerry is off to American so that some good can perhaps come out of this terrible tragedy. If the EU can tighten up the leglislation on sex offenders and he can use the publicity to positive effect then well done to him.
I can’t understand the malice displayed towards the McCanns - surely the kidnapper is the bad guy in all of this ? I really think the McCanns are suffering enough without people putting the boot in and being nasty. They made a mistake, they left their kids unattended, they will be paying for it the rest of their lives.
