Robert Murat Used Ex-Wife’s Address To Rent Car

Robert Murat used his ex-wife address in Hockering (Norfolk),UK, to rent a car on May 12, the birthday of Madeleine, according to the French language blog SOS Madeleine. Murat said that he needed the car because “English people who are looking for the little girl need to borrow my car. They need to put information posters on it”, according to one of the employees of “Auto Rent III”, quoted by “The Mirror”.
Murat took the blue Hyundai Getz at 17h16, May 12 and a friend returned the car on May 15. SOS Madeleine published a picture of the renting car papers. The French blog SOS Madeleine says also that the miles registered with the renting company were “quite a lot” but it quotes a source close to the company that admits the possibility of a mistake, in the registration of the distance the car has been driven. The renting contract only has the number of miles the car had registered when it was taken by Robert Murat. The Auto Rent III agency at Praia da Luz doesn’t have a computer system and documents are handwritten.
The reason Murat gave, when he hired the car, was different from a later justification from Tuck Price, his friend and spokesman to the Press. On June 5, Tuck Price told “The Resident”, a English language newspaper published in Algarve, that Murat needed a rented car because “police had asked him to come to Portimão to help with their investigation. One of his cars was being repaired and the other was being used by his mother, so he had to hire a car to get himself to Portimão. The police know this and are not investigating it as suspicious.”
Mario Rocio, an assistant at Auto Rent III, told “The Telegraph” that Robert Murat “was acting suspiciously” when he phoned her, to ask for a car: “There was something in his voice. I thought he needed a car in a hurry.”

According to another paper this was said about the mccann friends ‘They told how they took turns every half-hour to check on their own and other friends’ children.’
This suggests does it not that the friends also left their kids alone in their rooms!!!
Maybe the doctors all sedated their kids to have a good night out!!!!
Only joking - that’s ridiculous - but so is leaving your kids alone in a room - if they checked on them that much the window of opportunity wouldn’t be there!!!

Hey - read this again - carefully! What ‘English people’ needed to use Murat’s car and why? Maybe you’re missing the point!!!!
Why didn’t the ‘English people’ get their own rental car? - or use their friends?
Is it because the Mccanns couldn’t get insurance for a rental car - being highly paid doctors and all it would be difficult - so they borrowed Murats? Would they have been insured to drive that?
Obviously insurance would be the last thing on my mind if I was looking for my kid - but the ‘English people’ walked past rental cars and went to Murat’s house at the bottom of the road to use his car….why? am we missing something important here? Were the English people Doctors? Friends? the Mccanns?
Again we are given snippets of information but the truth is out there!

Okay, so you are a fake Steph what do you want to talk about hon? You never say? the rental car? Here’s my thought on the rental car. How long ago? and maybe the police figured to check it with sniff dogs, for dna, or the address? If the police didn’t check out the car give it up. Why can’t you think of a way to promote something constructive other than make remarks about people who actually try to contribute, whether you like their content. I have seen you other times always appearing to do the same. But, all of it keeps things interesting. So, Stephanie from Germany with speech unlike a lady ,do you think Madeleine is alone NOW? That is the real question?

Yesterday I read a well written article which allowed people to have a little more insight into the real McCanns, my opinion. I believe the Mccanns really are living every parents worst nightmare regardless of differing public opinons regarding the nightly routine. I can relate to the fact that many people question how the McCanns could have felt comfortable with the routine. Obviously they were for whatever reason at the time. There was one circumstance in the article, reportedly made by Mr. McCann’s sister, that worried me, although I think I understood her intended meaning.. Mr. McCanns sister said that it only takes one “greedy and unscrupulous person” to give information that leads to Madeleine. The reason I worry about the statement is because a person could give information and even expect reward money without being greedy or unscrupulous. Information could be given by a “greedy and unscrupulous person” that leads to Madeleine but not all people with info who also deserve reward money would fit into that catagory. Another aspect of that remark “greedy and unscrupulous” which may or may not be a coincidence is that I remember Chemello’s wife being labeled that after she was questioned by the police, a part of this investigation that went secret and vanished with no leaks as to what they claimed to know.
Also, after watching the McCann interview with Greta, didn’t see all of it, I noticed how Mr. McCann explained the family was having a nice time on holiday and how much fun the kids were having, etc. I can understand why he explained what a nice holiday until the abduction but knowing how many people in the public are saying the McCanns don’t want to care for the children themselves it appeared like he stuck his foot in his mouth again when he commented what a great time the children were having on holiday at child care. If I remember correctly Mrs. McCann sort of glanced over at him at the time. What I am trying to say is I think Mr. McCann is very likely a good guy but could it be possible he is kind of streetwise lost somehow? At the same time I saw a picture of Mr. McCann walking in front of the White House and I could “feel” his pain. Imagine running all over the world trying to find your child?
The only information I have read about the nightly routine for the McCann friend’s children is that one other couple left their children but the information didn’t indicate if the door was locked. Much has been published suggesting the McCann door was unlocked, even a story explaining the McCanns said the door was left unlocked in case of fire. Unless there is a public correction I am assuming the door was unlocked because the McCanns have a lot of access to the media and there has been no public correction of the many unlocked reports. Although the unlocked door shocks me because I am a door locker that doesn’t mean the same circumstance might not shock people who aren’t as cautious in that respect. Regardless, I give the McCanns the benefit of the doubt that they felt comfortable in the environment at the time thinking their space was safe. The lack of information or reporting about the McCann friends is a little suspicious to me. Knowing the McCann friends had access to the apartment how do they avoid serious scrutiny? Could a McCann friend have been involved such as, for example, drugging Madeleine before someone carried her away? Isn’t it always wise to look at the people who are known to have been in the picture? There are the Murat leaks but no leaks on people who are known to have been in the apartment?
Most of the time people figure the police know a lot more and they do. At the same time check the statistics about abducted children and it might seem a good idea to post new ideas about ways to obtain information about Madeleine. As of now the huge reward, police work both UK and Portugal, public attention, huge media campaign, but no Madeliene. If the police don’t solve all cases then obviously the public might help by coming up with new ideas????? That is the only way I can think most of the public might help find Madeliene unless someone spots her on the next trip to the grocery. Just a thought.

Mccann supporters will argue of course,

Why would I believe anyone who intentionally put their children in jeopardy, then say, ‘at most, we were naive’?
Point me to evidence where Robert Murat has done anything as potentially deadly serious.

If Murat was guilty or even highly suspected of kidnapping Maddy, the PJ would have him in custody now. They surely would NOT allow him to keep his passport. We may never know the truth. One thing IS known: Maddy’s parents left her night after night to wine and dine with their friends. Friends, I may add, who allegedly left their own kids to fend for themselves, as well. The Tapas 9 would love the world to think Murat is guilty. They’re so arrogant they think by calling him a ‘liar’ the public will believe them.
Why would I believe anyone who would believe anyone who put their children in jeopardy?
I wouldn’t.
Meanwhile, Kate and Gerry continue to market their daughter who is now merely a tool for earning them money. He ll, it’s not even ‘earned’ money, unless you define globe trotting and partaking in recreational activities “work”.

This web site is rubbish.
The image of the car hire receipt and the fact that Murat gave an address in England is well known and old news available from early on in the investigation.
Don’t bother with this web site. It claims to report on how the tabloids report on stories but on the Madeleine story it is actually more sensationalist than the tabloids.
Read something else.

If everyone who posts offers one thought about a way to obtain more information about Madeleine something constructive could develop.
The only thing I can think of for now is to ask that any person who knows someone who could have possibly been in that area at the time of Madeleine’s abduction, or just missing for a while, and there has been anything unusual about the person or the circumstances or you have an instinct of any kind that has caused you to suspect the person, report what you have observed. You could be right.

I think there is something Fishy about Mr Murat, his so called alibi’s are all over the place, I am from South Africa and we have a lot of crime here so we are very aware of people and the lies they tell, as far as I am concerned there is seldomn smoke without fire. If Mr Murat is reading this and if he did abduct young Madeleine McCaan Please let her go back to her family because that is where little children belong, with their family. Our prayers are with the McCaan Family..
