Is it the guy who won or the Camelot spokesman who can't do the math!? If the guy had bought just one ticket then he would have had a one quarter share of £2.4m, which is £600,000. He instead bought two tickets and so received a two fifths share of £2.4m, which is £960,000. So he didn't "double his money" but increased his winnings by 60%. If he had bought two tickets, and they had been the only winning tickets, then I suppose the same Camelot spokesman would have again said he had doubled his money! Doh!!
