THE Labour party has approached agencies to pitch for its advertising account as it gears up for a possible general election campaign.

Cabinet minister Douglas Alexander, Gordon Brown’s general election coordinator, is understood to be whittling down a shortlist of agencies to bid for the business, writes the Guardian.
