Matt Drudge’s Casualty Is The Mail’s Fictional Terror Attack

by | 20th, August 2007

casualty.jpg THE Drudge Report, the online vehicle of Matt Drudge, highlights many stories from our own Daily Mail.

Today, Drudge tells us: “BBC drops fictional terror attack to avoid offending Muslims…”

We click the link. And we learn: “The BBC has dropped plans to show a fictional terror attack in an episode of Casualty to avoid offending Muslims.

“The first show of the hospital drama’s new series was to have featured a storyline about an explosion caused by Islamic extremists.”

But now the show watched by an audience of the institutionalised unable to turn over the communal TV and people who don’t go out on a Saturday night (not even to get a video or prescription drugs) has changed the plot.

Why? Because it’s a rubbish plot and all the Muslim actors are starring in Jihad: The Musical ? Because Casualty is what passes for entertainment and made up as it goes along? Because the audience can turn over and watch real Muslim nutters crashing into Glasgow Airport and a tribute to the victims of 7/7?

Maybe. But we are encouraged to think it is because political correctness has gone mad
