“A Scent Of Corpse”: Camilla Shafted For Princess Diana Memorial Do
YOU might be forgiven for thinking that there are better ways of spending a bank holiday Monday than reading a pile of newspapers.
In fact, you would definitely be forgiven. And we here at Anorak should know – we read ’em all, so that you don’t have to.
Reading this morning’s papers is like walking into a party full of very boring people all discussing the same very boring subject.
And that subject is Camilla’s decision not to attend the memorial service for Princess Diana.
The consensus is that Camilla has done the decent thing – but only after a certain amount of persuasion.
“Camilla not to join Diana ceremony” reports the Guardian, while The Times records “Camilla’s change of heart about Diana service”.
“Duchess bows to pressure from princess’s friends,” declares the Telegraph.
“CAMILLA PULLS OUT ON QUEEN’S ADVICE,” announces the Mail.
“Hate mail fury forces Camilla out,” claims the Sun.
“ABOUT TIME TOO, MA’AM,” huffs the Mirror.

Only two papers fail to give the duchess a front-page berth.
There’s no room at the Star, what with Man United, Chanelle and Dannii (of whom more later). Meanwhile the Independent, which once boasted that it refused to indulge in stories about royalty, gives an equally sober report on page 14 – three pages after its double-page feature “LIVING IN THE SHADOW OF DIANA.”
The Keys To The Mystery
This leaves the Express, which can usually be found in a corner, muttering darkly about how Diana was murdered. Ah, there it is, with its front page poking out from behind the Racing Post. There’s a picture of Camilla, and the end of a headline: ‘…car keys had the ‘scent of corpse’”. No, surely not. They can’t be suggesting that she…
Indeed not. The fully exposed page reveals all. The portrait of the duchess is accompanied by a small and discreet caption: “Camilla will NOT attend Diana memorial service.”
So what’s all this about car keys? Oh, just a tastefully restrained front-page mention of “new slurs” about Madeleine McCann’s parents. These, the paper complains, are ‘the latest in a long line of lurid and hurtful stories’. All of which, you can rest assured, will be dutifully repeated in “THE WORLD’S GREATEST NEWSPAPER”.

To Tuscany,Yes I am amazed too.I do hope they can crack the deleted files on the computers.He seems like a logical suspect for Madeleine if he was truely in Portugal at that time. I wonder if he is part of a ” kidnap ring”?A really scarey man. So strange there is nothing more about the other guy who got shot by Von Aesch in the woods.Hopefully they are checking Von Aeschs’ DNA against that unknown DNA they found in the Mccann apartment …also that the Mccanns are aware of Von Aesch and his profile…
Let me know too if you find out any more.There is one more current article about Von Aesch and 8 other little children that dissappeared in the 80’s in Switzerland before he moved to Spain; I will try to post it later on.The Swiss are checking on those old cases now and have found several connections. He served time in prison in the early 70s for extortion for threatening to abduct a little boy if his parents didnt pay up.A total creep if there ever was one.

To Rose: Here on a local news show (Phoenix) they demonstrated a computer expert who was able to recover “deleted” files from a computer hard drive. Even though a suspect in a child abuse case thought he had removed evidence from his computer, it was in fact still on the hard drive in some form. I am just amazed that we don’t know more about the search for the little Swiss girl.

ST. GALLEN, Switzerland: Investigators have found evidence that a kidnapped 5-year-old girl almost certainly was in the van of her alleged abductor, police said Friday.
Police had already found DNA traces of Urs Hans Von Aesch on the bicycle helmet, backpack and scooter of the girl, Ylenia Lenhard, who disappeared July 31 in Appenzell, eastern Switzerland. Von Aesch, a 67-year-old Swiss citizen, killed himself with a gunshot in the head in nearby woods later that day.
“On the basis of the DNA test we can assume with probability bordering on certainty that Ylenia had been in Von Aesch’s van,” said a statement by the St. Gallen cantonal (state) police.
Police have failed to find the girl despite extensive, painstaking searches over a wide area.
The statement said the Swiss police had received evidence confiscated by Spanish police from the house in Benimantell, Spain, where Von Aesch had been living since 1990.

Police said the evidence would now be analyzed, but they refused to say what it consisted of.
Police spokesman Hans Eggenberger refused to comment on media reports that some of the evidence included signs that Von Aesch’s computer had been used to view child pornography sites.

To Tuscany;I too have been trying to follow the Urs Von Aesch news here in California. I have a couple of news articles that have been poorly translated from the Spanish and German news.I will try to put them on here. Apparently the Spanish police sent a profiler to Aesch’s home. They found Kiddie porn on his computer and many pics of little girls. Also dead animals preseved in glass jars??Yech!They have sent the info and his computer to the Swsiss police to examine. There is no sign of Ylenia yet. Also no word on the guy who got shot in the forest supposedly by Von Aesch and if he has said anything relevant to Yelenia.

BENIMANTELL (Spain) - nine days need the Spanish investigators. Then they cracked from Aeschs computer. Now is proven: Also in the Internet the Ylenia kidnapper hunted small children.
Normally hand the specialists until two days, in order to secure data. In the house of Urs Hans (67) and Vreni of Aesch (58) the Guardia civil several computers and disks seized. But many of the data were deleted. The experts must make it again readable only.

I have seen no more news of the little Swiss girl who is presumed to have been abducted by the Swiss pedophile who later killed himself. Was a connection ever established between the Swiss man, who lived in Spain and was on vacation in the Algarve, and Madeleine’s abduction? It seems so odd that I read nothing of little Yllania (I think that was her name), I am just as worried about her as I am about Madeleine. I’d be very interested to read what other Anorak posters think - regards from Arizona

If Pat comes on here later I wish to pass on this message, on other forums when I said “time to go now and hand over to Pat” I meant that I am an hour in front of UK and usually log off at about 5, Pat you are obviously in USA so as I go off you come on. and believe it or not, I enjoy reading your posts the next day. i think you have some real valid points and I look forward to them. I also get too involved and often end up in tears over news stories, this forum is very slow today, because I sense the focus is shifting…..

does anyone get the feeling that this story is wearing a bit thin at the moment, the papers having nothing really to report so they are now making huge mountains out of tiny scraps of any information, I mean really, is this necessary. what if the car had groceries in it, like meat and stuff, wouldnt that class as dead !!
