Madeleine McCann: Call Off The Dogs, Kate McCann’s Tears And Fatima

Gerry and Kate McCann have consulted lawyers working on behalf of Eugene Zapata in Madison, Wisconsin.
In October 1976, Zapata’s wife, Jeanette, went missing. Her body has never been found. Last year sniffer dogs were brought in and Zapata was charged with her murder. The case went before Judge Patrick Fielder who said the evidence – dogs had picked up the scent of a corpse in Zapata’s basement – was inadmissible. He said the dogs were unreliable.
The dogs have yet to make a comment.
DAILY MIRROR front page: “MADDY JUDGE: LET ME TELL ALL.”
Pedro Daniel dos Anjos Frias wants to “speak freely” about the case.
Pages 6 and 7: “Mum’s tears at 11am Mass.” Once again the Mirror is all eyes for Kate McCann’s eyes. She is crying.
In church, Father Keith Tomlinson narrates the parable of the Prodigal Son. An eight-year-old child called Molly Earp reads “Jesus please continue to love and protect us, until she is found.”
And then Jesus can have a rest and the police can resume normal duties…
Pages 8 and 9: “On the beach Gerry gave Maddy loads of hugs and kisses, he was a perfect dad..The next time I saw him was about midnight..I saw a man alone, desperate. He was crying and screaming her name over and over and over again.” Words from a “WAITER AT MADDIE’S LAST MEAL” before she vanished.
THE SUN front page: “Maddie ‘gag’ lift.” Friends of Kate and Gerry McCann are hopeful of being allowed to speak out and defend themselves. A judge has asked for a lifting of Portugal’s secrecy laws.
Pages 6 and 7: “AGONY TO COME.” The Sun produces a picture of Kate and Gerry McCann’s wedding day. They are holding Kate’s goddaughter Ellie. There is also a new picture of Madeleine McCann “looking angelic”. Have you seen her? Or are you watching the parents?
THE EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE. POLICE TO SEARCH SHRINE FOR BODY.” The McCanns went to Fatima. The McCanns car clocked up 1,709 miles in the fives weeks after their daughter went missing.
THE WORLD’S GREATEST NEWSPAPER Pages 2 and 3: “Hand in hand, McCanns go to family church.” The “devoutly Catholic couple” are leaving for church from their “£600,000 home”. Kate McCann is carrying Cuddle Cat.
Pages 4 and 5: “1,000 letters each day in support of the McCanns. Between 500 and 1,000 letters a day arrive at the McCanns’ home. “There are some crank letters,” says a spokesman for the family, “but that’s inevitable.”
None of these letters are believed to point to the whereabouts of Madeleine McCann.
Alex Cayles, a former neighbour of the McCanns, says “I never heard Kate or Gerry raise their voices to their children or anyone else.” Can the same be said of any parents of three very young children?

DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE MUM ON MURDER RAP. Now cops claim to have found ‘a motive’.”
The Star says police have read Kate McCann’s diary and “claim it reveals she had a motive to kill”.
Pages 4 and 5: “DID KATE HAVE A MOTIVE?”
Well, we haven’t read the diary, but…
“The idea that Portuguese detectives are looking at my daughter’s most personal thoughts and taking them out of context is terrible,” says Kate McCann’s father Brian Healy.
Pages 6 and 7: “HUNT AT HOLY SHRINE.” Is Madeleine McCann’s body buried at Fatima, one of the Catholic Church’s holiest sites? The Star says the couple went there three weeks after their daughter went missing.
We wonder. Is she? Or is she buried in Germany, America, London or Morocco, places also visited by the McCanns?
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “New allegations against McCanns - As the McCanns begin a new campaign to clear their names, further allegations emerged over the weekend.”
Oh?
“The hire car: The Renault Scenic hired by the McCanns 25 days after Madeleine went missing. New claims centre on its high mileage. Between May 27 and July 3, it was driven 1,700 miles, with police looking into the possibility that it may have been used to dispose of a body…There were also reports that detectives were waiting for permission from a judge to seize and dismantle the car to search for ‘traces of skin’.”

the point is …if one of you’re kids is abducted [as you alleged] having your fkg hand kissed by the pope is the last thing on your mind…..
or had you convienently forgotten something…. mad mccgerry and his gorgreous wife left their 3 kids [all under the age of 4] in an unlocked room in a foreign country whilst they went out on the piss…. in my book that means they should get off their pretty arses and get down to some proper redemption… if they had put as much effort into find their child as they have in finding their high hitting pr guru then perhaps they’d have their daughter back alive by now……assuming of course she was abducted in the first place…

If I hear one more person on this site say that their kid looks or looked like Madeleine, I’m going to screaming bloody muyder!!
She was a very cute, sweet looking and a very plain and ordinary little girl. Small for today’s standards, because kids today are bigger than ever, but not really extraordinary in any other way in the looks department (other than the dripping eye - colomba).
Ylenia was very cute too - a few years older - but no less sweet and cute.
I understand the need for humans to protect the weaker and smaller - it’s a natural instinct and falls under “survival of the fittest”. But even if Madeleiene was bigger or not a cute kid, she along with every child deserves the same level of sympathy and protection as the next.
I have pictures of me when I was a 3 - 4 year old. I also look a bit like Madeleine. And so do and did many kids in the world today. So who knows, maybe that’s part of the “attraction” to this case; maybe we are somehow identifying with Madeleine in that we know someone or have met kids that look a bit similar to her. There’s a level of empathy resonating throughout this case, that I don’t hear for the Ylenia case. But when you come right down to it, if you believe that Madeleine died of an accidental overdose while she slept., there’s no question, that Ylenia suffered the greatest pain in her last minutes. The unimaginable type of death that no one, let alone a child, should ever have to endure.
Today, my heart mourns and bleeds for Ylenia. And for the innocence lost.

I do not understand all this talk of the parents having to go looking personally.
If Madeleine has been abducted, she would likely be kept inside a building, locked in a room (or worse), not paraded about the streets in the back of a truck for all to see, gaily waving.
Over 400 million people in the EU - how many buildings? If they split up and each of them were to go peer in the windows of as many buildings as they could each day, and they each lived to be a hundred, how much of the EU do you think they could cover before they died?
Get real.
Do you happen to remember where Marc Dutroux kept those poor girls? Or where Natascha Kampusch was held?
Have you forgotten the twins? I doubt a lifetime of mum and dad absent because they were peering in peoples windows would be best for them.

Kate mcCann will probably be reinterviewed soon. By having it done in Britain by the British police, the essence of the Portuguese investigation is revealed to the British police - something that should help to assess the reliability and integrity of the Portuguese police. What more openness can you ask for? That may be a lift for the much critizised Portugeuse police. Furthermore, now they don’t have to wait and fight possible extradiction protests but have the questioning done promptly.
Do you think the local Leicesterhire police has integrity to stay neutral in interrogating KM, despite the facts that the mcCanns’ are their fellow villagers and very much supported by the British media, the locals and VIPs?

I love my husband very much but if my child went missing because he pursuaded me to leae them or visa versa by now i would have killed him and i am sure visa versa my husband me.

390 - thanks…it was horrendous to see the ex-wife scolding our toddler.
This is why I believe that it’s possible for Kate McCann to have a completely different personality to the one we see on TV. I saw my ex-wife manipulate people and I’m not saying that the McCann family are lying about Kate but if they aren’t living with the McCann’s in their home everyday then they can only describe them from the visits they make there from time to time.
Likewise, living with someone is not the same as visiting with them. I don’t think the McCann family are covering up for them. I think they’re just commenting from what they know.

Secondly, it doesn’t matter that I am not an undercover agent I know how to get things done either professionally in a smart business way or in a street sense. It is not difficult to put the word out that you want:
Drugs
Sex
Guns
Cheap Domestic Labor
It’s not that difficult to engage the exploitation of human beings machine. I saw it when I was in Spain & I saw it in the Phillipines. I have not yet seen it where I live now but I know it is here. Mostly from Eastern Europe.
I don’t know if I would be successful but I would certainly try very very hard to locate my kind on my own & with the assistance of PI’s (please do not site Portuguese Law - that is not only a weak excuse but is ridiculous considerng they broke the law leaving their kids unattended in the 1st place). I would not be jogging on the beach, writing a blog, selling morgue-ID bracelets with daughter’s name on them. IN fact, I wouldn’t even trademark my daughter’s name nor her unusual eyes.
Give me a freak’n break Seymour Laws. Isn’t there another holy day coming up soon?

I thought I saw a little girl that might have been Maddie in June….my husband held me back when I tried to go and grab her……When I put my glasses on so I could see better, it wasn’t her. I can see but just NOT across a distance of more than about 4 foot, and she was on the other side of the road.
I am afraid I am rather impulsive like that……leap before I think!

My youngest looks very like MM - that was what initiated my interest.
Be sensible, if you saw my daughter with me, or my wife, or one of the nannies would you really grap her. If you did, would that not alarm my daughter and her carers - and earn my approbation in the unlikely event that I was present

I am on the other end of the spectrum, would love more kids but hubby said he would leave me! Too old for all the sleepless nights now. I have a 3 year old, very much doted on….also have a 2 year old, only a year and 2 days between them. Had PND but never ever felt like hurting them, if anything, was suspicious of everyone else….eg was the Health Visitor a paedo who only wanted to touch them for her own gratification…..did they have a temperature, was it meningitis? Luckily, the Dr was great and picked it up. Needless to say, the Health Visitor was NOT a paedo and the temperature was NOT meningitis (was teething!).

Can’t remember the details but a Spanish father went underground to find his teenage daughter who had got involved in the drug scene. It took him around two years I think, but he found her.
