Pages 4 and 5: “Kidnap? We just don’t; believe it.” It is reported in Portugal that an unnamed Irishman has come forward to say he was in the same place as the McCanns’ friend Jane Tanner. She told police she had seen a man carrying child dashing from the Ocean Club resort in the direction of Robert Murat’s home. The new witness says he saw no-one.

(146) And, if you remember, at one point, the McCanns said they believed her to be in Spain and, lo and behold, two days later there was a “sighting” in Murcia.
What I can’t understand is how they can criticise the PJ so much for supposedly not doing nothing when their team of private detectives has been working since May and hasn’t found anything either. And I imagine that private detectives can work with many less restrictions than the PJ and, in practice, can operate in any country they want.

Re the Moroccan sightings- why would an abductor with a child want to be anywhere near the Ibis Marrakech -inside or ouside the lobby? - Too much chance of being spotted by foreign tourists, possible CCTV, police presence.

I don’t think much credence can be given to the supposed sightings in Morrocco. Such reports surface whenever a missing child is heavily publicised. In the Sara Payne and Soham cases, well-meaning members of the public came forward with detailed accounts of sightings which proved to be totally unfounded. Whatever the witness heard, or thought she heard, could have an innocent explanation. Truthfully, one little blonde girl looks much like another. I fear the child must be dead for none of the abduction scenarios make sense. Child trafficking? We know children from the third world are smuggled into Europe to join relatives or for domestic slavery but I have never heard of it happening the other way round. A rich childless couple stealing a child to order? Such people would simply adopt an East European orphan. A paedophile ring? Such things exist but they are usually small groups of like-minded offenders who have befriended each other, not huge international conspiracies. Underage prostitution usually involves teenage runaways and where younger children are exploited I’m afraid to say that the perpetrators are usually parents, guardians or ‘friends of the family’.

if that stories untrue and it changes daily
they are guilty for perverting the course
so whatever they did they’re guilty
their actions led to madeleines disapearance one way or another and should be made answerable
its up to us if we want to speculate
If they dont want us to, they shouldnt shove more additions and public appearances down our throats daily!!!!!!!!!!!!

My belief is that all so called anti mccanners on this site would rather be proved wrong. But, pro mccanns have to live with the fact they are condoning a couple who had they not neglected their children in the first place would still have their daughter, and none of us would be discussing it in the first place. I would feel a tad better about th mccanns if they publicly admitted their neglect and showed guilt and remorse. all the time they are coming across as the victims I cannot change my opinion. the only victim in this is madeleine. and may I add, why are you wasting time on this forum if you are so utterly convinced the parents are innocent in all this, why are you not out looking for madeleine yourself if you think she is still alive?

The PJ got onto Murat because a female UK journalist said she was suspicious of him because of things he said to her and what she thought was very odd behaviour. The 9 were not the source of the original finger pointing.

You describe the SAS as famous for doing dirty jobs. As I see it the SAS are a truly admirable group of people who serve their country like few others. Their heroism, sacrifice and courage are legendary and admired world wide. To belittle them with a description that implies moral corruption and general unsavory behaviour is disgusting.
Once again, an anti-McCann campaigner, frothing at the mouth with indignation, questions the integrity, worth and character of people who lend their support or assistance to the McCanns. Everybody who helps them is evil spawn of the devil.
This utterly derogatory drivel shows very clearly how unbalanced your whole viewpoint is.

I hope all you peope who “know” the McCanns are guilty will stand up and say “I was wrong” if and when the moment comes. You don’t “know” anything and neither do I. You can suspect, but you can’t “know”. Everytime you spew out your hatered of this couple you make yourselves look like idiots, and idiots that can’t spell either. Were you there? ok, why dont the mccanns just open up and spill the beans on everything they know. They say they cannot speak out due to portugese law, well fine, thats up to them, but, im sure more people would be on their side if they were just plain honest with us. not only that, im sure they can easily now afford to pay legal fees and get off lightly for speaking out if anything did come of it. i personally would rather take the rap for speaking out, and get on with looking for my daughter, than let the ’sources close to them’ keep the spin going.

It is no good coming into this forum and trying to deflect attention away from the Tapas 9 to the Mirror journo for pointing at Murat.
The Express link posted above tells us that the police were looking at Murat already because of the Tapas 9’s (now disputed) statements.
Try another forum where people don’t keep an eye on things.

The cash sloshing around is insane.. why the most expensive team if innocent? The maelstrom in which these people find themselves in cannot have been dreamt up by themselves, alone. It is the work of the imbeciles around them that do not look further than self-promotion. There is no end to the expansion of the clan, with backers that I thought would know better?? Do they have advisers?
Their can be no fact more clear than the ongoing suspicion of the PJ that these people are involved in a cover up.
I trust the PJ.
If I were the accused, I would sit tight, safe in the knowledge that I was innocent of any crime.
My opinion, is that the father may be the real aggressor.
