Madeleine McCann: Robert Murat Innocent, Private Detectives & Kate McCann’s Hot Lips
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann.
DAILY MIRROR front page: “WE’LL FIND HER OURSELVES. Maddy parents bring in SAS private detectives”.
Kate and Gerry McCann have hired Control Risk Group, billed as a “crack security firm”, to find their daughter.
Page 5: “THE PROFESSIONALS” – There’s TV show in this. The Portuguese police could be the Keystone Cops, at least that’s what the tabloid press portrays them as.
“Millionaire ex-double glazing boss” is the mystery benefactor paying McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell’s wages. The former window cleaner owns Sale Sharks ruby union club. Look out for their new sponsor.
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE. ‘McCanns ARE LYING’ - Portuguese police says friends are in cover-up.”
Robert Murat is to be told he will not face charges. Kate and Gerry McCann will be the only named suspects.
“SMILING” – The WORLD’S GREATEST NEWSPAPERS leads with a picture of Kate McCann grinning.
Pages 4 and 5: “Kidnap? We just don’t; believe it.” It is reported in Portugal that an unnamed Irishman has come forward to say he was in the same place as the McCanns’ friend Jane Tanner. She told police she had seen a man carrying child dashing from the Ocean Club resort in the direction of Robert Murat’s home. The new witness says he saw no-one.
“’GUILT’ OF PARENTS - More than 60 per cent think the couple know what has happened to Madeleine.”
“WHEN KATE WAS HOT LIPS HEALEY” – 15 YEARS AGO Kate was nicknamed hot lips for her resemblance to Loretta Swit in TV comedy M*A*S*H. The Express has seen her Dundee University year book and the comments - “Kate was great fun”; “renowned for alcoholic binges and some ‘dance till you drop’ nocturnal activities”; “she was certainly more interested in going to the pub than she was in her studies” etc.
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE: PARENTS ARE LYING. Cops say McCanns & friends tried to frame suspect Murat.”
Pages 4 and 5: “McCANNS ‘ARE LYING’.”
A phone poll: “DO YOU BELIEVE THE McCANNS ARE LYING?” Let’s see if we can top that 60 per cent in the Star’s sister paper the Daily Express. Vote now and vote often.
THE SUN pages 12 and 13: “TWIN’S LIFT FOR MUM AND DAD.”
Kate and Gerry McCann are with son Sean. They have been to Mass. Kate sobs when Ave Maria is sung. Daughter Amelie is in nursery school. She is plying with the Cuddle Cat. She bursts into laughter, “her giggles rang around the building”.
DAILY MAIL front page: “Madeleine:
• Ex-SAS team joins hunt
• New sighting in Morocco
• Kate breaks down in church
• Police accused over forensics”
Page 8: “McCanns hire an ex-SAS team to hunt for Maddie.”
“Second witness supports sighting in Morocco” – Remember when Marl Pollard said she saw Madeleine in Morocco? Now we lean that a man also saw Madeleine in Morocco.
THE INDEPENDENT PAGE 17: “Murat no longer suspect.”
DAILY TELEGRAPH page 10: “McCanns hired detective firm with ex-SAS men”. Under Portuguese law, the McCanns are not permitted to carry out their own investigation in Portugal. But they can investigate in other countries.
THE TIMES front page: “McCann investigators” – McCanns hire private security firm.
Pages 12 and 13: “How they managed to turn campaign around.” The McCanns are “winning the propaganda war”. They have gone on the “offensive”.
A family source says: “It is for the police to prove they are guilty.”
GUARDIAN: No Madeleine news today.

(201) Moderation.
We are talking about the beginning of May. There may not have been that many other holidaymakers there. And I do not believe that many people leave such small children alone while they go out boozing. They were toddlers, not 9 or 10 year olds.

We already know the McCanns ARE guilty of child neglect. When will a McCann supporter come out and chastise them for that aspect?
Unfortunately we live in a world with too many bad parents. Even 40 years ago you wouldn’t have left 3 toddlers alone in a room to go out socialising.
Gerry and Kate didn’t make a bad judgement - they played Russian Roulette with 3 babies’ lives.

Typing skills are not the issue and do not lead to neligence when looking after children. Some people are very picky, probably to steer others away from the real issues.
No wonder they support the McCanns they have a lot in common with them.
The truth, the truth, anything but the truth.

202 Stand up in an anonymous forum and say “I was wrong”, who could bear the shame of it

i cant help thinking of a post i read earlier today on the other forum, someone suggested that it should be declared madeleine had been found. wow, can you imagine the look on G & K’s faces, would it be grins from ear to ear or complete shock?

I disagree.
There are some things - very little, I agree - that we can see with our own eyes. Like Madeleine falling over on the plane steps for instance. The idiots go and spin that crazy story about Madeleine bleeding onto her shoe from that. This is the kind of stuff that is indisputable. Unless you actually look at that clip yourself, you could easily go on what the papers say because the papers showed stills from that video and without running it, you wouldn’t know the impact from the fall was too slight to be significant.

“the supercilious and condescending nature displayed by a few of the posters here” says far more about those who adopt this attitude than about those they are criticising. Supercilious and condescending are not pleasant characteristics at the best of times.

I dont think the government have any direct benefit/loss from the Madeleine case.
What they do have is favours being called on by their supporters/donors on whom they rely.

I hope all you peope who “know” the McCanns are guilty will stand up and say “I was wrong” if and when the moment comes.
i hope the reverse applies as well.

Judge Dread said……The only possible answer can be that they themselves do it, and its a case of ‘There but for the grace of God go I’.
I think you are absolutely right there. I’ve said before, every day of the year, the package holiday hotels in Spain and Portugal are a seething mass of parents in the bar while their kids are in the hotel room. All ages. All hours.
Its done and its acceptable, hence the deafening silence from Mark Warner who promote their resorts are child friendly and safe but aren’t really.
Also why there no witnesses from other holidaymakers who were there at the same time because the chances are most of them had left their children!

Julia Hobsahwn did more than introduce Sarah to Gordie, they had a PR company together Hobsahwn & McCauley (those two spellings might be slightly wrong). The points raised in an earlier post - I’ve scrolled back but can’t now find it - about this government/stinking rich people/media involvement is one I raised late last night (or very early this morning - 2-am to be precise). I find the government’s HIGH PROFILE involvement with Mitchell being seconded to the McCanns from almost the first moment, and Brown sticking his neck right out - also the Labour favourite Branson– and wait for Sainsbury to say he’s in it too — the most disturbing and alarming thing of all.
Formerly, when governments wanted to manipulate events they did it behind the scenes, cloak and dagger: did he fall, was he pushed sort of thing. But this time they’re brazenly out there somehow challenging us, the mere public, to dispute whatever it is they are putting across using the McCanns as their tools. Either the trail leads back to them somehow or they are, as someone in an earlier posting says and I think too, using this case as a test case to see how gullible and able to be manipulated (because fed on a ‘diet’ of celebrity for so long) people actually are. If they get away with this, be afraid, be very afraid!

HEY!!!!!
Notice how the grandparents actually show emotion in that clip? The grandmother starts welling up and her voice quivers. That’s EXACTLY what has been missing from the parents.
Also notice how the grandparents are different in the way they show emotion.
Gerry and Kate are too well rehearsed and emotionless.

“Of course, if Madeleine is found dead or alive and it is 100% proven that someone else other than the parents did it or had anything to do with it, we’d all hold our hands up. But you know what? It still wouldn’t explain why the McCanns are so obstructive and weird.”
Sums up my feeiings entirely.

————————————————————————-
The problem is, there is not much evidence that is indisputable - cue for an avalanche of assertion and speculation to be presented as incontravertable truth

The Mccons story is discredted by the fact that on June 25th Gerry Mccon publicly came out insisting that they wanted no more press attention and were going to conduct the campaign from behind close doors.
Search up his interview any of you on that date.
He may well have said “We’ve succeeeded in passing off the abduction smokescreen, so now leave us alone so this Madeleine story can fizzle away and we can get back to normal without being charged.”

I agree, I would be just so happy if Madeleine was found alive and well.
But the bizarre claims, changed stories and inconsistencies somehow keep reminding me of the fading possibiliy of that happening.
September 24th, 2007 at 1:17 pm
It would actually appear to me that the most aggresive and intransigent are they who believe an abduction took place. Admittedly there are posters who have created some rather far-fetched ideas, but there is no need for the supercilious and condescending nature displayed by a few of the posters here.
The vehement justification of leaving young children due to the probability of risk is strange. In general, I agree that the public should understand risk properly, but neglect should not be reduced to a cold calculus of probability. This is an ethical issue; one that also must include complex long-term, unquantifiable things such as psychological well-being.
The abduction theory is possible, but it currently is just a theory - not a fact. Surely the abduction theorists must admit there is, however remote, a probability that the parents were involved, or at least an abduction did not take place. Don’t some of the strange stories and behaviours make you at least question the parents or their friends?

Usually I do. In fact, that’s why I like to look for evidence that is indisputable and will never copy links to The Sun or the Daily Express to support my own opinions or theories. Unfortunately, McCann fans do that all the time and accept it as gospel.
September 24th, 2007 at 1:16 pm
I think that all this analysis of body language is a bit fruitless, and should not be given too much wait. But I just noticed something in
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0HiiDuP5yU&mode=related&search=
which was interesting.
In the first interview, look at Kate’s breathing (she doesn’t speak). From her chest movements she is breathing very deeply and very quickly. Sh is obviously very very worked up perhaps even on the edge of a panic.
I don’t know what, if anything, this suggests. I’m sure it could be argued either way. Maybe this was one of their first interviews, before they became more accustomed to speaking with the press ?
Involved or not involved, it’s a nightmare for everyone.
But I cannot forget her saying of the child neglect to go boozing “It felt so right”. What a message for other parents !

No you’re right Judith I wasnt there neither was Kate and Gerry in the best case scenario I call that abandoned children this is self evident in the ‘official’ account given to the PJ to investigate.

The McCann supporters have blinkers on - much like the guy who can’t spell and says we’re all McCann haters.
It’s not about hate. It’s about justice. For some bizarre reason, the McCann supporters don’t like to be confronted with inconsistencies and they smoke screen or gloss over simple questions about all aspects of the disappearance.
Of course, if Madeleine is found dead or alive and it is 100% proven that someone else other than the parents did it or had anything to do with it, we’d all hold our hands up. But you know what? It still wouldn’t explain why the McCanns are so obstructive and weird. That’s why people like me dislike them and their spin.
Plus, they are guilty of child neglect and that will never alter.

so…. they took a police handbook with them to get an idea about how to kill their daughter and then left it for the police to find?? with or without the scent of death?
Rumour in Praia is that it is either a Patricia Cornwell or Cathy Reichs novel.

Yes, but what about the video? You’re a supporter so give us a reason why the McCanns would say Madeleine bled on her shoe after that “fall”.
I mean…that fall was so bad, you’d expect her to require a blood transfusion wouldn’t you?

The claim that SAS, God, Superman or whoever were “hired in May” is not attributed to anyone and it is another of these lies from “a source close to the family” or “a friend who does not want to be named”.
Any the organisation themselves have not confirmed it either.
Separately
If the Mccans, as their PR egoist says, aer “encouraged” at ta possible credible sighting of Madeleine in Morrocco by 2 “independent” people, why arent they and their team on a plane to Morocco NOW to co-ordinate a search?
Or does Portugese law stop a British Citizen from travelling to Morocco and doing whatever they want in that sovereign country?
The Mccons inconsistency will never cease to amaze me!
