The likelihood of something happening to YOU is very different from the likelihood of it happening to just SOMEBODY. There are so very many MORE of the somebodies.
Which doesn’t stop us calculating that one thing may be much more likely than another, and acting accordingly.

REPLY: O’Brien’s and Tanner’s guilt in the cover-up of this crime, at least, is indicated by the following:
1) his being absent from the Tapas bar the whole evening until 9.55pm. What was he doing?
2) his excuse for being absent, ‘my child is sick’. Would he have gone down for an evening’s drinkig at 9.55pm if his child was unwell?
3) her obviously bogus story about a man seen carrying a bundle - then clarifying it with a more detailed recollection 2/3 weeks later.
I’m not sure I have any evidence that they are ‘a tad sinister’, and there’s no evidence I am aware of that pdfla was occurring

REPLY: As above. I maintain O’Brien and Tanner are very closely linked to Madeleine’s death and the subsequent cover-up. The actions of the rest of the Tapas 9 suggest they also know what happened and were complicit in supporting the false abduction story, but do not want to disclose the truth. I still believe that their ‘pact of silence’ means more than just not talking to the press. That could be: loyalty to a friend. Or it could be something darker about which we do not know. As somebody put it, what does Mccann have on Payne and Oldfield?
Incidentally, I note that despite the ‘pact of silence’, David Payne is willing to crawl out of the woodwork when Kate and Gerry snap their fingers 144 days after Madeleine has ‘disappeared’ and claim that he ’saw Madeleine being put to bed at around 7pm’. Maybe that was about the same time he suddenly remembered playing in ‘a social tennis event’.
I hope, Mr David Payne, that your claim of seeing Madeleine being put to bed at 7.00pm isn’t a lie to cover up the true circumstances of Madeleine’s death. Because that would be perverting the course of justice, wouldn’t it?

Please Stig, do we have to go through this again ? Yes, the risk of abduction is pretty miniscule. But the risk of waking up, becoming upset, harming themselves or each other is NOT miniscule. It probably 1000 times bigger, and it is THIS risk that justifies a charge of child neglect.

Does anyone here seriously think if their daughter went missing and they were innocent of involvement that all this would have blown up around them for no apparent reason? We all know that if we were hiding nothing then none of this would be possible whatsoever. One or two contradictions may be a coincidence but a hundred or more becomes highly suspicious. And that is being kind.

And exactly how do you know this information? Is it because you are part of the McCann team? Or are you just using a false story to try to bully people to shut up on this site?
