Madeleine McCann: A House Of Love, Find the Body & What Kate McCann Screamed
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann.
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE. ‘FIND BODY OR McCANNS WILL ESCAPE’ – Prosecutors ultimatum to Portuguese police.”
The case against Kate and Gerry McCanns is “hanging by a thread”.
A police sources says: “There is a determination within the force to bring this investigation to a satisfactory conclusion but there is a growing fear that without a body, that goal will be impossible.”
Pages 4 and 5: “Our reputation is tarnished forever” – Each day the McCanns prepare themselves for the “worst case scenario”. No, not that they will be wrongly convicted, rather they will learn of Madeleine’s death.
Clarence Mitchell says: “In the middle of this people forget this is still a family who are potentially facing bereavement but are still in that awful limbo position of not knowing what has happened to their daughter.” Thankfully Mr Mitchell is on hand to remind people of this every day.
“Doubts on the McCanns by a lie detector expert” – THE WORLD’S GREATEST NEWSPAPER asks John Ryan, of International Truth Verification Technologies Institute, to listen to Kate McCann’s voice. Says she: “However I think there is some sort of deception when I hear the lady speaking, either over the event or in avoiding showing her true feelings”.
DAILY MIRROR front page: “MADELEINE – find a body or there is no case.”
Page 5: “Gerry and Kate have often talked about the possibility of Madeleine being found dead. That would be the worst news but it would at least give them some..CLOSURE”. So says a “source close to the legal team”.
Antonio Cluny, President of the Public Prosecution Service, says: “Without the little girl’s body, everything is complicated… In the Maddy case, there is no confession and, according to what has been made public, the evidence gathered up until now keeps all leads open – from abduction to homicide or at least to a simple accident”.
DAILY MAIL front page: “EXCLUSIVE: Eyewitness reveals Maddie’s mother DID shout: ‘They’ve taken her’ after four-year-old vanished. WHAT KATE DID SCREAM.”
Nanny Charlotte Pennington is in Praia da Luz. She hears Kate McCann scream: “They’ve taken her, they’ve taken her!” The McCanns say Kate screamed “Madeleine’s gone”.
Sensation. Front-page news.
Page 4: “Nanny Pennington, who worked at the Ocean Club, is pictured. She’s wearing a brown beret and a pink coat. Her tights are black. Her legs are crossed.
“I was in the apartment less than five minutes after they found that Madeleine had gone. When we were coming out we saw Kate and she was screaming: ‘They’ve taken her, they’ve taken her’… It might not have been the first thing she said. But she definitely said it.”
So…
“She also repeated Madeleine’s name and said: ‘She’s gone, she’s gone.’”
Anyone hear anything else?
THE SUN page 24: “MADDIE LAW CHIEF: NO BODY, NO CASE.” Antonio Clunes says: “There have been cases in which it was possible to obtain a conviction without a victim – but there were confessions.”
But the McCanns are innocent, says a source. And they are not confessing. They are talking through their spokesperson.
DAILY STAR front page: “COPS CLOSE IN ON MADDIE. Final pieces of tragic jigsaw falling into place.”
Pages 4 and 5: “FIND THE BODY OR THEY WALK. Law bosses tell Portuguese cops to step up hunt.”
“TWINS’ HOUSE OF LOVE” – Clarence Mitchell says the McCanns have built a “house of love” for their family. Mr Mitchell says the McCanns are living “every parent’s worst nightmare times ten”. Mr Mitchell used to work for the tabloid press.
DAILY TELEGRAPH page 13: “Case against McCanns ‘rests on finding body’.”
Clarence Mitchell says: “They did not harm, let alone kill her.”
THE TIMES page 11: “No body, no conviction says McCann police.”
THE GUARDIAN & THE INDEPENDENT: No Madeleine news.

True. I think we’re all waiting on the bombshell news to reignite the speculation.
Meanwhile, for a laugh, check out gartut200 in Youtube and listen to his opinions on the McCanns and almost every other news topic.

Well, back to work then for me.

Opinion.? What do you think.!
I think this debate on Anorak has become a stale merry go round of repetition.Same old theories and speculations..whether it is doubters, Pros, or on the fence, posts.
Same old tried pompous non factual comments from the same old windbags x 2 pro Mcs with less evidence than anyone else .Now they are resorting to being pompous to the doubters for pass their tiresome days.
Any theory put forward here could potentially be true…however ALL of them could be far off the truth. That goes for the Pros,Doubters and On The Fencers .Though personally I doubt Murat is “in it” .But this too is speculation only going on fact Police must have checked CCTV and he has been cleared ( allegedly) but not with freedom to speak, lest he mess with investigation.( allegedly )
Trivia : Went to buy the Indie and glanced in those penny horrible gossips mags and one has “LOOK what 125 days of Sheer Hell has Done to Poor Kate…..” followed by 6 or so photos with dates on…..
Er..oops she looks better now than she did before the “event”,
Did they not notice.? Apparently not ! .
Moderation….I too went for dinner and Friday with partner and friends and could not put exact time to movements. However I can remember every second of time, and day up to point police and then hospital called me to tell me my late husband, at age 29 had been killed along with 4 others in a car crash. And that was 20 years ago.

It is 8:30 in the morning here. This is the best pary around. LOL
Maybe if Winky Dink wasn’t off trading life would be more lively?
Crab bisque for breakfast isn’t a bad start? NO.
All of the rest too easy compared to using the brain cells on here. Maybe that is it! Trying to figure out how to overcome mass corruption takes some thought!

343. Moderation, what subjects? I’m not interrogating, just curious, not much else to discuss today.
Are you a news hack or is it features?
September 25th, 2007 at 2:39 pm
Anyone know what I do about someone using Ade?
Obviously I didn’t write post 343 as it’s has been common knowledge that I fancy Liz in the Rovers.
Please administrator/moderator can you sort this out. Does anyone know how I can contact the moderator/administrator?
Admin:
Give me precise details of the posting which you say is counterfeit . Time and the immediate post before and after.

349 - ARSE
Mr Advice Merchant…
You were smart-arsed enough to tell me to use the Internet. Why don’t you use it yourself to correct your spellings then? Duh…
Anyway, isn’t it nearly time for your school bus? The short bus…
September 25th, 2007 at 2:37 pm
Sorry, a lot of distractions but I do have a question.
If there are more dna results due soon then how is it known or reported accurately that the McCanns will not be charged with anything?
September 25th, 2007 at 2:35 pm
336 - just_me
Same here. I’ve said in this forum several times that we’ll all hold our hands up and apologise if they are found 100% not guilty of the disappearance of their daughter. But the way the act and the lies are not helping them one bit. Also, I don’t know what percentage their overall guilt is but they are already guilty of gross child negligence and that will always leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Until the law and social services punish people like this, it only sends a message out to other parents to do the same thing. That’s one major problem in the UK today - there’s no role models or examples of how to raise children properly coming from the higher echelons of society.
A Royal dressed up as a Nazi, the Prime Minister’s son was found in a drunken stupor in Leicester Square in the early hours of the morning, two doctors leave their 3 toddlers alone in a room etc. etc.
Britain needs effective leadership in the basic qualities and sadly there’s nobody demonstrating how to do it properly. The answer in the UK today is to find a lawyer or PR team to paper over the cracks you created in the first place. It is a no-blame society instead of copping the blame fairly and squarely on the chin.
The McCanns make me sick because of their attitude.

My life is meaningless. Here day after day, my only human contact visits to the surgery for persistant headaches and RSI. Social life non-existent…only dreaming of a guest spot on Corrie as Gail’s new love interest. It has to stop.
I’ve had an epiphany…no more filling these pages with meaningless drivel to stifle intelligent comment - I’m going out in the world to spread the word and do good. Don’t weep for me - I was well paid.

It’s Ok, mate. A herd of google is like a group of searches. For example if you do a search of feck arse drink and girls all at once it’s called a “herd”. Loke a “pod” of dolphins.
With this particular herd (feck arse drink and girls) you’ll probably get a few reference to dougal (which, of course rhymes with google, but that is only a coincidence…).
I hope this clears everything up…
September 25th, 2007 at 2:30 pm
stevo, dont stress, everyone is bored so they are trying to start an argument, heated discussion with anyone / everyone. this IS the most boring day in the mccann case, something will happen, remember, the mccanns were made suspects and were staying indefinately in portugal, next minute they are pulling out of the villa at 6.30 am to catch a plane back to UK, the media have not looked back since, until now, nannies and missing vicars yawn
September 25th, 2007 at 2:30 pm
Spudgun said the dogs don’t lie. Some people do. After observing this case I think more people lie than I knew. Maybe at least one long term result will be learning if the UK does more lying than the Germans?
