The picture is “sensational”. It has been described as “convincing”, but by whom is not said.
Pages 4 and 5: “GERRY & KATE: IT COULD BE HER – MADDIE PARENTS HOPE AT SIGHTING SENSATION.”
Clara Torres is talking on Spanish radio. She looks at the photo. Says she: “It sent shivers down my spine.”
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “NOW A ‘PHOTO’ OF MADELEINE IN MOROCCO.”
‘Photo’ is placed in quotes lest readers mistake the picture for a ‘SNAP’ or a ‘SHOT’.
Spanish Government official Jose Herrero Arcas says: “The National Police received a photograph by email taken by a young Spanish couple who believe it shows Madeleine McCann. The quality of the photograph is not very clear and it was taken from around 200 metres away. However, the National Police are taking the claim seriously enough to have sent it on to their colleagues at Interpol. I cannot give any more information than that.”

A source close to the McCanns tells one and all: “The McCanns are not going to get their hopes up until the photograph has been sent for forensic examination.” And, dare it be said, a DNA test.
DAILY TELEGRAPH front page: “Is this Madeleine in Morocco?” The search for the missing child has taken a “dramatic turn”.
Page 9: “Gerry McCann is “confident” he and his wife will be cleared. A source tells us: “It is very unlikely that British police would question the McCanns on behalf of the Portuguese now.”
Robert Murat responds to claims by nanny Charlotte Pennington that on the night of Madeleine’s disappearance he was by the McCann family apartment: “I certainly was not there that night. At no point was I there.”

You do have a point, but if the priest had been sought for that reason and had performed that function, he has no obligation to secrecy or silence so could have gone straight to the Police, which I think he would have done.
I actually ’suspect’ the Times assertion that Kate asked for the priest within one hour of Madeleine’s disappearance my turn out to be inaccurate. I suppose it is always worth remembering that a lot of things are going through a stage of language translation so errors might creep in.

Ade here - Spent the day in deep thought with some old-friend musos (that’s musicians for McCannic saddos) How refreshing to be back to doing stuff that is rewarding, creative, truthful, with spirit and to produce something ready to be enjoyed afterwards.
In fact, how wonderful it is to be able to do something that is against every evil principle that the McConn team stand for. CREATIVITY.
I did this 5 day on-site stint (Ok 6 including Monday mainly off for a special guitar duet gig) on this site as a self-imposed penance of my choice to learn but I did not anticipate one little bit that my days here would be such an enjoyable eye-opener on the sad state of affairs we see before us. Nor did I expect it to be so addictive.
I have decided to use ammunition from here and beyond the banter here and to us it in quite different ways as output. The word Ade will not appear of course…
I shall be looking in from time to time to get ideas. DO NOT GIVE UP PLEASE…

KM being a devout Catholic would she be comfortable knowing her dead child was buried/hidden without having the last rites at least, or on consecrated ground.
What I’m getting at is IF they were responsible for her disappearance, I can’t imagine Kate allowing Maddie to be “disposed” of without some form of religious ritual. Surely to ask a priest to perform the last rights on the night of her disappearance would look suspicious, it would have to be performed by a priest on her burial.
Waffling a bit but can you imagine her letting Maddie be buried/disposed of without some form of catholic passing ritual? (not suggesting that this has somehting to do with Father P.)
Maybe KM is being patient, will go back at a later date and do the ritual, maybe they found a way to make it happen at the time of disposal.

It shows what she really looked like so I assume they only gave the press a blurred image to protect her rights - only now they are showing everyone - duh!
