THE SUN front page: “MOROCCO PHOTO SENSATION. IS THIS MADDIE?”
The picture is “sensational”. It has been described as “convincing”, but by whom is not said.
Pages 4 and 5: “GERRY & KATE: IT COULD BE HER – MADDIE PARENTS HOPE AT SIGHTING SENSATION.”
Clara Torres is talking on Spanish radio. She looks at the photo. Says she: “It sent shivers down my spine.”
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “NOW A ‘PHOTO’ OF MADELEINE IN MOROCCO.”
‘Photo’ is placed in quotes lest readers mistake the picture for a ‘SNAP’ or a ‘SHOT’.
Spanish Government official Jose Herrero Arcas says: “The National Police received a photograph by email taken by a young Spanish couple who believe it shows Madeleine McCann. The quality of the photograph is not very clear and it was taken from around 200 metres away. However, the National Police are taking the claim seriously enough to have sent it on to their colleagues at Interpol. I cannot give any more information than that.”

A source close to the McCanns tells one and all: “The McCanns are not going to get their hopes up until the photograph has been sent for forensic examination.” And, dare it be said, a DNA test.
DAILY TELEGRAPH front page: “Is this Madeleine in Morocco?” The search for the missing child has taken a “dramatic turn”.
Page 9: “Gerry McCann is “confident” he and his wife will be cleared. A source tells us: “It is very unlikely that British police would question the McCanns on behalf of the Portuguese now.”
Robert Murat responds to claims by nanny Charlotte Pennington that on the night of Madeleine’s disappearance he was by the McCann family apartment: “I certainly was not there that night. At no point was I there.”

Just to play devil’s advocate.
Maybe sedation was the norm and he knows that but it’s too contentious to admit to.
Hiding behind the bedroom stuff could be an honest reflection of his thinking post the event.
More likely it could be that he now senses that KM is a guilty party and he’s protecting his family, what’s left of it, his livelihood, and his friends.
I’m not claiming any of this as my fact thinking, just exploring the possibilities.

This is a possible murder case. A young child is missing, the world is looking for her. The investigation is international and costing us a fortune. Innocent people are getting hurt, its taking up police time. If one us did not disclose vital information we would be prosecuted for withholding information. Its seems that a priest can hide behind the cloth and get away with this, I just hope he realises that above all a little 4 year girl is still missing and if she is still alive could be in extreme danger or misery. I just hope that if he does know anything that he can still live with himself.

As a published novelist - Crime Thrillers and Romantic Novels - I thought your post was far too wordy, with no content , weak arguments and biased beyond belief. If you want people to read it, learn to read ,then learn to write if you don’t have anything better to do. The name you use is pretty lousy also.
It also showed no level of understanding, emotion was missing from it.
I didn’t feel moved one way or the other. I also didn’t feel entertained.
And FAR too long. A lot more could be said in a lot less time and space.
So, it’s back to school for The Player.
Overall, I give it 10 thumbs down. I realise it’s an amateur attempt at attacking someone with more talent than yourself than you have in your one typing finger but I don’t think publishers will be calling for you anytime soon. LOL

Actually, I felt in the way it participated in while, at the same time subverting, the sub-culture of tribute films which fill the clip sites at the moment, Spudgun’s film would be a useful inclusion in any film course which explores the discourse of current affairs and how its interpretion by independent media.
But as your film course would seem to be Hollywood slanted, then I doubt that it made this sort of inclusion.

I was thinking a little bit the same way, wondering if only one of the parents was involved. Now the Portuguese police doesn’t seem to think that way but believe GM assisted to hide and dispose of the body. The Portuguese police are alleged to consider the possibility Madeleine suffered an allergic reaction to the sedatives and that would be where it all went wrong.
Personally I think it all started to go wrong leaving three toddlers alone in a hotel room.

There is a common misconception being circulated at the moment. Whilst there has been much conjecture on the guilt/innocence of the Mccann’s a great injustice has been done.
Kate McCann has been declared a MILF. I disagree strongly. The real MILF in this whole saga is Aunt Philly. Why not more coverage on her? Fight for the rights.
