A source says a new ad campaign to find Madeleine will start in two weeks.

As newspaper Correio de Manha reports, Spanish police have given their Portuguese counterparts CCTV footage “showing the Renault Scenic in places in Spain where there was ‘no reason’ for the couple to be.”
A TV series based on Madeleine McCann is being produced in Chile. Says Chilean newspaper El Mercurio: “The case is becoming a soap opera.”

Just flicked through last night’s posts and, if I haven’t missed anything, there are registered domains FRERKATEMCCANN.COM and FREEGERRYMCCANN.COM.
Why is there no registration for both of them together, e.g. freekateandgerrymccann.com or similar? Are they only expecting one of them to be arrested?

It was around 6pm on the day the little girl went missing. I saw this Englishman standing under the stairwell.
“He was round-faced and stocky, wearing light clothes and positioned so that he was monitoring the car park area, stairs and elevator. He was hiding and watching what was going on. I didn’t see him at first. I was collecting some linen, bent down to pick it up and nearly bumped into him.
“We gave each other a big fright and both jumped back. We moved aside for each other. But he didn’t move away.”
After Madeleine vanished from the Ocean Club later on May 3 the witness was interviewed routinely by police.

Actually, that is not the same apartment that the McCanns stayed in. I sent an e-mail to the owners of the apartment earlier this week through their website using the link you provided. I asked them if the floor plan in the German media site Bild was the floor plan to their apartment http://www.bild.t-online.de/BTO/news/2007/09/21/fall-madeleine/imagemap/imagemap,geo=2533040.htmland
I also asked about the bedroom door for the bedroom marked #3–did it swing in or out of the bedroom when opened. This was their quick response, which I posted on an earlier thread this week on Anorak (in comment at the end of 9/25 article on Anorak.

Thank you Karen and Portia!!! A lot of insight here into religion. It does confirm my belief that we need to separate church and state.
Madeleine, the patron saint of abused children. Is there one yet and can a child be a saint? I know St Nick is the patron saint of children but would Mother Teresa be a better choice?
So any thoughts on why they switched priests? As an unreligious american I want to say no one in their right mind would leave a child with a Catholic Priest but in reality what is the difference? They left the twins with the Anglican? Did the Catholic hear a confession of sorts and they had to move on? The Priest change is a bit weird to me. Or is that not strange at all?
Any thought on Ylana? I always thought M’s parents should have diverted some of the Maddy money to looking for her and what ever other British children are currently missing.
I certainly am no saint but would have surely helped anyone in my position, had my child gone missing and I was able to raise as much money as the McC’s.

1056. The Anglicans share the church with Catholics in Praia da luz.
The Anglicans are the Church of England, which was created when King Henry the 8th split with Rome because he wanted a divorce.
During and after the Reformation England had lots of religious controversies between Catholics (who wanted to stay with Rome), Episcopalians (who believed in having English bishops) and Presbyterians (who wanted rid of all religious hierarchy and the Mass, which would be replaced with sermons and hymns).
The Anglican Church tired to accommodate and compromise with them all. At the moment, it’s more or less back to being Catholic, but it’s not returned to Rome.
