“Satellite and aerial footage as well as internet traffic should be used to help the hunt,” say “intelligence experts”, including Professor Anthony Glees, Director of Brunel University’s Centre for Intelligence and Security Studies. Security is his thing.

Pages 6 and 7: “POLICE PROBE LOST 2 HOURS” – Police Claim the McCanns buried Madeleine during a “missing two hours” in Spain.
Kate and Gerry are “shattered”.
Says the Sun:
“SUSPICIOUS the trip was postponed from the day before – because Gerry had intestinal problems.
“’STRANGE’” that the couple from Rothley, Leics, chose to visit Spain on a national holiday, when the shops were shut.
“MYSTERIOUS that the McCanns racked up ‘unjustified mileage’ in their Renault Scenic – hired 25 days after Maddie disappeared.”
A source says a new ad campaign to find Madeleine will start in two weeks.
DAILY MAIL page 3: “Police use CCTV to map McCanns trips.”
As newspaper Correio de Manha reports, Spanish police have given their Portuguese counterparts CCTV footage “showing the Renault Scenic in places in Spain where there was ‘no reason’ for the couple to be.”
A TV series based on Madeleine McCann is being produced in Chile. Says Chilean newspaper El Mercurio: “The case is becoming a soap opera.”
DAILY MIRROR front page: “KATE IS SO FRAGILE. Fears for mum after latest blow.”
Kate McCann’s face is all over the front page. “The anguish is plain to see.” A friend hears that Madeleine had not been found in Morocco: “Kate is so fragile. She’s suffering a devastating disappointment.”
Page 5: “They suffered a devastating blow with the false alarm in Morocco. Kate has crashed.”

237 - Kinda makes sense you are an ex cop. You don’t seem to be very observant. You watch the McCann interviews then come back and say they don’t change their stories. I don’t read newspapers, other than for football, so I’m hardly likely to comment on something I don’t read.
If the McCann circus want to release facts, and it was them who did so, not the PH or press, then let the facts be consistent.
Like you I am peeved, but by bigots like you who ignore the fact that not one on the Tapas 9 have corroborated a single shred of information. WHY?

Stevo… even witnesses are bound by the secrecy. Murat’s mother, the group that were in the restaurant that night, the MW staff. (The nanny didn’t speak till she was out of Portugal) If anyone has mode a statement to the PJ they are a witness and that’s it.
Fine if you never have to go back there but if you do then I really can understand silence. Portugese prisons are not like here that’s for sure!
They have already threatened Kate M with jail for speaking about the alleged deal and the bible page and that was second-hand.
Its a dodgy line to walk…….

Don’t people earn respect?
There is something about the McC’s that despite their intelligence and status they are behaving badly as parents and its as parents we are judging them.
They have put themselves ‘above’ rank and file by behaving like celebrities. This they are not , they are meant to be anguished parents, not at the helm of the good ship ‘PR McCann’
A little genuine humility would go a long way in their favour, as would some silence.
You can slag me off all you want, but I am PRO Madeleine, I hope she or her remains are found soon so she can have the dignity of a resting place and all can pay their last respects to her, she seriously deserves some

Their interviews are odd.
What are we supposed to do? Lie? Say oh, that’s perfectly normal when it blatantly isn’t?
It could all be the fault of the P.R. - but they hired the P.R. and if they read this forum or even just Anoraks’ articles then they should have realised that by now.
P.S. Do you read Anorak? Have you noticed the satirical tone or do you bypass it and go straight for the posters?

And remember that when Gerry stormed out of the interview with the Portuguese interviewer, he wasn’t bound by any law to keep quiet. People forget that. He could have answered yes or no to the simple question presented to him and that wouldn’t have violated anything. He chose to storm off for some reason. It’s incidents like that where people are not very happy with the parents’ attitude.

Sure. I don’t like the vindictive treatment dished out to the McCanns either. I’m anti-McCann because they left their toddlers alone. That is inexcusable and has resulted in the loss of a child. Beyond that, there is no reason to crucify them and I agree with that.
Personally, I would like to see more answers from them to fundamental questions. For instance, they had months before becoming arguidos and therefore they could have given lots of information to the press and people at large. They could have given a realistic timeline in any of the interviews. They deliberately didn’t give out any valuable information and that’s why the press speculated so much. All it would have taken is a simple interview - like a Crimewatch reconstruction of the events that night. We’ve never had it and that’s why a lot of people are very inflamed with the McCanns.

Portuguese journalist Paulo Reis says the police made them arguidos because they refused to answer questions when interviewd separately - he says it was not because they or their lawyer requested arguido status themselves. If this is so, it is highly significant.
