“Satellite and aerial footage as well as internet traffic should be used to help the hunt,” say “intelligence experts”, including Professor Anthony Glees, Director of Brunel University’s Centre for Intelligence and Security Studies. Security is his thing.

“SUSPICIOUS the trip was postponed from the day before – because Gerry had intestinal problems.
“’STRANGE’” that the couple from Rothley, Leics, chose to visit Spain on a national holiday, when the shops were shut.
“MYSTERIOUS that the McCanns racked up ‘unjustified mileage’ in their Renault Scenic – hired 25 days after Maddie disappeared.”
A source says a new ad campaign to find Madeleine will start in two weeks.
DAILY MAIL page 3: “Police use CCTV to map McCanns trips.”
As newspaper Correio de Manha reports, Spanish police have given their Portuguese counterparts CCTV footage “showing the Renault Scenic in places in Spain where there was ‘no reason’ for the couple to be.”
A TV series based on Madeleine McCann is being produced in Chile. Says Chilean newspaper El Mercurio: “The case is becoming a soap opera.”
DAILY MIRROR front page: “KATE IS SO FRAGILE. Fears for mum after latest blow.”

So Maura, I gather you support the McCanns. Can you explain to me where Madeleine is? Why there is no evidence to support the abduction theory? Why no one has stepped forward with information which would lead to finding Madeleine and then they can collect the massive reward? Why is it that the British police dogs detected “death” and “cadaver” scent on several McCann items? Why don’t the McCanns ever use the media to send Madeleine messages of love, courage and hope? Why does Gerry have a blog? Thank you for answering these questions.

368. A child Madeleine’s age wouldn’t need the last rites. She hadn’t made her first confession or made her first Holy Communion yet.
The Priest would go to comfort her, and maybe give her parents communion, prayers would be said - but, as long as she was baptised, nothing would be essential.

I think you need to go back and look at the interviews and look closely to see Kate’s hairdos and outfits because your memory is failing you.
It would be quite easy to store a body of a small toddler for any length of time let alone 3 weeks. They’re hardly too large to fit in a freezer are they?

“What help is that to Madeleine?”
If they do not take steps to protect themselves, and they are wrongly tried and convicted as being responsible for Madeleins disappearance - how is THAT going to help Madeleine? How are they going to look for her if they are behind bars?
Why is everyone constantly criticising the McCanns about what they do or don’t do about looking for her? Isn’t that supposed to be the job of the PJ? Or is that we all suspect the PJ are doing stuff all and so realise the parents are her only hope, so thinking they aren’t doing enough, we criticise them in frustration?
Of course anything they do to look for her, they have to do in secret - the PJ wanting to charge them for hiring Controled Risks is proof positive of that. Now that I mention it - where are the criticisms of the PJ for their inaction or their threatening the McCanns for THEIR action? People wouldn’t have double standards would they?
Did anyone else notice that the other day the PJ said they were keeping an open mind and were looking at all possibilities? This is what the Spanish tourist who took the photo in the latest fruitless Madeleine sighting reported:
“The woman said that Portuguese police were not interested in her report because they assumed that Madeleine was already dead.”
Open minded my foot!
If this were happening in the UK, would people be expecting the Police to look for Madeline or would they think it normal for them to sit on their hands and let the parents drive the investigation?

Of all the possible scenarios - and especially accidental death, nothing could be so bad as to go and admit to the authorities you accidentally killed your child if that’s what really happened. Even giving your daughter away to someone because you didn’t like your child or had a tough time raising them is not something anyone would crucify you for doing. I mean…lots of women have given up children for adoption.
So, if it really wasn’t an abduction, the thought of what happened really does become dark and sinister and I really don’t want to think of what bad really happened. If Madeleine is alive I hope she’s well and if she’s dead I hope she didn’t suffer.

I think that this is actually all very simple. The Mccanns went out and did the things any Brits on Holiday do (drink wine - too much - eat lots of food, have fun). Unfortunately they had a few kids with them. One of them went missing. How career damaging is that! So they (and all the other naughty Doctors)say ‘we checked all the time and besides we thought that we were in a fantasy world where there are no nasty boogie men’. Now, never mind us, lets look errrr…over there…go on, stop looking at me ….. look over there ….no it doesnt matter where…there…not at me’
I wonder - as that Head Teacher has been fined for the accidental death of a child in his school - if the Mccanns can also be prosecuted for failing in their duty of care? I mean, surely if the Head Teacher is guilty of neglecting to block off a dangerous area then the Mccanns can’t claim they didnt fail to block off the mysterious figure hiding behind that par topen door.. said a friend quite a long way away from the Mccanns (using Mccanns method to get around having to substantiate my words).

Well of course they wouldn’t do the BawBaw WaaWaa interview because she would probably ask some uncomfortable questions that they could not answer because of the PJ secrecy laws. So the whole interview would be useless.
Catholic Qustion…
They are devout C’s (supposedly - even though they had IVF) What are Catholic beliefs re death and burial. If you dumped the body at sea without last rites is that ‘kosher’ (sorry ) Would they have to bury her on sacred ground or something along those lines. And didn’t they change from one religion to another mid stream?

Not sure Stevo. I personally wouldn’t speak about my child in the past tense regardless that she’s no longer an infant especially due to the circumstances. It also makes it sounds to me (and I could be reading too much into Kate’s words) that she’s saying she was perfect then but isn’t now.

I know. I doubt they were advised to not do things to inflame a would-be abductor because who knows or is an expert on such matters? I mean…that’s not a job you see advertised in Yellow Pages is it? I think if you’re frantic and clutching at straws you would do ANYTHING that you personally thought would help. And you’d see signs of a frantic person. All we’ve seen is a businesslike approach that looks like it had lots of planning from the start.
